"That Huang Lang already knew that the pheasant was powerful, so he had to be respectful. Baihuan said: "My lord has heard of Brother Xian for a long time, and has been looking forward to it for a long time, if Brother Xian does not give up, he is willing to go to the cave mansion, and he will be able to sit firmly in the second position, and then I will ask Brother Xian to take care of him." Pheasant Jing said: "In the past thousands of years, I have seen a lot of successes and failures in the Three Realms, and I have no intention of fighting for any false fame, I just want to be stable and take care of my life, and I am satisfied." Baihuan said: "Brother Xian is bad." You and I cultivators do not want to achieve positive results, our lord has a good prescription, can overcome the day to become a Buddha and become holy, take off this skin, willing to share such a fairy life with the virtuous brother, so I sent the two of us to invite. I want to wait for this thousand years of mana to be unabandoned, and if I want to cultivate as a virtuous brother, I will definitely make my lord treat me differently!"

Seeing that it was getting late, the two had no intention of retreating, and the pheasant spirit was not easy to chase. Baihuan said: "If Brother Xian carries love, how about I ask Brother Xian for a glass of water and wine?" Although the pheasant spirit is displeased, it is not easy to refuse, but the little demon in the cave is ordered to quickly set up a feast. After a while, the banquet was set up, but it was just some mountain and river flavors. The two were not humble and invited each other to take a seat. Bai Huan bowed and said: "Brother Xian, Huang Gongzi's cultivation is still shallow, and he doesn't know the rules of the Three Realms, so please raise your noble hand and let him make a compensation." The pheasant said: "How dare you." What kind of style is there below? Please Huang Gongzi not be humble. That Huang Lang knew that he was not an opponent, so he hurriedly knelt down on his knees, wanting to ask for mercy, but his mouth was never open.

The pheasant spirit hurriedly got up to help each other, and pressed hard when the four hands were handed over, and Huang Lang suddenly felt that his body was light, and he was busy shouting "offended". The white and yellow people offered wine diligently, and at the fourth watch, the three of them were a little drunk, and the white and yellow people did not mention the invitation, but just blindly persuaded the wine.

In the middle of drinking, I only felt the ground shaking and roaring, and the pheasant spirit was alert, and he rushed out of the cave, but he was shocked - it turned out that the Buddha light in the White Horse Temple was gone in an instant.

The white and yellow duo then arrived and asked what was the matter. The pheasant suddenly woke up and said: "Two virtuous brothers, someone must have come to the White Horse Temple to steal the treasure, you and I should go to protect the treasure together!" Baihuan Zhengse said: "What the virtuous brother said is very true, you go to settle down with your family quickly, and I will go with you." The pheasant spirit only thought it was a good intention, and rushed into the cave and shouted: "The descendants listen to the order, the adults follow me to the White Horse Temple as soon as possible, and the young ones guard the cave!" Bai Huan said with a smile: "Pheasant Spirit, this treasure is none other than my lord Nantian King." I waited for the two of us to persuade you to join the gang, but you didn't comply, so you had to do this. If you don't disturb the good deeds, I will wait for Jinghe not to commit it, and after taking the treasure, I will return your free body. Otherwise, you will not be able to escape!" Bai Huan chanted a spell in his mouth, only to see the golden net filling with lightning and crackling.

The pheasant knew that he was deceived, but he didn't know the depth of this golden net, so he didn't dare to rush out of the hole. I know that if this treasure is meritorious, the Buddha will be happy, and it is not impossible to reward the golden body, and if you are timid in your life, it is better to break through once, as long as the original spirit is not dispersed, you will be expected to achieve positive results. After thinking about it, he revealed his body, which was more than a zhang high, and he used all his strength to flap his wings and shout, intending to warn everyone that he didn't want to make a hula and shake the cave open. It turns out that this pheasant is shy by nature and does not like to be named, so it is rare. I don't want to condense all my strength with this breath, and it is really a blockbuster. Seeing this, the little demon in the cave hurriedly spread his wings and flew away. Seeing this, the white ring was furious and scolded: "If you don't know what to do, you have to go, be careful that we will burn your cave and destroy your descendants!" The pheasant spirit didn't say a word, and spread its wings and flew towards the White Horse Temple.

It turned out that 600 years ago, there were Diao people who listened to the bewitchment and sneaked into the temple to find the opportunity to steal the treasure, but did not find the jewels, only to see the ordinary monks pacing and chanting in the Daxiong Palace. After the people felt the kindness of the pheasant spirit, repaired the pheasant shrine at the foot of the mountain, and the incense continued for a while. But at that time, Buddhism had just entered the Central Plains, and it was not enough to compete with Taoism, so the Buddha did not transform the pheasant. And the Jade Emperor was dissatisfied with the pheasant's help to foreign teachers, and he did not praise it, so for hundreds of years, the pheasant spirit still had no divine status to accept.

In a moment, he flew to the front of the temple, only to hear the sound of fighting in the temple, and there were bandits who set fire. The pheasant flew into the main hall, and saw that the monks were injured and fled, and many bandits and grass robbers were showing off their might. When the monks saw this, they shouted: "The Pheasant Saint Great Immortal is sacred!" Those thieves and grass robbers were stunned, and they also knelt down and begged for mercy. The pheasant spirit looked up, and there was a tile on the jade platform of the Buddha lamp upside down, which buckled the light to prevent it from overflowing. It seems that this bandit must have been prepared for a long time, and if he does not let the lamp come out, I am afraid that the king of Nanshan will come. At this moment, I only heard the strong wind and the thick fog, which made people feel frightened.

The abbot, the prison house, the Vena, the Zhidian and other ordinary monks are all fighting in disheveled clothes, the abbot knelt down and said: "Pheasant Saint Great Immortal, the treasure of my temple is the Buddha lamp hanging in this hall, all the great immortals must be preserved, and they must not fall into the hands of demons, otherwise they will be ruined and will never recover!"

The Buddha intended to purify the Central Plains, ordered the four Bodhisattvas to preach Buddhism in the Central Plains, and turned 13 Buddhist temples, and paid tribute to the Buddha relics in each temple, and the first temple where the Buddha was introduced to the Central Plains - the White Horse Temple, the Buddha did not place the relics, but personally took down a Buddha lamp on the Daxiong Hall to offer it to the Daxiong Hall here. This is the fire of the Buddha's lamp, take the pure dew as the oil, and the wood of the dislocation as the core, although it is the candle of the lamp, but it can protect one side, and the demon of the evil heart can be removed in the lamp temple, and a golden light is within a radius of a hundred miles, but the naked eye can not see it. In order to ensure that the Buddha lamp is not extinguished, the temple arranges for the monks in the temple to have someone to take care of this lamp day and night. Not to prevent sleepiness at night, every night more than a dozen monks around the lamp, chanting Buddhist scriptures, adding water to the core, once the lamp is extinguished, the monks on duty will have the disaster of extinction, the light is expelled from the mountain gate, the heavy is the sky lantern to cover the top. Therefore, the monks did not dare to be careless.

As he spoke, six demons had broken in, and above the temple was a golden-clothed monster, with black, green, yellow, and white demons in the east, west, south, and north, and a gray-clothed old demon poked out of the ground, surrounding the pheasant spirit. The pheasant spirit saw that the situation was not good, flew to break the earth, and in an instant the golden light was full of light, the six spirits were like boiling oil pouring their bodies, burning in the fire, and their bodies were peeled off by the Buddha's fire, and the five spirits were so shocked that they quickly retreated. The abbot said: "Please swallow the holy fire quickly, and we will chant to protect the golden body of the great immortal." After that, all the monks in this group sat upright, reciting the Great Compassion Mantra, and suddenly the Sanskrit sound was lingering. The pheasant spirit didn't dare to think too much, opened his mouth and swallowed the holy fire into his mouth, not wanting the jade platform to collapse in an instant, and those monks also died with the collapse of the jade platform. Although the monk died, the Sanskrit sound did not stop. The pheasant spirit only felt a splitting headache and unbearable pain, and opened his mouth to spit out the holy fire, not wanting that the Buddha fire had erupted from his mouth, nose, eyes and ears. In an instant, the temple had turned to ashes, and the golden-bodied monster was afraid of being set on fire, so he hurriedly fled for his life.

Only the pheasant remained, only burning tossing and turning, but it couldn't spit out the fire of the Buddha lamp. Those monks who chanted sutras had already been burned into relics. The pheasant was in great pain, knocked out of the mountain, saw a stream, jumped into it, did not want to ignite the stream, a fire, burned the world and the earth were clear, but see:

This fire comes from the Buddha lamp, and the prairie does not need wind.

Urgent poisonous snake letter, fierce out of the long dragon.

Hidden in the stone, in the wood.

Helping to clear the source of water, the power is infinite.

The pheasant essence had to jump out and flutter on the ground. Fortunately, there is a Sanskrit sound, so it will not die

At this time, it was late at night, and Chengdao had already fallen asleep, and suddenly dreamed that the mountains and rivers were on fire, and Mu Kejin was injured, and he couldn't help but wake up. Suddenly, I heard that Chongren Bo was calling softly outside the hall, and the enlightenment was announced, and the death was said: A fire suddenly appeared in the southwest at the third watch, which lasted for a long time, and seemed to be thousands of miles away, and it was suspected that the city was burned. Chengdao hurriedly proclaimed the god of the world, ordered the god of the world to hold the Guanghua blade and Ran Min to guard the Chongyou Cave, and ordered Fengyi and the dead to monitor the Taiwei and Situ mansions to prevent the heavenly soldiers from attacking by taking advantage of the void, so he ordered the attendants to fly out of the mountain with auspicious clouds. As I got closer, I saw the flames of the rivers and knew that this fire was not the fire of the mortal world. Offering the Guanshi Mirror to absorb the flames, I saw a bird flying and fluttering on the ground, and the raging flames were burning. Cheng Dao asked angrily: "Evil beast, actually lead the heavenly fire to the realm?" The pheasant spirit saw that the god of the day was here, and the light of the seven treasures appeared on the top, and the golden armor god beside him knew that it was an immortal figure, and he was busy calling for help. Cheng Daoyan said: "You must tell the root of this matter as it is, but there is a half-false word, and you will let this day burn your primordial spirit!"

Enlightenment revisited the Guanshijing, and the matter was originally the same as what the pheasant spirit said, so the pheasant essence was included in the Guanshi mirror to prevent the Buddha fire from burning the pheasant. Enlightenment wondered in his heart, how could there be such a powerful spirit rampant here? The Buddha's fire was blazing and enough to shake the earth, why were all the immortals in the heavens, the earth, the earth, and the mountain gods missing? So he burned the letter and went straight to the western heavens.

Enlightenment and his entourage had just entered the Western Blissful Realm, and the Southern Growth Heavenly King had already followed and came straight to the Daxiong Treasure Palace. The temple has already burned Sanskrit incense, the Buddha repaid it, and the Buddha left his seat to greet him. I saw the Buddha:

Sitting on the lotus pure platform, auspicious clouds surround the holy light.

The supreme Dharma is passed on to the mortal world, and the door to relief from misfortune and suffering is opened.

The gold and silver are bright and glazed, and the coral is gorgeous and white.

The red pearl is bright and agate green, sweeping away the dust of the world's hearts.

Enlightenment first greeted the Buddha, and the Buddha also went down to the altar to return the salute, and then the Bodhisattvas, Venerables, Arhats, etc. After the guests and hosts were seated, the Buddha sat in the center, the ten disciples were on both sides, and there were eighteen arhats standing with their hands down. Cheng Daoyan said: "Buddha, there are spirits in a certain realm who want to steal the holy fire, but fortunately there are pheasants to repel it, but it is self-defeating and turns the treasure temple into ashes. I came here to apologize to the Buddha for this matter. The Buddha said, "Some causes are caused by cause and effect." The spirit is greedy, and wants to attract the power of the holy fire, and the pheasant sacrifices his life to protect the treasure, showing the power of the Buddha. This matter is all a catastrophe, and the emperor does not have to blame himself. The Buddha smiled and said: "The matter is determined by the birth, the time is determined by the fortune, that is, the matter is under the jurisdiction of the emperor, but it is decided by the emperor." Chengdao bowed down and thanked him, and said, "Obey the Buddha's decree." I thought to myself, in order to protect the Dharma, the pheasant has swallowed the Buddha's fire, and now if he wants to get out of the fire, he will tear his life, I am afraid that it is contrary to my Dharma. A certain pleaded with the Buddha to save the pheasant's life. "The Buddha waved his jade hand, and there was already a Venerable Sariputta holding a gold plate, there were two things, one is frost yarn, one is pomegranate wood, the Buddha said: "Emperor, the fire that the pheasant drinks is taken from the Buddha lamp in the main hall, the marigold is bright, the jade platform is gorgeous, with wood as the core, water as the oil, can shine on the sun and the moon does not shine, but when the tomorrow and the earth are not clear, it is the treasure of my teachings and preaching." These two things are the prescription of the life-shield lamp, one is the western pomegranate wood, which can be taken off when the fire erupts in May, and can be used as a wick; The emperor can use these two things to rescue the pheasant. "I thanked the Buddha for enlightenment, farewell to everyone, and didn't say anything about returning to Fengming Mountain.

After the feast was dispersed, Sariputta and Youpo left together, and said with a smile: "The Buddha does not interfere in this matter, I am afraid that it has something to do with Li Chengdao's ability to contain the heavenly court." I taught Zeng to go east, but Heavenly Court had obstructed it in every way, and now it has deployed heavy troops at the head of the realm to prevent me from crossing east. Now, as long as Li Chengdao is full-fledged, the favor he owes to the Buddha will definitely be returned. You Po was puzzled: "How can the Jade Emperor be willing to give up, and Li Chengdao is fighting against Heavenly Court, which is really a huge disparity in strength." Sariputta said: "Heaven seems to be strong, but it is actually a plate of scattered sand, and enlightenment seems to be weak, but there is a heaven outside the law." I think that when the Heavenly Court first subdued and became enlightened, the Mother of Heaven and Earth appeared, and the three emperors and five emperors and other immortals interceded for it, which can see the potential power of Li Chengdao. Moreover, Feng Mingshan is friendly with Confucianism, and there are thousands of Confucian disciples, and it is not easy for Heavenly Court to eradicate enlightenment. Now we will wait for the balance of power between the two, and then we can take advantage of it. You Poli said: "The hatred between the two is deep, and I am afraid that the sword and soldiers will see each other for a long time, and it will affect my teaching." Sariputta smiled and said, "I can't ask for it! When both sides are defeated, it is the time for me to teach the world." That is, whether it is Heavenly Court or Fengming Mountain, will seek the Buddha's help, and at that time I will teach the East, isn't it just right?!"
