The setting of the book, and the general idea of the book
Thank you for seeing here.
The reason why I wanted to write this book was that one day I saw a series of videos about the Cthulhu Mythos by a certain up master on Station B, and suddenly realized that the Cthulhu Mythos is actually divided into two branches.
The largest audience is "Earth Cthulhu Mythos", which is essentially "Cthulhu horror novels", mainly because many foreign Cthulhu fiction writers write stories that take place on Earth.
The tone of this branch is that "humanity is too small to overcome the old rulers and will perish." ”
The other branch is the "Cosmic Cthulhu Mythos", which originates from the original Cthulhu writer - Lovecraft, but the "Earth Cthulhu Mythos" is more popular, and it is easy to ignore this field set by the original creator.
What's more interesting about this branch is, "The Old Rulers were sealed and banished by the Old Gods, but where did the Old Gods go? And the Old Gods, the Old Gods have also disappeared." ”
I spent a few nights watching those videos, looking for a lot of Cthulhu materials, and finally decided to write a "Cthulhu-like fantasy novel", and it was a branch of the "Cosmic Cthulhu Mythos".
Of course, I'm not going to copy the Cthulhu Mythos because it's just too confusing and contradictory.
I will keep the parts that are interesting to domestic readers, remove those things that are not interesting, and then add the more popular elements of fantasy novels, so that the book becomes a fantasy novel as the main body, and then set into the framework of the Cthulhu Mythos.
Why was there so much pressure to write this book?
It's because the influence of the Cthulhu Mythos has become ubiquitous. The film and television dramas we are familiar with, including "The Lord of the Rings", Marvel movies, various American dramas, many Japanese anime, including many domestic anime, as long as the creator is under the age of forty or fifty, will more or less add Cthulhu Mythos elements to his works.
Because the Cthulhu Mythos has a very relevant theme:
- "The universe is so huge, we humans are so small, and in the depths of the stars beyond the earth, are there super-god species that we humans cannot understand? Could it be that the more we humans want to understand them and contact them, the easier it will be to be exterminated in advance?"
......
In terms of conceiving the power system setting, in order to conform to the flavor of the Cthulhu Mythos, it may be very different from the power system of many fantasy novels.
First of all, ordinary people can have terrifying extraordinary abilities in a short period of time, which is too different from most fantasy novels. A mortal can possess the supernatural powers of an old monster in the infancy stage overnight, and he does not need to cultivate or awaken any martial spirits, and it is himself, not taken away.
...... Of course, I'll do some restrictions, which are actually in line with Cthulhu's thinking. The first volume of this book actually revolves around this element, and all forces are grabbing this rare opportunity, which can also reflect the theme of "the protagonist dances with the demon god", and in the end, it must be the protagonist's shot......
Secondly, the core of the Cthulhu Mythos is "will", which is an indescribable concept. The will of the cultivator, the will of the universe, the will of the gods and demons.
After thinking about it carefully, I felt that the so-called "descendants of the old rulers" was not a blood inheritance, but a will inheritance.
So I used the setting of "Demon God Fetus" when making the setting, and it was responsible for the inheritance of the will of the Demon God Lord, to build a complete evil camp system of "Demon God Lord's Descendants".
Because the term "Old Dominator" is too awkward, I use "Demon God Lord" instead.
The "Hellden Dungeon" setting is also in line with the Cthulhu Mythos, reflecting the control of the private sphere by the old rulers, including their stupidity and blindness.
The demon spirits are equivalent to creatures that have been kept in captivity by the Demon God Lord, for them to devour when they wake up completely.
Because of the establishment of the line of "Will Inheritance", there are too many things to write about, no longer limited to the small circle of the Cthulhu Mythos, some settings of martial arts Xianxia can be moved over, and they can be perfectly integrated with Cthulhu.
Finally, considering that many people are writing Cthulhu fantasy novels, and later they all write them as "pseudo-wizard streams", maybe it is to avoid readers not being able to understand them, right?
I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I think it's better to try to find a solution from the "Cosmic Cthulhu Mythos". The follow-up plot will naturally know how to deal with it.
In short, it's definitely not a wizard stream, and this book is not a Western fantasy, and most of the protagonists are Chinese and Oriental.
In other settings, a lot of Cthulhu elements are deliberately used.
Including "Arkham Town", "Demon Spirit", "Demon God Violent Group", and various "special Demon Spirits", the subordinates of the Demon God, those psychic demons, evil slaves, ...... These are more in line with Cthulhu elements, and they are closer to other fantasy novels, which are easy for readers to understand.
......
When I started writing this book, I studied similar works and fire books that are more popular at the moment, and also borrowed some of their settings and plot ideas.
But I don't want to write exactly according to the current popular routines, these popular routines are nothing more than: the supporting role boss comes to the door, crosses the chat, shocks, worships the protagonist, immediately tries the baby given by the protagonist, wow, so powerful, and comes back to continue to worship the protagonist...... Then change to a supporting role and keep repeating this routine.
This kind of writing will definitely not be bad, because there are a large number of readers who will taste it. It's a pity that I don't like this kind of embarrassing routine, it's boring, and I quickly lose my passion when I write it like this, and if I don't have passion to write it, it's like writing in water, and the reader will run away.
There are actually a lot of ways to write cool texts, but it's hard to get ahead now, and you have to write relatively white to get ahead, especially for a newcomer author like me, don't even think about it. And even if I write according to this routine, it may not necessarily get results.
So I'm just going to let it go completely, and I can't get particularly good results anyway, so it's better to write it in another way, and treat it as an experimental novel.
Because it is a "Cthulhu-like fantasy novel", there will be a lot of emphasis on the "mysterious atmosphere", and some readers will mistake it for a horror novel or a detective novel, and it seems to be very brain-burning, but it is not.
If I write a horror novel, it means that I am too poor and must rely on horror elements to support it (I myself don't like to read horror novels).
can't write the mysterious atmosphere of the Cthulhu Mythos, can't combine the mysterious atmosphere with the plot well, and integrate it with the cool point, so that the mysterious atmosphere becomes very cool and cool in a blink of an eye, all of which means that this book is a failure and has no features.
Of course, the "mysterious atmosphere" of this book and the mysterious atmosphere of horror novels are completely different things, and readers only need to know that the mysterious atmosphere of this book is "interesting and fun" (not the kind of horror and brain-burning), and they will write it when they are full.
The follow-up plot is just like what is written in the introduction: the protagonist racks his brains to make himself a great demon god, but there is a group of people who secretly worship him and use his power to fight against the demon god lord and his heirs and various villains.
So the main plot is two lines, constantly intersecting, separating, and intersecting again. Every crossing is the motivation and upward growth of the protagonists and supporting characters.
I think this is actually a way of writing cool texts, the pursuit of fun, a sense of expectation for the growth of the supporting characters, and in turn, a sense of accomplishment for the protagonist.
I remember that the squid god said that the plot must be interesting to be interesting, and the elbow god has always emphasized that the content should be interesting.
What I understand is that "fun" naturally has a "sense of coolness", some people pursue blatant coolness, and some people don't. Just like appreciating that kind of forbidden image, some people only like to walk and watch, and some people also like to ride a horse to hunt and read all the flowers, and it doesn't matter if they are blind.

Thank you for your support!
The author is very new, and the writing is niche, and it is not the same as most fantasy novels, and it is also mysterious, deliberately making it "indescribable", "mysterious", "incomprehensible to the power system", "sometimes it is the ancient dragon martial arts style, and sometimes it becomes a Hollywood movie montage technique", "This chapter looks like One Piece's blood is boiling, and the next chapter suddenly looks like Gintama is funny and complains about daily life, and occasionally drives secretly", "One will be an Oriental chick slashing people with three knives, and another will be a Western beauty dancing on stage" , the whole is a neurotic author, and the results of the book are definitely not much better.
In short, this is a fantasy cool article, happy and not greasy, not written according to the thinking routine of normal people, it may be difficult for you to understand, there would be someone who writes online articles like this, it is simply an idiot author.
So this book is not a little white text, and it takes a little brains to understand it (riding a horse at the age of 18). Because the author is lazy and lazy to add too much explanatory text to the text, in fact, many readers can understand it at a glance.
If you would like to support it, I kindly ask you to vote for 1 recommendation, just 1 and let me see that there are still people who like this book.
If conditions permit, a small reward of 1 book coin, thank you for your enthusiastic support and help!
Before putting it on the shelves, five or six thousand words a day can be read retroactively, and it will be written as tightly as possible.
It is said that there will be follow-up recommendations if there are readers chasing after reading, thank you for your support, thank you!
