015: Crisis
Arthur quietly kept an eye on Jaime as he explored. Pen %Fun %Pavilion www.biquge.info and Jaime didn't show anything unusual, just silently followed him with Kagua on his back. Arthur thought, everyone has secrets, maybe he shouldn't be so suspicious?, and then he shook his head, it's always right to be mindful.
Jaime looked back from time to time, still looking worried about what he had said earlier, but much calmer than before, maybe because they had three of them now?
Along the way, the two of them had their own thoughts, and they were not in the mood to gossip, which caused a strange silence around them. Jaime tried to open his mouth several times, but he also felt Arthur's distrust of him, so he could only stop talking. Suddenly, he felt a movement coming from Kagua on his back. He hurriedly put down Kagua behind him.
Arthur helped Kagua to his feet. "Are you alright?" Arthur asked. Kagua shook his arm a few times, then touched his head. "I'm fine, but my head hurts. Jaime added, "You need some time to adjust to the changes in your body, don't worry, your body is fine." β
"Thank you. Kagua said that he had recovered not only his body, but also his hearing and vision. "But let's go quickly, I can feel something approaching. Although Kagua's recovery was uplifting, his vigilance was not discouraged.
"How do you know? And, I think you're somewhat, different?" said Arthur, who had felt that Kagua had changed since they had reunited. "You seem to be getting talkative?" said Arthur.
Kagua smiled slightly, so frightened that Arthur almost thought it was a fakeβhe had never seen Kagua laugh before. "I'm just, with an extra eye. Kagua said with a deep meaning, but Arthur didn't understand what he meant.
Jaime reminded him, "Let's talk as we go." He was clearly still afraid of the thing he had never met. Everyone agrees and continues their journey to find Eve and Orlando.
"Jaime, can I call you that?" asked Kagua on the way, asking Jaime. "Of course, Mr. Kagua. Kagua clearly had something to ask him, and he looked at Kagua suspiciously. "How did you heal my wounds? I thought I was going to die. β
Jaime was secretly relieved when he heard that it was the question. "It's nothing, I just prayed like my god, that's all, she healed you. Jaime said lightly, as if it were a trivial matter.
"I don't have much contact with the church. Arthur said. "But I've never seen anyone get a response from a goddess so quickly, and you're really a god's favor?" Arthur tried to get a word out of Jaime's mouth.
"Everybody says that, I'm just, lucky. Jaime humbly said, not revealing much useful information. "The goddess has taken good care of me, and I can't ......repay it," said Jaime, a flash of sadness in his eyes, and the sadness was so thick that Arthur felt a shock in his heart just by glancing at it.
"Wait. Kagua abruptly stopped the two. "Ahead, there's no way. Kagua said. "What? It can't be, I've been wandering here for many years, and I've never, never seen a blocked road. Jaime was amazed, and he ran forward with the oil lamp, but before he could take two steps, he was blocked by a wall. "God, how is this possible......" James muttered to himself, as if he didn't understand the current situation.
Kagua closed her eyes, as if sensing something. "We're in trouble. He said. "That thing is blocking our path. He opened his eyes, pulled out the two knives from his waist, and looked at the way they had come. "Looks like he's been following us all the way. β
"When we get out, you'll have to show me how you do it. "Arthur was also ready for battle. Jaime, on the other hand, huddled in the corner with his head in his hands.
Kagua and Arthur were on the lookout. Arthur faintly heard heavy footsteps, seemingly out of nowhere, as if they were far away from him. Staring deadly ahead, but all he could see was darkness.
After a while, the footsteps were still far away from them. Arthur couldn't take it anymore, and he picked up the oil lamp hanging from his waist. "I don't want to wait, I'm going to see what the hell that stuff is. Kagua thought for a moment, then nodded, expressing his support for Arthur's idea.
The two of them took the initiative to run towards the thing, and Kagua could feel the breath of the thing getting closer and closer to them, getting closer and closer, almost hitting them in the face!
"Be careful!" Kagua said, slashing at the void, feeling as if his knife had sunk into a swamp, and then it was bounced off by a powerful force.
Arthur heard Cagua's shout and subconsciously jumped backwards, he felt a gentle breeze blowing, and then, an extra bloody mouth appeared on his face.
He hung the lamp back to his waist, and caught the enemy in his afterglow. And he only saw a black shadow flashing, he subconsciously raised his hand, "Click!" With the business of breaking the wood, the bow and arrow in Arthur's hand was smashed by a blunt object, and Arthur was also carried backwards by the great force.
Kagua regained his form, saw Arthur who had been repulsed, closed his eyes, and with the help of his heart's eye, stepped forward, swinging his sword at the black shadow.
Once again, he felt as if his knife was stuck in a swamp, but Kagua, with the help of his heart's eye, pulled it out and blocked the shadow's return shot.
The power of the shadow also forced Kagua back several steps, and Arthur scrambled to his feet, covered in dirt. "Damn, what is this?" he tossed the oil lamp at the feet of the dark shadow, illuminating his figure.
It was said to be illuminated, but it was not really, because the black shadow was a person shrouded in a thick black fog, and there was not a single light reflected on his body. The man seemed to be slow, no different from the walking corpses before him, but Arthur, who had already fought him, knew that he was not what he seemed.
The man didn't have anything to call a weapon, and with his bare hands, he was slowly approaching Arthur and the others. Despite his slow speed, slower than the average walking corpse, Arthur felt a sense of oppression like never before.
"What to do? do you have a solution?" Arthur asked Kagua, looking at the broken bow at his feet, and thought that his bones were no harder than that. Kagua still had his eyes closed, and when he heard Arthur's question, he just said lightly, "I don't know, but I can try." β
