Chapter 141: Snakeskin

Sliding into the tunnel feels like you're playing on a slide, but it's very long and slimy, making you feel very uncomfortable. Pen~Fun~Pavilion www.biquge.info he could see that there were many pipes branching out in all directions, although none of them were as thick as this one. Louis slid down the tube with a twist and turn, believing he was very far under Hogwarts, and much deeper than the classrooms underground. He could clearly hear Lockhart's exclamations coming from ahead, and the sound of Harry bumping and bumping.

Louis noticed a bright light ahead, as if the tube was coming to an end. He wisely added a talisman to himself, after all, it would hurt if he fell directly to the ground.

When he slipped out, he noticed that Harry and the three of them were all a little bruised and swollen. Looking at their miserable appearance, Louis felt that it was a great choice to give himself a talisman charm.

"I think we got to very deep down the school. Harry wiped his glasses and said, his glasses were covered in slimy stuff and he had to wipe them clean or he wouldn't be able to see anything.

"Perhaps, we are now under the lake. Ron squinted.

Ron was probably talking about the huge lake at the school, which is said to be home to fishmen.

"Fluorescent flickering!" Louis whispered, and then his wand glowed, "Now we can see better, let's go." With that, he took the lead and walked forward.

The tunnel they were walking in was brighter than the pipes, but it was still a little dark, and the light of Louis's wand reflected their shadows on the wall.

"Remember, if you hear something, close your eyes. Harry reminded that because basilisk's eyes can kill people, anyone who sees a basilisk's eyes will die. Even ghosts can be petrified.

"Oh, Harry, have you ever wondered what you would do if you closed your eyes and the basilisk attacked you directly?" Louis looked at Harry with caring eyes.

Harry looked at Louis in embarrassment, he had been so worried about the basilisk's eyes that he ignored the basilisk's own attacks. Although the basilisk's eyes are the most lethal weapons, the basilisk's sheer size and sharp fangs alone are enough to kill them easily.

The tunnel was as silent as a tomb, and it could be called a grave if you wanted to, because the ground was littered with the bones of small animals. Louis took his head and continued to walk forward, and they turned a corner.

"Wait, there's something up ahead......." Ron said in a trembling voice, not knowing if it was because of fear or worry.

Several people stood there motionless for a moment, staring dead ahead. By the light of his wand, Louis saw the silhouette of a huge animal in front of him, but it lay there, not moving.

"Maybe it's asleep?" Louis said, frowning. Although he had watched the entire Harry Potter series before the time traveled, so much time had passed that he only remembered the key plot points and forgot everything else.

"You stay here and don't move, I'll go and take a look. Louis instructed back to the three of them.

Then, Louis slowly moved forward. He raised his wand in the air, ready to unleash his magic at any moment. However, as he slowly walked in, the massive creature remained motionless. Louis stretched his wand forward, and he saw that it was a huge snakeskin, green and bright, and it looked like the skin of a poisonous snake, coiled around the floor of the tunnel, and the inside was empty. Based on the length of the snakeskin, the basilisk was at least twenty feet long.

"Merlin's beard....." Ron groaned in pain as his wand fell to the ground in distraction.

At this point, Lockhart quickly lunged towards Ron's wand. Harry wanted to rush up and snatch the wand from Lockhart, but alas, it was too late.

"Alright, kids, the adventure game is over. Lockhart picked up his wand from the ground, pointed it at them, and said, "I'm going to take this snakeskin to the school, and tell them that I regret that I was too late to save the little girl, and that you have lost your minds because of the great grief you have seen her torn apart." He smiled as if he had everything under control.

Lockhart raised his wand in the air, as if intending to cast a spell on them.

"Louis, find a way to stop him!" Harry shouted at Louis, who was the only one he could rely on.

But Louis seemed to be stupefied by the scene in front of him, and he stood there motionless. Harry looked at Louis in despair, he didn't expect that Louis, whom he regarded as his savior, would be scared silly.
