Chapter 343: Finding the River
At that time, the entire elven kingdom was in ruins, and after the elven king returned, wasn't it all restored to its original state. In many places, Wells and Suri later found prototypes of the previous ruins, and the results were well recovered.
All the places they had seen in the ruins, they had seen the prototype after the Elven Kingdom had been restored, except for the river that had dried up.
It stands to reason that the river is the most conspicuous, and they should be able to see it when they have entered the elven realm, but as a result, let alone the river, it is the traces of the dry river, they have not seen it.
"Yes, how did I forget this, we were in the ruins of the Elven Kingdom, but we saw a big river. Although the river had dried up at that time, we should be able to see it here, why was it gone?"
They did see the dry river in the ruins, but why can't they see it now?
"I think the river should still be there, but I don't know how it was used to make people not see. Mante, do you remember where the river was?" Wells asked.
The river they saw at that time surrounded almost the entire elven kingdom. Later, after the elven kingdom was restored, although the appearance did not change, the terrain had changed subtly.
Wells only vaguely remembered that the river should be near them, and that it should be wide.
"I don't remember exactly, we can't find the river, we can find another source of water, it doesn't have to be that river to get to the prison. Mante said disapprehantly.
"No, I think that river should be the place to go to the dungeon. Wells said with great certainty.
After the restoration here, the rest did not change, except for this river, so, whether the river had anything to do with the prison or not, Wells found the river suspicious.
Fortunately, there were not many elves outside at this time, as long as they could stay away from the working elves they had just seen, they didn't have to worry too much about being discovered.
Wells took Mante with him, and made a great circle there, but the river was not found. They walked almost all along the periphery of the elven kingdom, but still found nothing.
Looking at the flat perimeter of the border, it seems that there is no river at all.
"Strange, what's going on?" Wells was really a little confused by what was in front of him.
He remembered that the river was in this place, but they went around the whole circle and found nothing.
The river was so large and deep that there was little chance of filling it up.
And even if it is filled, there will be traces on the ground, after all, they have not been back for a long time. But the green grass that grew on the ground convinced them that this was the way it used to be, and not that it had been filled in later.
The two people, who had not found anything outside, focused their attention on the interior of the elven kingdom. Previously, they were worried that they would encounter elves inside, and it would be difficult for them to escape once they were discovered.
Now that they found nothing outside, they had to look inside.
Wells walked ahead, letting Mante follow, and the two of them quietly entered the main hall of the Elven Kingdom.
It was empty, and the two of them made their way through the hall at a rapid pace, and came to a long hallway.
There seem to be a lot of these corridors here, and if you are not familiar with the situation here, it is easy to get lost.
Every now and then a door appears in the long hallway, and I don't know what's inside that door. Later, after walking for a long time, they realized that they were just circling the corridor, so Wells decided to open a side and go inside.
It's fine if it's an empty room, but if the room they open is an elf's room, wouldn't it be a self-defeating trap.
Wells told Mante to stay outside, and waited until he was sure that it was safe inside, and then let Mante in.
Wells was light on his hands and feet, and sure he wouldn't make any noise, but Mante couldn't. So, when Mante heard that Wells had let him stay outside, he was still very happy.
Wells' movements were so light that even if there were elves inside, they wouldn't know anyone had come in.
When he entered the room, the sight in front of him shocked Wells.
This is not an elf's room, and as soon as you enter this room, the lights are bright, so that Wells, who has always been in the dark, is not used to the light inside.
There was nothing in the room but a bright light, not even a chair, it was empty.
"Strange, why is this room empty, and where does this light come from?" Wells looked at every corner of the room in amazement. Since there was nothing here, and Wells saw no torches or lamps, where did the light come from?
Wells cautiously walked into the room, reaching for his hand on the wall to inspect it.
The whole room was empty, and the light here could only come from the walls. Wells, however, reached out and groped for most of the day, but did not see anything unusual about the wall.
This is just an ordinary wall, and it looks a little pale when illuminated by this light, as if it has been dyed with a halo.
Is it because of the earth?
Since it's not a matter of the walls, then only the ground remains.
Thinking of this, Wells quickly squatted down and reached out to touch the ground.
What's going on?
I saw Wells' hand wipe on the ground, and his hand entered the ground.
It turned out that the ground was not real, but a visual effect.
The ground, as seen by Wells' eyes, is actually non-existent. With this discovery, Wells felt that the ground was most likely the missing river.
Mante, who was waiting outside, heard Wells calling him, so he hurried in.
"Wells, Wells, people?" Mante walked in, and found that the empty room was full of light, but Wells was nowhere to be seen.
"I'm here. Wells whispered.
Mante felt that someone was pulling his foot hard, and if he hadn't looked down and saw Wells's face, he would have been so frightened that he wanted to kick the guy who pulled his foot away.
"Wells, what's wrong with you?" saw Wells leave one head outside, and the rest of his entire body was buried in the ground. Frightened, Mante thought that he had been buried alive by the elves, and hurriedly looked around, but he didn't find a shadow of an elf.
