Chapter 1: Exile

Richard felt pain all over his body, as if he had been tied hand and foot, dragging his horse and rolling around.

Opening his eyes in a daze, he couldn't help but moan, and when he wanted to sit up, he felt that his arms were soft into mud, and he didn't listen to the call at all. After several deep breaths, Richard felt the strength of his body surging a little, and the ghostly bed-like feeling of powerlessness finally disappeared.

After he became conscious, Richard felt a bump under him. Reaching out for it, it was damp and rough, and the sand-like texture rubbed his hand painfully.

When his eyes gradually adjusted to the light around him, he was still lying on the ground, and moved the thing he was holding in his hand. Richard sat up with a spirit.

It's really a handful of sand mixed with fine pebbles!

Looking back, Richard's mouth was wide open and he could swallow an entire apple, and he couldn't close it for a long time. He was actually in a black and white river, covered with all kinds of pebbles and shells. The sound of the water is choppy, and a long meandering river flows from the left, sailing into the distance, and only the shadows of the mountains overlap.

A faint salty wind rose from the nearby lush forest and brushed his handsome face. His nostrils constricted, but Richard saw the coconut trees in the surrounding woods, and the tropical plants with huge leaves. When he heard the call of gulls and birds in the sky, he felt like he had a dream.

What's going on?

Richard frowned, trying to remember what had happened, but his memory stayed on the moment of the knighthood. Suddenly, a wonderful, nightingale-like voice activated his mind like an electric shock.

"Be careful, there's a problem here......"

Richard closed his eyes, his expression gloomy and terrifying.

It wasn't until his throat was so dry that it seemed like it was on fire, that Richard leaned down to the river and fetched water with his hands. He was very absent-minded.

But when he drew water, through the ripples, Richard saw an unfamiliar face.

"What the hell is going on......"

Richard touched his face like crazy.

The reflection in the water is by no means what he is.

Am I supposed to be dead? By the way, there was a dark shadow coming at me? He wouldn't kill me, so I crossed over again, and now I have another person?

Richard suddenly took off his unfamiliar clothes.

Stroking his round belly and fat back with fat, he silently exerted himself, but he experienced the numbness of electric shock when he was magical.

At this time, a "fat" fell on the river beach, and his well-defined tendons and flesh were re-exposed to the air.

Looking at the pigskin-like thing on the ground, with three books, a dagger, and the noble badge that symbolized his status, Richard gasped.

The dehaired pigskin-like thing on the ground, which was given to him by Diana, seemed to be called pseudo-armor. It uses a dragon-like skin that can be disguised in many guises, and can also be used as a pocket.

Just in case, Richard raised his hand again.

It was like an electric shock again, and a small whirlwind appeared in the palm of his hand, and then turned into a human shape with all five features. This is his natural magic, the Giant of the Wind.

I didn't die, I was just caught and put on a different face. Richard figured it out.

Looking at the surrounding river beach and the strange clothes on the ground, he estimated that there were still twists and turns behind him, and he was abandoned here.

After a few sips of water, Richard's face was gloomy.

There is no doubt that he is still the same Richard. Half a year ago, I traveled to this world called Roland. At that time, he was still in the West Roland continent, a place called the Golden Corridor, an unknown little mercenary in the famous wilderness city of Campas.

Two months ago, he used the black box method to study the mystery of the sacrifice, summoning two imprisoned gods. But being deceived by one of them, four ancient heroines were resurrected. And suffered from the "curse of the god seed", and has the ability to control all the creations of the god, so it has become the target of others.

Then it was to escape, to participate in that hunt, and to use his wits to subdue a shark contaminated by elemental power, and he became an earl as a result.

Holding the small, dark silver metal carved from unknown dark silver metal on the ground, Richard sighed faintly. Unexpectedly, his fate was unlucky, and he was attacked on the day of his knighthood and was exiled to this place.

Richard scratched his face hard.

Originally, he hadn't felt anything unusual, but after discovering that it was not his face, he felt a tingling itch, as if his original face was covered with a thick mask.

Feeling a little calmer, Richard looked around.

It was an inaccessible place, full of tall trees, rugged ground, many of the jagged rocks covered with moss, clumps of mushrooms growing in the cracks of the stones, and low bushes making a haven for birds......

The only thing he knew for sure was that this side must be close to the sea.

Richard was even more frustrated.

Just then, a gust of wind swept across his face.

As soon as Richard's nose contracted, he suddenly smelled a strange smell hidden in the wind, a special smell that belonged to large animals.

Looking towards the wind, he noticed the faint sound of footsteps in the woods.

The footsteps are getting louder and louder.

By the time the shadow emerged from behind a few thick palm plants, Richard was already in a cold sweat.

It's actually a bear.

With a bold step, stepping on the bushes in front of him, one by one, the brown bear appeared on the edge of the forest, near the open area of the river beach.

The golden sun shines on its shiny fur.

The armor-like things on the bear's body flickered and shone brightly.

Richard was frightened and took a few steps back.

This bear, which can weigh several tons, gives him a strange feeling everywhere in his body.

Its blood-red pupils, its huge, somewhat terrifyingly burly body, and its metal armor covered with spikes that revealed a faint cold light......

Especially those armors.

Richard looked at the structure of the armor and felt that it was rooted in the flesh and blood of a bear, rather than put on it. These silver-gray metals, like the exoskeleton of insects, are one with the giant bear.

"What the hell is going on?" Richard was dumbfounded, he didn't know what this "bear with metal armor on it" was.

Suddenly, Richard glanced at the three books on the ground.

One of the books was called "The Complete Solution to Alchemy", and one of the contents flashed into his mind.

"Centuries ago, the magicians of Edo empathized with the use of alchemy to modify animals, naturally with the aim of crafting terrible weapons of war. Among the many creations, a magical animal called the Storm Bear is the most terrifying. They are several times larger than the average bear, with blood-red pupils, and magical metal that blends in with the flesh and is rooted in the flesh. These metals resemble the shape of armor, but they can be twisted and deformed, turning into sharp blades and spikes......"

As Richard stepped back, the Stormed Bear was already staring at him, its long snout suddenly opening, revealing its long, snow-white canine teeth and making a terrible whimper.

It stared at Richard viciously.

Richard was startled by its gaze and suddenly thought of the last record.

"Tyranny-armored bears have a ferocious temperament that even the magicians who gave birth to them are deeply feared. The general purpose of this is to be stocked in the jungle around the Magic Tower, as an additional trap. Two hundred years ago, the Storm Bear was no longer favored by magicians, but this magical beast has a long lifespan. Near parts of the Silver Coast in Edo, there are still occasional bears, tyrants of the coast, and especially misanthropic of humans. As sheep hate wolves, and hate their Creator......"
