Chapter 34: Insidious (II)

As the night fell, thirty or forty wounded and sick lay flat in the tent of the infirmary, and their wounds were strikingly similar in character, either on their limbs or on their bodies, with a burn mark the size of a bowl, and pink muscles exposed under the wounds, and from time to time they let out a miserable moan.

Suddenly, a man with an injured abdomen shook slightly, and then his head began to shake at a high frequency, and white foam continued to emerge from his mouth, as if he had epilepsy.

Then the patients next to him also had similar symptoms, as if a signal was spreading rapidly throughout the military infirmary, and the nurses who were guarding them rushed to check on them, and the symptoms of these patients intensified, bending out of an arc that is difficult for the human body to reach, making people look creepy.

The nurse panicked, this illness was unheard of before, and it was no longer something she could deal with, and the nurse rushed out of the tent and ran towards the command room.

Shortly after the nurse left the tent, the man who had been the first to react stopped, as if everything had returned to its original state.

Suddenly, a row of black spikes pierced out of his abdomen with a "poof", and then his abdomen exploded, and a black creature flew out, on all fours, with a sharp tail blade at the end of its tail, and its head extended backwards in a streamlined shape, full of violent beauty.

It roared as it looked around, and before long the second creature burst out of its belly, and the smell of blood filled the entire infirmary, and the ground was littered with organ fragments.

The nurse and the two officers hurriedly opened the door of the infirmary, and the scene inside saw the three of them retching, logically speaking, they were also battle-hardened soldiers, and the bloody scene could be said to be not strange, but the scene in front of him was too visually impactful, with clumps of organ fragments mixed with blood sticking to the wall, on the ceiling, on the ground, and half of the intestines hanging on the snow-white sheets of the hospital bed.

With their strong military literacy, they resisted the feeling of nausea and walked inside, where no one had survived in the huge infirmary.

"The deaths of these patients are very strange, like......... Something broke out," guessed the nurse, startled by her own guess.

"Whatever it is, they're definitely not here now, we're going to get the situation under control first," the officer frowned.

Before the words could be spoken, a shrill siren sounded throughout the camp, and a bloody massacre began.

The black creature that burst out of its body first seemed to be a circle larger than the rest of its kind, and it lurked in the darkness and moved silently, and the humans in the camp appeared in its vision like a fire.

Many people didn't even have time to scream and tear it to shreds, and a powerful aura nearby immediately attracted its attention, which was where Evan lived.

Sleeping Evan felt as if something was approaching but did not feel any blood, and he immediately woke up and opened his eyes, a terrifying head less than half a foot away from him, looking at him with interest.

Evan was so frightened that he didn't dare to move, and subconsciously held the dagger in his hand, as if the creature also felt its awakening, and opened its mouth violently, and there was a second mouth in it that ejected out, and at the moment of life and death, the hand he held the dagger waved violently, and actually cut off the mouthpiece.

Green blood gushed from the wound, dripping on the ground and instantly burning large holes, and the creature roared and fled.

Evan was terrified, he didn't have to think about it to understand that it was the Zerg who attacked him just now, and he was sure that if he hadn't dodged just now, he would have died.

He grabbed the dagger and walked in the direction of Werewolf Krev, who was dangerous in this situation without his own senses.

Kleve's tent had collapsed, and he was sitting on the ground gasping for breath, apparently having just been attacked, a foot-long green wound cutting through his right shoulder, and the corpse of a black creature lay next to him, much smaller than the one that had attacked Evan.

Kleve's experience was similar to Evan's, except that he took a moment to wake up, and the black zerg was not so lucky, and was slapped to death by his claws.
