Chapter 322: Disguise
The crowd frantically rushed forward, shouting Ella's name, and at this point, the guards turned their heads!
Worried about whether the dragoons will be in danger. Robert took the opportunity and got as close to Wade as he could.
"Wade!" he said quickly, hoping Wade would understand the elvish language he spoke.
"Tell Calamon to keep pretending. No matter what I do, he must believe in me! Everything depends on his trust in me. Whatever I do. Do you understand?"
Wade looked at Robert in surprise and nodded hesitantly. It had been a long time since he had heard anyone speak Elvish.
Robert could only hope he understood.
Calamon didn't know Elvish at all, and even though his voice would be drowned out by the noise of the crowd, Robert didn't dare to risk using the lingua franca.
Despite this, one of the guards still twisted his hand vigorously and ordered him to shut up.
The noise stopped, and the crowd was driven back to their original positions. The guards saw that the situation was under control and began to leave with the prisoners.
Robert suddenly became unsteady, stumbled, and fell with the guards who were holding him.
"Hurry up, bastard!" another guard struck Robert in the face with his whip.
The half-elf lunged at the guard, grabbing the whip and his hand.
Robert pulled out as hard as he could, causing the guard to fall to the ground in embarrassment.
For a brief moment, he was free from all restraints.
Robert ran forward, realizing the guards behind him who were struggling to catch up, and Calamon's surprised expression, and he immediately pounced on the man on the back of the blue dragon.
"Kidaila!" he shouted, and the guards caught him just in time.
"Ella," he shouted in a hoarse voice.
He struggled with the guards, and with one free hand he took off his helmet.
The dragoon, dressed in dark blue armor, immediately turned around when she heard her name called.
He could see her brown eyes under her mask, widening with them.
He could also see the male dragon beneath her turn around and look at him with burning eyes.
"Ella!" Robert shouted.
Out of desperation, he shook off his pursuers and pounced again.
But the dragonmen in the crowd rushed out and struggled to crush him to the ground. Robert still struggled to see the dragoon's face.
"Stop, Blue Sky," Ella's gloved hand commanded, placing it around the dragon's neck.
Blue Sky stopped submissively, his paws sliding gently across the cobblestone ground.
But when his eyes glared at Robert, there was a burning of jealousy and resentment.
Robert inhaled non-stop. His heart was pounding.
His head seemed to crack, and blood kept flowing into one eye, but he didn't care.
He waited for his friends to yell and catch up with the sound of help, which meant Wade didn't understand.
He waited for Ella to notice his half-brother Calamon behind him and recognize him.
He didn't dare to look back at what happened to his friend. He could only hope that Calamon would be smarter and confident enough that he would not come near him.
Now the captain walked over, and his remaining eye flashed with rage. The captain lifted one foot, ready to knock the troublesome guy unconscious.
"Stop," someone said.
The captain stopped abruptly and almost fell due to overexertion.
"Let him go. "The same voice.
Reluctantly, the guards let Robert go under the unquestionable gesture of the Dark Daughter.
"What's so important that you're going to disturb my ritual of entering the city?" she asked coldly, her voice coming from behind her helmet deeper.
Robert staggered to his feet, feeling limp from the sudden loss of stress, groggy from the aftermath of the fight he had just had with the guards.
He walked unsteadily over to Ella. As he got closer, he saw a hint of pleasure in Ella's brown eyes.
She enjoyed the moment......
A new game to play with old toys. Robert cleared his throat and said loudly.
"These fools have arrested me on charges of desertion," he said, "only because that damned baccaris forgot to hand me the papers." ”
"Anyone dares to wronged you, and I'll let him get the punishment he deserves, my good Tancellus. Ella replied.
Robert could hear the smile in her voice. "How can you be so bold?" she added, glaring back at the captain, who twitched at the sight of her turning.
'Oh—I'm just obedient—obeying, sir," he said, trembling like a goblin.
"Get out of here, or I'll feed you to my dragon," Ella shook her hand resolutely.
Then, in the same graceful pose, reach out to Robert. "To compensate for your fright, may I give you a ride, Commander?"
"Thank you, sir. Robert said.
Robert glared at the captain, took Ella's hand, and climbed onto the blue dragon's back in an instant.
As Ella ordered Blue Sky to move forward, Robert quickly glanced at the crowd.
For a moment, he didn't see his target, and then he sighed in satisfaction as he finally saw Calamon and the others being led away by the guards.
The big man watched them pass by, a puzzled expression on his face. But he kept going.
Maybe Wade had told him the news and told Calamon to continue his disguise, or else Calamon still believed him.
Robert himself wasn't sure. His friends are safer now, at least much safer than they are with him.
Robert suddenly realized that this might be the last time he saw them.
He shook his head, not letting this bother him.
He turned his head and saw a mixture of cunning and undisguised admiration in Ella's brown eyes.
Tylo Kosi tiptoed to see what happened to Robert. He heard shouting, and then there was a moment of silence.
Later, he saw Robert climb onto the dragon's back and sit with Ella. The whole ceremony continued.
The Kander thought Robert was looking this way, and if that was the case, he didn't show any unusual expression.
The guards continued to push the remaining prisoners through the bustling crowd, and Wade soon lost sight of his friend.
One of the guards stabbed Karamon in the ribs with a short sword.
"It looks like your friend hitched a ride on the dragoon and left you alone in prison to stink," the dragonman said with a giggle.
"He won't forget me," Calamon said.
The dragonman smiled and nudged his companion, who was pulling the Kander's collar as he walked forward.
"Of course, he'll come back to you, if he can find his way out of her bed!"
Calamon blushed and frowned. Tyrokosi glanced worriedly at the tall warrior.
The Kanders had not yet found an opportunity to relay Robert's message to Calamon, and he was afraid that the warriors would ruin everything.
Although Wade himself is not quite sure, there is nothing else to destroy. But......
Calamon simply said in a humiliated voice, "I can get out before I come back," he said in a deep voice.
"We're good buddies who share weal and worn. He won't let me down......"
Wade heard Calamon's words and twisted urgently, trying to find an opportunity to tell Calamon.
At this moment, Lena screamed in anger.
Wade turned her head and saw that the dragonman had ripped her sleeve off, and there was already blood on her neck from the dragonman's claws.
Calamon warned that it was too late. Lena didn't hesitate to put her hand on the back of her hand. Hit the reptile in the head, just like the barmaid is used to.
The dragonman angrily pushed Lena down the street and raised his whip.
Wade heard Calamon take a breath, and the Kander closed his eyes, ready to accept the end of the story.
"Hey, don't hurt her!" shouted Calamon. "Unless you're willing to be responsible.
Mistress Ella told us to sell it for six silver coins, and if she had a scar on her body, she wouldn't be able to sell it for that price!"
The dragonman hesitated for a moment. Indeed, Calamon was still a prisoner.
But each dragonman saw the Dark Maiden and how she welcomed his friends personally. Do they dare to risk angering another, who may also be favored by her?
He decided that it would be better not to take the risk. They rudely pulled Lena up and pushed her forward.
Wade breathed a sigh of relief and stole a glance back at Becleral, feeling that he was unusually quiet.
He felt right. The Eternal Man seems to be in another world entirely.
His mouth was wide open and he looked like an idiot. At least he shouldn't be causing much trouble.
It seems that Calamon will continue to be competent, playing his part, and Lena will not go wrong for a while.
At least for this period of time, no one needs him. Wade began to look around the temple with great interest—at least within the turnable range of the dragonman's neck being pulled.
Having no other entertainment, he still felt that it was a bit of a waste of time.
The Nairaka was exactly the same as it had been, a small village built to feed the people who lived in the temple.
It's just that now it's covered with a large number of tents, and it looks like a lot of spring shoots that have popped up after the rain.
At the far end of the temple square, the temple looks down on the city like a vulture.
Its deformed, distorted structure seemed to subjugate the mountains in the distance. As soon as anyone enters Nairakar, their eyes must immediately move to the temple.
After that, no matter what he was doing, whatever was going through his head, the temple would always appear before him, even at night, even in his dreams.
The temple was so mysterious that Wade was so obsessed with it that he even saw it many times in his dreams—the ethereal but full of light.
Robert also had no way at this time, if he wanted to hide from the dragoon's eyes, he could only disguise himself as a ridiculous beard.
