Chapter 178: Hug
"Quest β Mohana," Gilsenas said. "In your language it is called long-lasting food. If there is no other option, it can be stored for several weeks without breaking. β
"It looks like sun-dried fruit!" Calamon said in disgust.
"You're right. Robert said with a smile.
Calamon let out a wail.
When Gilcenas and his party left Wellington, the sky was only a faint light, and the cold wind brought by the dark clouds was blowing incessantly. Robert stared straight ahead, not daring to look back.
He hoped that this last visit would not bring too much sorrow. He hadn't seen Lolana all morning;
Although he breathed a sigh of relief so that he didn't have to say goodbye in tears, he couldn't help but be surprised by Lorana's absence.
The trail leads to the south, with a gentle drop in elevation. Originally, the trail was overgrown with all kinds of plants, but Girsenas led the warriors who led the way to clear many obstacles along the way.
As a result, the journey was relatively easy, and many Calamon were speaking to Lena, who was clad in ill-fitting armor, teaching her how to use her dagger. Unfortunately, this teacher was not attentive.
Scarlet Moon opened Lena's long red dress to the waist to make her movement easier. Lena's fur-trimmed shirt stands out prominently at the beginning.
Her whole legs were revealed from time to time as she walked, and the girl's legs were round and slender as Calamon had imagined. Because of this distraction, Calamon felt that it was difficult for him to teach Lena wholeheartedly.
His attention was all on the beautiful student at the moment, so he didn't notice that his brother was missing.
"What about the young mage?" said Gilsenas hoarsely.
"Maybe something happened to him," Callamon said worriedly, remorseful that he hadn't noticed his brother's disappearance. He drew his sword and began to turn back down the trail.
"Don't be stupid!" Gilcenas stopped him. "What can happen to him? There can be no enemy for miles. He must have gone somewhere, and he might have to do something. β
"What do you mean?" Calamon said incredulously.
"Maybe he's going toβ"
"Gather the herbs I need for my magic, elves. Rodrith came out of the bushes and whispered.
"And collecting herbs to cure my cough. β
"Little Ray!" Calamon was almost happy to pick him up. "You shouldn't go alone β it's dangerous. β
"I can't pass on any of my spell recipes," Rodrith said angrily, pushing his brother away. Leaning on the staff of Marzis, he walked beside Evan again.
Gilcenas looked at Robert, who could only shrug his shoulders and shake his head, as if he could not do anything.
The team continued on as the trail steeped and steepened until they left the aspen forest and entered the pine forest.
The trail joins a small stream, and the further south you go, the more turbulent the stream becomes.
They stopped to finish their lunch as quickly as possible, and Evan walked over and huddled around Robert. "Someone is following us,"
He kept his voice down, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear.
"What?" said Robert, looking up at the old man in disbelief.
"Yes," the old mage mage muttered to himself. "I saw itβin and out of the woods. β
Stone noticed Robert's worried look. "What's going on?"
"The old gentleman said that someone was following us. β
"Whoa!" Gilsenas dropped the last bite of his dry food and stood up disdainfully.
"That's an exaggeration. Let's go. Slamouri is still far away, and we have to get there before dark. β
"I'm in the rear," Stone whispered to Robert.
They trekked for several more hours through the low-hanging pine forests. The sun began to sink in the west, and everyone cast long shadows, and everyone suddenly came to a clearing.
"Shhhhhh
Calamon immediately sensed that something was wrong, drew his sword, and gestured to his brother and Stone with his other hand.
"What's wrong?" said Wade, jumping up and down. "I can't see it!"
"Shhhhh
It looks like a bloody battle has just taken place in this clearing. The corpses of humans and goblins lay on the ground. They looked around nervously and listened for a while, but heard nothing but the sound of the stream.
"There can't be an enemy within a few miles!" Stone looked at Girsenas angrily and began to walk into the clearing.
"Wait!" Robert said. "I think I saw something moving!"
"Maybe some of them are still alive," Stone walked forward calmly. The rest slowly followed. A groan came from under the two goblin corpses. The warriors approached cautiously, and the swords stretched out.
"Calamon ......," Robert gestured.
The stout warrior moved the corpse away. There's a human at the bottom.
"Human," Calamon returned. "There was blood all over the body. I guess he's passed out. β
The others approached and observed the man lying on the ground. Scarlet Moon begins to crouch down, but Calamon stops her.
"Wait a minute, ma'am," he said gently. "If we have to kill him later, there's no point in curing him now. Remember, there are humans fighting for dragoons in Willow. β
Everyone gathered in a circle and looked at the people on the ground. He wears handmade chain mail, which is of good quality, but a little weathered.
The material of his clothes is very high-quality, although it is a little worn in some places. He looked to be in his thirties, with thick and dark hair, a square chin and well-defined lines.
The stranger opened his eyes and looked at the group in confusion.
"Thank God the seekers!" he said hoarsely. "Are all my friends dead?"
"Worry about yourself first," Stone said with a gloomy face. "Tell us who your friend is, a human or a goblin?"
"Human, I'm fighting against the dragon army. The man sat up, his eyes wide open.
"Gilsenas?"
"Iban," Girsenas said unexpectedly. "How did you survive that bloody battle in the canyon?"
"What about you?" said the man named Iban, trying to get to his feet. Calamon held out a hand to hold him, and suddenly Iban pointed ahead. "Be careful! Dragonβ"
Karamon immediately turned around, and Iban fell to the ground in agony. The others turned to see twelve dragonmen standing in the clearing, each with their weapons unsheathed.
"All strangers who show up here must be brought in for questioning by the dragoon," shouted one of the dragonmen.
"We hope you don't make unnecessary resistance. β
"No one should know about this road to Slamory. Stone said to Robert, looking meaningfully at Gilcenas. "That's what the elf said!"
"We don't take orders from Fernan!" Robert shouted ignoring Stone.
"You'll be soon," the dragonman waved his hand, and the dragonmen began to rush forward to attack.
Evan stood at the edge of the woods, pulling something out of his bag, words in his mouth.
"Don't do fireballing!" Rodrith hissed as he grabbed his arm. "You're going to blow everyone up in the sky!"
"Oh, yes? I guess you're right. The old man sighed in disappointment. "Wait a minute, I have a new spell in mind. β
"Do me a favor, you just have to stay here and take cover!" Rodrith ordered.
"I'm going to my brother. β
"Well, what about spider webs?" thought the old man.
Lena drew her brand new sword, her emotions mixed with excitement and fear.
A dragonman rushed at her, and she swung a sword with a force that sent the dragonman 108,000 miles away, but almost cut off Calamon's head.
He pulled Lena behind him and knocked down the drake with the blade of his sword, smashing its throat before it could stand up.
"Hide behind me," he said to Lena, then looked at the dagger she still wielded. "Let me think about it again," Calamon said nervously, "and go over there in the woods to meet Crimson Moon and the old mage."
That's good. β
"I don't want it!" said Lina, unyielding. "I'll let him know," she murmured, her sweaty hand gripping the hilt of her sword.
Two more dragonmen rushed towards Calamun, but by now his brother had already come to his side, their magic and sword skills working together perfectly, ready to destroy the enemy.
Lena knew she was only getting in the way, and she was even more worried about Rodrith getting angry. She looked around. See if anyone needs her help.
Stone and Robert fought side by side. Gilthenus and Hubble formed a ridiculous pairing, with Wade sticking Houpak's staff firmly into the ground and raining down stone rain on the battlefield.
Crimson Moon stood under the tree, with the old mage, and River Wind by her side. The old mage took out a magic book and kept turning the pages.
"Cobweb...... Cobweb...... How?" he muttered.
"Ahhh Lena spun around and accidentally dropped her sword, only to see a dragonman roaring at her. Lena was so nervous that she grabbed the shield with both hands and struck the draconian in the face.
The impact nearly knocked Lena's shield out of her hands, but it also left the draconian on the ground unable to get up.
Lena picked up her sword and stabbed it in disgust at the dragonman's heart. Its corpse quickly turned to stone, jamming her dagger.
Lena tried to pull the weapon out, but it was stuck tightly in the stone.
"Lena, your left!" Wade shouted exaggeratedly.
Lena staggered around and saw another dragonman. She brandished her shield to block its attacks, and began to use her shield to frantically pound at the monster in front of her.
Again and again, she knew she had killed the monster, but she couldn't help but keep going until she realized that someone had grabbed her hand.
She turned, raised her blood-stained shield, and saw Calamon.
"It's all right!" the stout warrior comforted her. "It's over Lena. They are all dead. You're doing a great job β really. β
Lena blinked. For a moment she didn't recognize the person in front of her. Then she shuddered and lowered her shield.
"My sword isn't used well," she said, beginning to tremble at the terrifying sight of the dragonmen rushing at her.
Calamon saw her trembling figure, and he reached out to hug her, stroking his sweat-soaked red curls.
You're braver than many men I've seen, a group of experienced warriors. Dahan said in a deep voice.
Lena looked up into Calamon's eyes. Her fear subsided, replaced by joy. She hugged Calamon tightly. Feeling his strong muscles, the smell of sweat mixed with leather excites her even more.
Lena wrapped her arms around him and kissed him so hard that her passionate kiss bit Calamon's lips. She felt the taste of blood in her mouth.
Calamon was surprised to feel the tingling of her lips, a strange contrast to her soft lips, and her heart was filled with excitement. Although he had a lot of experience before, he wanted the woman in front of him, but this time was different.
He had forgotten where he was and who was next to him. His brain and blood were boiling, and he followed the impulse, hugging Lena with a suffocating force and kissing her passionately.
His hug was sweet to Lena. She longed to let the pain envelop her, but at the same time, she suddenly felt scared. Remembering what the other waitresses had said about men and women, she began to panic.
Calamon completely lost his sense of direction. He picked Lena up, and had a crazy idea in his head to carry her directly into the woods, but he felt a cold, familiar hand on his shoulder.
Dahan looked back and saw his younger brother, gasping for air, understanding what he meant. He gently put Lena down.
She opened her eyes groggily and saw Rodrith standing beside her brother, looking at him with his strange eyes.
Lena felt her cheeks burn. She stepped back, stepped over the corpses of the dragonmen on the ground, picked up her shield, and began to run.
Calamon swallowed, clearing his throat and trying to say something, but Rodrith just looked at him in disgust and walked back to Aven.
Calamon trembled like a wounded creature and sighed as he walked over to the place where Stone, Robert, and Gilcenas were talking to Iban.
"It's okay, I'm fine. The man assured them. "I just feel a little dizzy when I see these monsters.
You're really walking with a priest? great, but there's no need to waste her mana on me, it's just a bruise.
Most of it is other people's blood. My companion and I were chasing this group of dragonmen, when we were suddenly attacked by more than forty goblins. β
"Only you survived. Gircenas said. "Yes," Iban replied to the elf's skeptical gaze.
"As you know, I'm a skilled swordsman. I'll kill these," he said, gesturing to the six goblin corpses around him, "and then fell because of their overwhelming numbers.
Others must have thought I was dead before leaving. Enough talk about my heroic deeds. You guys seem to be pretty good at fighting. Where are you going?"
"One called Slavβ" Karamon began, interrupted by Gilsenas.
"Our destination is a secret," Gireenas said. Then he asked tentatively. "At the same time, we need a skilled swordsman. β
"As long as you fight the dragonmen, I will definitely help," Iban said excitedly. [.]
