Prologue: Come gently
The sunset is like blood, and in the primeval jungle, the ancient trees are dark and vigorous, and the leaves are as hard and short as needles, and there are also broad leaves like a fan, which is slightly weird. Terrible sounds rang one after another, like the howl of a wild wolf, and like the wailing of an ancient crow, which was terrifying.
This is the Great Wilderness, cruel and cold-blooded. In this world, there is life passing in every moment. Whether it's night or day, you can fight to the death at any time, just to be able to greedily breathe another breath of air in the jungle.
Miraculously, in this incomparably cruel wilderness, there is still a tribe, which can also be called a small village. There were not many people in the village, and the old and young people combined were less than two hundred. It is said that their ancestors fled here hundreds of years ago. Because it is close to a large river, they make their home here and make a living by hunting. They also lived an extremely savage life, fighting wild beasts to get food, or, to become food.
The river was called the Mother River by them for generations, and the water of the Mother River was extremely turbid, and only a patch of earth was visible from a distance. The ancestors said that this river is sacred and cannot be offended, and few people approach it in ordinary times. For hundreds of years, no one used the river water for laundry and cooking, but only dug some well water to make a living. They are also sometimes curious, wondering why their ancestors made their home here, after all, life in the Great Wilderness is so cruel. It is rumored that it was because of the mother river that they settled here, but they did not dare to survey because of the ancestral teachings, so generations of people had to suppress their curiosity.
The white morning light of the fish belly revealed a faint purple, and with the sound of the rooster, the villagers got up one after another, the night watchman rubbed his eyes that had been staring all night, and the other men subconsciously touched the wooden spear beside him, because danger existed at any time, and the moment he opened his eyes, he should be vigilant from the moment he opened his eyes.
The women also began to get busy, digging some well water to wash vegetables and cook. A few children of seven or eight years old were carefree and chased at the side gate of the village near the mother river.
"Hahaha, hairy monkey, Lao Tzu has finally caught you!" a strong boy held his stomach and carried a skinny child with a smug face. Although the child in his hand is still very thin, it is amazing to have such magical power at this age.
The boy who became a hairy monkey by him struggled but was helpless, his eyes were dripping, trying to find out of the strong boy who was carrying him. Suddenly, he was a little stunned, but he no longer struggled, his eyes were staring in the direction of the mother river, and his mouth was big, as if he saw something incredible.
"Don't cheat, you kid, haha, I know you're cunning, in fact, there's nothing, right, don't let go!" The strong boy laughed loudly, but he couldn't help but look back, and in an instant he couldn't speak like a ghost, just like the hairy monkey before, he couldn't help but rub his eyes.
"Abba, Abba!" After being stunned for a long time, he hurriedly shouted, "In the river, in the river... There's something!"
Several big men rushed over when they heard his words, and one of them was wearing an open animal skin coat, carrying a longbow behind his back, and his face was somewhat similar to that of the strong boy. The man patted the strong boy and said, "What did you see in your boy, if you dare to play with your old man." “
Before he could finish speaking, he also saw the thing in the river.
He shouted, "Come and help!"
Then he rushed over with a few people around him.
I saw an abrupt and vague dot floating at a steady speed on the mighty mother river, and the field of vision quickly enlarged. Gradually, in the early morning mist, everyone saw the little dot clearly. Slowly drifting in was a wooden barrel, and as the waves rose and fell, the villagers gathered around and stared at the barrel.
The barrel surface was covered with a veil, and it was dimly visible that it was a child inside. The villagers did not dare to go down to the river, so they could only watch from afar.
"Good poor boy. Da Zhuang was a little unbearable and muttered.
"There's no way, I can't save it. The thin monkey sighed lightly, and the barrel gradually moved away from the shore, and he could not save the child at all.
Suddenly, I don't know if it was an undercurrent or a miracle, the barrel swirled in the water, turned around and went to the shore.
The barrel slowly leaned towards the shore, and finally came to a halt not far away.
"Hurry up and save the child!" Da Zhuang's father was the first to react, beckoning the stunned crowd to save people.
They scrambled to carry the child to the grass on the shore. Strangely, the barrel was submerged by the river as soon as the child landed, as if its mission had been accomplished. The villagers were shocked, and because they were in the middle of the mother river, they thought it was a divine manifestation, and looked at the child carefully.
The child was white and chubby, with traces of milk still left on his mouth, and he slept peacefully, with a kind of aura. On the neck, a small dark black sign shines in the sun, engraved with three characters of dragon flying and phoenix dance, these words look extremely simple, and the words circulating in the village have the same origin, and you can barely recognize these three words: Yuan Weiji.
"That's... Is it iron, the legendary?" the villagers discussed, metal was an absolute rarity in the tribe. Because, the smelting of metal is really a big problem for this kind of village, and even in the outside world, it is estimated that there will not be many metal products.
"Why do I feel a little evil..."Da Zhuang muttered quietly, a little chilling, and the thin monkey nodded thoughtfully.
In this way, on a dull day, Xiao Yuan descended on the great wilderness so plainly.
But he was destined to be different.
Because, he doesn't belong here.
Perhaps, in a long, long future, he will give an account to this grand world.
The morning sun was shining, the child was held by the villagers, and he was still asleep, sleeping very deeply, and his eyelids were not trembling.
The sun shone faintly, facing the child's somewhat pale face, serene and beautiful.
Many years after this scene, the villagers still talk about it.
