Chapter Ninety-One: Francis
In the middle of the mountains, a long and narrow plain, a majestic castle stands on the way into the plain. It's like a gate, stuck in this throat.
Outside a baron's mansion in Siegburg, a young man staggered inside with a jar of wine in his hand.
The two guards guarding the door showed a trace of sorrow when they saw the man's expression, but they did not step forward to make any senseless moves.
"Drinking、Only by drinking can you be carefree." The man stumbled as he walked, picked up the jar and poured it in a big gulp.
Looking up at the sky, a mocking smile appeared on the corner of his mouth: "Francis, Francis, you idiot, you are destined to be bullied for nothing."
"Fight, fight, the more intense you fight, the better. Just give me a jar of wine, and you can fight as much as you like." Francis said this, and took two more puffs.
Stretched out his hand and wiped the corners of his mouth indiscriminately, and suddenly laughed wildly, his face seemed to be crazy: "Father, my abominable father, you died a wonderful, wonderful."
"Hahaha......". Francis looked up to the sky and laughed wildly, and threw the jar in his hand to the ground.
"Bang ......". Drinks were scattered all over the place.
The sound of the wine jar breaking made Francis stumble: "Drink, drink, while our Sigur family has not perished, get drunk happily."
With that, he burped and walked slowly forward with his stumbling steps.
The two guards guarding the door couldn't help but be silent for a while, and then quickly lowered their heads to show respect.
Just then, footsteps were heard, and a man shouted at Francis, who was stumbling, "Baron, please stay."
"You are ?......". Francis turned to look at the man, a double look in his eyes, and asked him.
The man saluted respectfully: "Kotch County and Ayrshire sent troops to Fort Gutun at the same time, so Lord Viscount has reconciled with Baron Alden, and returned as early as last night to guard my Fort Sieg."
"My big brother is back?". Francis said subconsciously, and the smell of alcohol came to his face.
The corners of the man's mouth flashed with a hint of disgust, but because of the difference in the identities of the two parties, he could only bury this disgust: "Exactly."
"The villain is here to summon the officials of the city and the baron to discuss government affairs on the orders of the viscount." The man pretended to be respectful and said to Francis.
As if he hadn't heard, Francis turned and staggered inside.
"Baron, this is the Viscount's order. Please go and discuss government affairs." The man pretended to be anxious and said to Francis.
Francis burped again: "Wine, I'm going to drink, what the hell is going to deal with government affairs, where is it good to drink".
Looking at Francis as he walked inside, the man's heart filled with pity, and his eyes inadvertently looked at the broken jar of wine on the ground. Nodding his head quietly, several figures appeared in the surrounding crowd, and then they all withdrew.
After seeing the figures evacuate, the man looked around and walked in the direction he had turned.
Just as the man and the men had left, Francis staggered to the door. A fine light flashed in his eyes.
"Ridiculous, ridiculous". Francis said his crazy words and sat down on the ground.
It's a pity that his eldest brother and second brother, the two stupid people, actually fought each other regardless of the tigers outside, and it seems that the Siger family is finished.
A figure appeared in front of him, and the two guards guarding the door suddenly shouted: "Stop, this is the mansion of the Baron, do not trespass."
"Don't you know me Jonah, Buddy?" The figure approached and removed the hat from his head.
When the two guards saw the appearance of the visitor, a smile appeared on the corner of their mouths: "It turned out to be Carl."
"Is the Baron there?". Carl had already arrived here, but he saw suspicious people around him, so he didn't immediately step forward.
Jonah, who was standing on the left, nodded slowly: "The Baron is inside".
"It's just that after the death of Lord Viscount, the Baron is in a bad mood, I hope Carl you can help us comfort." Jonah said to Karl.
Buddy, who was standing on the right, moved his lips: "Carl, didn't you go to Ayrshire for business, why did you come back so soon?"
"I heard that the viscount had died, so I hurried back." Carl explained to Buddy.
Jonah remembered Francis' grief and urged Carl, "Come in."
Karl heard the urging, but didn't say anything more, and stepped inside.
"Didn't I say? Don't go, don't go anywhere, I'm going to drink, drink." Francis exclaimed, dejected.
Looking at Francis, who was pretending to be crazy and stupid, Carl couldn't help laughing: "I wonder how much wine the baron wants to drink?".
"One altar, no, two altars, no ......". Francis said, burping again, and forced to stop what was going on.
Seeing Francis talking to himself, Karl laughed: "Baron, how about I give you all the wine in the whole Siegburg?"
"What? all". Francis suddenly shuddered, and the drunkenness in his eyes disappeared.
Karl had a smile on his face: "The baron is really a good means, I can't imagine that this wise man is perfect for self-preservation."
"You lied to me?". There was a look of displeasure in Francis's eyes.
Then he took a deep breath and felt a wave of hatred: "What are you doing at this time? Aren't you supposed to be in Ayrshire, comfortably watching my Sig family perish?".
"Perish, what good will it do me to perish the Sigur family?". Karl asked rhetorically at Francis.
Francis didn't reply, and strode towards the kiosk in front of him.
Seeing Francis walking towards the kiosk, Carl followed without thinking.
The two sat in the small pavilion, and Francis thrust the corner of his eye hard: "Carl, you are my friend, or Carl of Ayrshire." Our friendship is not real".
"Naturally, it's true, no matter what happens in the end, I will do my best to keep the Baron safe." Carl spoke slowly to Francis, his tone very firm.
Francis was silent for a while: "I need to see you in action".
"What do you think this is?". Carl took out a piece of parchment and handed it to Francis.
Francis spread it out, and his heart trembled: "This road from the mountains has been carved out by you?"
"Yes". Karl nodded slowly.
Look around: "Baron and Charlie have already led an army to Sidon Pass, how to choose depends on how you decide."
"Do I have a choice? This mountain trail has been dug out by you, and with the speed of the army, I am afraid that it will soon be able to directly reach the Sidon Pass." Francis said to Carl with a desolation in his heart.
Karl turned to Francis and asked, "Even without this path, would the Seeger family still have Fort Gutun and Fort Sieg in the current situation?"
"Besides, neither your deceased father nor your two brothers have the same attitude towards you. After all, your mother was a maid, and the birth of you was only a stain on their Sigur family." Carl looked at Francis with a look of pity in his eyes.
