Chapter Twenty-Five: Charlie Strikes

The crowd of Eyre City is like a tide, and as the capital of a county, its prosperity is self-evident.

Charlie walked towards the city lord's mansion with a disgraced face, and the knight's eyes behind him flashed with a trace of indignation and unwillingness.

There was the sound of footsteps in the City Lord's Mansion, and a middle-aged man who reminded him of the thin side raised his head from the mountain of official documents on the previous plan. Although his expression was flat, there was a murderous aura in his eyes.

"Lord Viscount and his subordinate Charlie have something to report." Charlie bowed to Viscount Adolf.

Adolf looked at Charlie, saw the indignation in his eyes, and asked him, "What's the matter?"

"Today, my subordinates went outside the city to inspect ......." Charlie didn't dare to slack off, and hurriedly respectfully told Adolf what happened today.

Adolf listened to Charlie's narration, and gradually frowned, and the murderous aura exuded by his hands became a little thicker at this time.

"Bump".

When the last word was uttered by Charlie, Adolf slammed his fist on the table and looked directly at Charlie: "You have been defeated by ten trainee warriors and one trainee magician."

"The Viscount was furious, and his subordinates only had a hundred cavalry in their hands. Although they fought to the death, those cavalry were just ordinary people after all, how could they be able to defeat eleven trainee warriors and one trainee magician." Charlie explained to Adolf.

Then, without waiting for Adolf to speak, he continued to say to him: "Besides, the trainee magician is a bit weird, although his subordinates did not see the trainee magician's attack magic, but they saw that he had a strange power."

"Strange powers?". When Charlie heard this, the anger in his heart weakened slightly.

Seeing Adolf's tone slowing down, Charlie breathed a sigh of relief: "Under that force, the lightly injured healed instantly."

"Is it a water magician?" Adolf was not a man who had never seen the world, and this led to the object of suspicion.

Charlie hurriedly replied: "It's not a water magician, but a beam of light, and his subordinates are dull and indescribable."

"Are they passing by or trying to mislead in the inevitable situation?" Adolf listened to Charlie's explanation and immediately thought of something even more deadly. If these more than 10,000 refugees pour into Elqun and El City, I am afraid that there will be a big mess. After all, the population of the entire El-group is only more than 300,000, and there is not enough food to eat. In addition to more than 10,000 old and weak women and children, if one is not careful, this famine can spread in the blink of an eye. Besides, the border of the four sides is not very peaceful.

Thinking of this, Adolf's eyes flashed with murderous intent. Is it possible that this team was sent by his old rival? Otherwise, why did he increase his troops in the west five days ago? He mobilized 5,000 troops and horses, and only then did he stabilize the western front.

Seeing Adolf's expression change, Charlie knew his worries, so he asked him cautiously: "Lord Viscount is worried that this is the back hand of the Viscount of Cochshire County."

"Tens of thousands of people have been displaced and turned into refugees by flooding Lake Noga, and I, the county of Ayr, have borne the brunt. This, combined with the two years of poor harvests and the war with Koch County, has left stocks of food insufficient. Now he is drawing wages from the bottom of the kettle, allowing more than 10,000 refugees to pour in, but I am afraid that the famine will come in a blink of an eye." Adolf voiced his concerns to Charlie.

When Charlie heard this, a trace of murderous intent flashed in his eyes: "My subordinates are willing to share the worries of Lord Viscount and lead the soldiers and horses to kill those probationary knights and magicians."

"It's not enough, we'll kill these eleven people, or it won't be long before Kochi County will send twenty or even thirty people." Adolf shook his head slowly.

Charlie seemed to have an understanding in his heart, and saluted respectfully to Adolf: "Subordinates understand, cut the grass and eradicate the roots."

"Give you 300 cavalry and 30 apprentice soldiers, and be sure to exterminate all those lowly refugees." Adolf instructed Charlie that only in this way could he do it once and for all. Thinking of this, the killing aura spread.

Charlie bowed: "Command".

Then he turned around and walked towards the outside of the City Lord's Mansion.

A loud trumpet sounded outside the city of Eyre, and Charlie appeared at the front.

Thinking of the three hundred knights standing behind him, a sneer appeared on the corner of his mouth, thirty trainee warriors plus three hundred battle-hardened cavalrymen, what if there were ten trainee warriors and one trainee magician among the more than ten refugees.

Holding the horsewhip in his hand, he shouted at the front: "Lord Viscount's military order, strangle and kill no refugees."

"Command". Three hundred cavalry and thirty trainee soldiers shouted in unison, their eyes shining with bloodthirst. Although their military discipline is corrupt, although they like to disturb the people, and although most of them are bandits, their combat effectiveness is beyond doubt.

Now that my comrades are dying so aggrieved, then use the blood of these refugees to wash away their humiliation.

The sound of whips sounded, and three hundred and thirty-one horses opened their hooves and roared forward.

......

"Enemy attack".

An exclamation instantly sounded in the dilapidated camp, and two middle-aged men with yellow faces and thin muscles hurriedly ran inside.

After experiencing the last painful sneak attack, I have long been frightened. Now that I see the traces of the soldiers and horses in Ayrshire, I can't wait to turn into birds and beasts and get out of this dangerous place.

"Enemy attack by His Holiness the Pope". A middle-aged man ran into the tent and shouted to Paul.

Paul and the others had just returned, and they hadn't reacted for a while.

Seeing this, the middle-aged man shouted again: "The soldiers and horses of Ayr County are coming."

"What". Paul exclaimed, and the joy of his heart was instantly wiped out.

Andre and Alberta and the other twenty-two people also reacted, with a hint of anger in their eyes: "Your Excellency, the Pope, ......."

Before he could say the rest of the words, he heard the wail of the sea.

"No ......".

"Ai, Viscount Eyre's soldiers and horses are here."

"Please, don't kill my child, don't kill ......."

The wails were like waves, wave after wave, and then the dense sound of horses' hooves completely drowned out the wave-like wails.

Paul ran out of the tent with a lunge and looked in the direction from which the voice had come from.

At dusk, three hundred and twenty-one people were dressed in armor like a bloodthirsty beast, using the sharp heavy sword in their hands to harvest one human life after another.

Although there are many refugees, they are all old and weak, women and children, and they have just been frightened not long ago. At this time, there was no other way to stop these cavalrymen than to run around meaninglessly.

The unbridled laughter, the wailing of the waves, and the sound of horses' hooves as if they could crush the earth were all desolate in the setting sun.
