Chapter 363: Eight Eyes
As soon as the stone-shell spider, perhaps the stone-shell crab turned over, it waved its two pincers and attacked the surrounding buildings wantonly.
The nearest two-story building, in the first collision of the giant claws, appeared in the wall of a large hole, and in the next few impacts, it staggered and collapsed in half. You know, this is hewn out of a single stone, and it is many times stronger than the houses on the ground that are made of masonry and wood!
There were a few goblins hiding on the first floor of the building, several buried by the collapsed earth and rock, and the remaining survivors, including Lukka and Ollie, were rolling and crawling out of the hole that had been knocked out, completely oblivious to the damage and waving the claws above them.
Thankfully, the Stoneshell Spider didn't dwell on these dwarf targets, and continued to vent its anger at the stone building on the other side of the street, striking at the sturdiest stone pillar in the middle of the building.
In the dust and rubble, Lukka and Ollie rushed out a dozen meters away, crouched down behind another building, gasping for air.
In addition to the sound of the rock crashing, the most around now was the cries and screams of goblins, more than half of the mine guards, including their squad leader, were all buried under the collapsed building, and the rest were all recruits, undecided in rescuing their comrades and evacuating residents, just scurrying around in place.
In the midst of all this noise, suddenly there was a sound of "Help!"
The screaming goblin civilians basically shouted these two words, but the volume of this "help" was different, not only overpowering the surrounding cries, but even covering the sound of the stone-shelled spider smashing rocks.
Lukka looked in the direction of the sound, and in the half-collapsed building, a small cart had fallen diagonally to the ground, and the grilled lizard skewers stuck on it were scattered all over the ground. Both the car and the kebab Luca have an impression that it happens to be the kebab stall where he had a full meal not long ago.
Underneath the car, a goblin was desperately tugging at the handle that was lying across the ground with one hand, as if it was not like giving up the valuable property. His other hand, holding a megaphone, should have been dropped by the leader of the mine protection team buried under the stone, and shouted for help in front of him.
"When is it, you still don't let go of your car!" shouted a goblin next to him, this goblin Luca was no stranger, he had recently bought a few bottles of unsalted water from his stall, and he had been given several blank looks.
The goblins who sell drinks don't have a megaphone in their hands, but the voice they have practiced all year round is really extraordinary, and the kebab stall owner actually listens to the meaning in the noise made by the stone shell spider.
"It's not that I won't let it go, my leg is stuck!" cried the kebab stall owner. Several pieces of rubble were thrown out by the stone-shelled spider and smashed beside him, and his cries were even louder.
When Lukka looked closely, the frame of the cart had been broken, and the front beam was skewed to the ground, forming a very small angle to the axle, and the kebab stall owner was probably struggling in the confusion, but unexpectedly his foot was stuck in it.
The stall owner hesitated to save his friend, but his legs refused to obey him, and he couldn't take a single step in his trembling trembling.
The Stone-Shell Spider destroyed the rocks in front of him, shook the giant claw, and turned around to face the collapsed building again. For the first time, Lukka saw that the creature had two small black eyes on its head, not two small black eyes like a crab, but a circle of eight eyes at the top of the body, which could barely be called a head.
It also has a field of view of about 360 degrees, with six smaller eyes for detecting the surrounding image, and two slightly larger eyes in the front for detail.
The Stoneshell Spider also seemed to be attracted by the skewer stall owner's cries for help, and its eight legs crackled and moved, quickly returning to the abandoned building it had abandoned and holding up a giant claw.
This time, the beverage stall owner didn't even dare to come out of the atmosphere, let alone move the nest.
"Ollie, I'll admit I'm wrong, it's really spiders, not crabs. Lukka said, clenching his staff in his right hand, ready to strike.
But there was no response from Ollie.
Before Lukka could react, Ollie had already scurried out, and all he saw was a green figure speeding forward, straight under the claws of the Stone-Shelled Spider's falling.
With a "bell", pincers harder than a rock slammed into the ground where the cart had toppled.
There was a "buzz" in Lukka's head, his movements were not as fast as Ollie's, and of course he couldn't be blamed for that, no mage would add points to agility. But this time, he didn't even have time to cast a spell!
"It's okay, we're okay!" The next second, Ollie's voice pierced through the flying dust.
The dust had fallen slightly, and Lukka could see that Ollie grabbed the kebab stall owner by the collar and dragged him back with the cart for a full four or five meters, just enough to avoid the claws that had fallen head-on, and hid in the still intact corner of the building, surrounded by two stone walls, and with half of the ceiling above his head.
The kebab stall owner's green face turned pale, and he raised his hand to wipe his sweat and tried to pull his leg out of the wreckage of the cart, but failed again.
Ollie looked up alertly, there was now a ceiling above her, and the rocks thrown out by the Stoneshell Spider would not be harmful, but she guessed that the strange creature probably wouldn't stop there.
She drew her dagger-sized greatsword and slashed at the cart, freeing his leg from the terrified screams of the kebab stall owner without hurting a single hair.
"Let's go!" Ollie pulled the kebab stall owner up from the ground, watched him struggle, grabbed him by the collar again, and threw his entire goblin backwards through the hole in the wall.
But Ollie herself didn't have time to move.
The giant claw of the stone-shelled spider slammed down on the side of the building's exterior wall, completely blocking the route Ollie had left. Then, its other pincers were raised in the air, and with such force it was likely to smash Ollie and the ceiling above her head.
In fact, with Ollie's skills, it may not be impossible to harden with a giant sword, but that needs to be in her normal form.
Now, she looks like a goblin who is less than a meter tall, and her physical skills have weakened a lot, even if her strength is still much greater than that of ordinary goblins, and it is really impossible to take this blow with a dagger-sized giant sword.
It is not possible to change back to its original size, and in such a small architectural space, it cannot accommodate the human body.
Ollie wasn't flustered.
There's Lukka out there, she thought.
