Chapter 35: The Old Summer Palace
The Old Summer Palace, also known as the Three Gardens of the Old Ming Palace, is a large royal palace in the Qing Dynasty, it is located in the western suburbs of BJ, adjacent to the Summer Palace, composed of the Old Summer Palace, the Changchun Garden and the Wanchun Garden, so it is also called the Three Gardens of the Old Ming Palace. In addition, there are many small gardens, distributed on the east, west and south sides, surrounded by stars and moons.
The area of the park is more than 340 hectares, with a construction area of 200,000 square meters and more than 150 scenes. The Qing Emperor came here every midsummer to escape the summer, listen to the government, and deal with military and political affairs, so it was also called the "summer palace".
The Old Summer Palace was mainly built in the last years of the Kangxi Dynasty and the Yongzheng Dynasty, in the forty-eighth year of the Kangxi Reign (1709), the Kangxi Emperor gave a garden in the north of Changchun Garden in the northwest suburbs of BJ to the fourth son, Aixin Jueluo Yinzhen.
"Old Summer Palace", this name was named by Emperor Kangxi. The three-character plaque of Emperor Kangxi's imperial book is hung above the door of the Old Ming Palace. There is an explanation for this "Yuanming" Yongzheng Emperor, saying that the meaning of the word "Yuanming" is: round and into the gods, the time of the gentleman is also; "Yuan" refers to the perfection of personal morality and surpasses ordinary people; "Ming" refers to the political achievements that shine brightly and are perfect and wise. This can be said to be the ideal standard for the ruling class in the feudal era to flaunt the virtuous and virtuous appearance.
In the second year of Yongzheng (1724), the expansion project of the Old Summer Palace officially began. In the first month of this year, Emperor Yongzheng allowed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to send personnel to the area of the Rehe enclosure to cut down trees. Since then, most of the timber used in the construction of Van Tai Nei, West Garden and Three Hills and Five Gardens has come from the paddock. In July of the third year of Yongzheng (1725), the Ministry of Internal Affairs again appointed merchants to purchase the stones needed for the Old Summer Palace in Changsheng. Emperor Yongzheng had Zhu Zhuyun: "If there is a slight delay in preparing the stone for Changsheng, he will be convicted." It can be seen that he is in a hurry to build the garden.
The expansion project of the Old Summer Palace during the Yongzheng period generally includes three parts: the first part, extending the central axis to the south, building a palace area in the south of the garden, strictly following the symmetrical form of the central axis of the Forbidden City, including the newly opened Grand Palace Gate, as well as the left and right outer court rooms and the duty rooms of the cabinet and the yamen, which later became the main building complex of the emperor's administration in the Old Summer Palace.
In the second part, the original garden was expanded to the north, east and west, and the Qushui Island was constructed, and pavilions and pavilions were added, which constituted the main body of the "Forty Scenes" of the later Qianlong Emperor's imperial title (at least 33 of which were completed during the reign of Yongzheng).
The third part is the construction of Fuhai and the surrounding building groups.
After the expansion, the Old Summer Palace covers an area of about 3,000 acres. In each scenic area, there are not only solemn and magnificent palaces, but also pavilions and corridors that make people feel relaxed and dexterous, and rockeries, lakes and winding rivers are dotted among them. In the Yongzheng period, the pattern of the Old Summer Palace was basically completed.
After Emperor Qianlong succeeded to the throne, he adjusted the landscape of the garden in the Old Summer Palace, added building groups, and built Changchun Garden and Qichun Garden (renamed Wanchun Garden in the Tongzhi period) in the east and southeast neighbors of the Old Summer Palace. These three gardens are all under the management of the Minister of the Old Summer Palace, called the Three Gardens of the Old Summer Palace.
In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, there were many additions and renovations in the park. The main garden scenery group of the garden, there are the famous "Forty Views of the Old Summer Palace", as well as Zibi Mountain House, Algae Garden, Ruofan Pavilion, Wenyuan Pavilion and so on. At that time, there were about 600 main garden buildings hanging plaques, which was the crown of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign royal gardens.
The pattern of the Three Yuanming Gardens was basically formed. In the Jiaqing Dynasty, the Qichun Garden was mainly repaired and expanded, making it one of the main garden places. During the reign of Emperor Daoguang, the state affairs were declining day by day, and the financial resources were insufficient, but he would rather withdraw the furnishings of the "three mountains" of Wanshou, Xiangshan and Yuquan, and do not give up the reconstruction and decoration of the Three Gardens of the Old Ming Dynasty.
In 1860, the British and French troops sacked the Old Summer Palace, the cultural relics were looted, and the Tongzhi Emperor wanted to restore it, but due to financial difficulties, he was forced to stop and rebuild other buildings. After the Eight-Nation Alliance, it was attacked by bandits and finally turned into a ruin.
The Old Summer Palace, founded and operated by the Qing Dynasty for more than 150 years, has been famous for its grand regional scale, outstanding construction skills, exquisite architectural scenery, rich cultural collection and profound national cultural connotation, and is known as "the model of all gardening arts", and is praised as "the model of ideals and art" by the French writer Victor Hugo.
However, when you look at the ruins and ruins of the ground, and think about the garden of nations in the past, how ironic it is that there is such a stark difference.
More than half of the treasures in the Old Summer Palace were looted and destroyed by the Eight-Power Alliance, and the remaining half were taken away by the Chinese themselves.
Thinking of this, we can't help but think from the bottom of our hearts.
Stretched out his hand and took out the map, compared the current map of the Old Summer Palace ruins, and found ......
Looking at the comparison chart in his hand, Lin Yi couldn't help but drip a drop of cold sweat on his forehead, "Damn, what the hell is this?"
Looking at the route drawn on the treasure map, which palace to enter, where to turn, etc., Lin Yi wanted to fucking vomit on him. Damn, the current Old Summer Palace has been destroyed, and now who knows where it is, how do I know how to do it.
Thinking about tearing off the map in his hand, he stretched out his hand, Lin Yi took a deep breath, but still put his hand down and didn't tear it.
Lin Yi's face was a little pale, after all, he encountered this situation in the first treasure hunt, and the whole person was very unhappy, and gritted his teeth and said, "Damn, do you think that if the map is drawn like this, I won't be able to find anything, tell you, master, I am open." ”
After speaking, he walked towards the Old Summer Palace among the three gardens.
After all, according to the map, it was in an ordinary cellar in the Old Summer Palace.
"It's a big deal, I'll look all over the map, I don't believe you can still hide two hundred meters, hmph, as long as you're still underground, I'll definitely find you." ”
Lin Yi said in a low voice.
However, to open the treasure hunting eye and perspective eye, there is still some interference in the treasure hunt in such a place, after all, the remaining ruins and ruins here also have some history, plus there are some fragments underground from time to time, which affects the search very much. It takes a lot of people's minds.
I don't know why, for the sake of treasure hunting, the aperture is not the time of its material, but the time when it was made.
Just like these leftover stones, they are only one or two hundred years old, so it is very influential.
In this way, about every half an hour, Lin Yi had to stop and rest, otherwise this spiritual power would be consumed.
Lin Yi once tried the feeling of running out of spiritual power. That feeling is that the physical strength is exhausted, there is no strength in the body, and the body feels hollowed out.
That time, Lin Yi lay down for more than half an hour, and then regained some of his strength, and then drank a little spiritual liquid before recovering, and since then, Lin Yi has secretly decided that he will never consume his spiritual power in the future. After all, it was a terrible feeling.
I walked for two hours and didn't find anything, but I found two underground storage rooms halfway through, but there was nothing in them, and there was no meaning.
Buzz
"Hey, fat man, what's the matter?" Lin Yi saw that it was Wang Kai calling, so he took it directly.
"Xiao Yizi, why don't you call me when you come to BJ. Wang Kai's voice came from the other side of the phone, but the voice seemed a little, well, complaining??
As soon as Lin Yi heard this, he chuckled and said, "Well, don't you live in your house at night anyway, what are you anxious about, won't you know it at night." ”
"I can't say that. ”
"Okay, okay, I'll go back in a minute. Please have something delicious tonight. ”
"Okay, come back and talk about it, but ah, what are you covering it up for, are you dating which little cutie are you dating?" Wang Kai's voice came from his ears, but how could this voice sound so cheap.
So, Lin Yi roared angrily, "Get out." ”
I hung up the phone with a snap.
Seeing that there was still such a big place left, Lin Yi sighed yes, let's continue to look for it.
"Huh," Suddenly, a long passage appeared in Lin Yi's eyes, the passage was quite long, but most of it was outside the line of sight. The entire passage is inclined and slowly extends underground, but most of the passage has collapsed and been buried by sand and gravel.
