Chapter 434: Roger Collins, Lanxiang Excavator
Mr. Crouch turned to look at Dumbledore, "I suppose that's all, Albus?"
"Yes," Dumbledore said, looking at Mr. Crouch with a slight concern, "don't you really want to stay at Hogwarts tonight, Barty?"
"Yes, Dumbledore, I must go back to the Ministry," said Mr. Crouch, "and you know how busy the Ministries are right now, with all the troubles going on everywhere..."
"Well, then, why don't you come over and have a drink before you go?" said Dumbledore. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info
"Come on, Barty, I'm not going to leave here!" Bagman said excitedly, "It's finally happening at Hogwarts, isn't it?" And it's so much more fun than the office!"
"I disagree, Ludo. Crouch said, his tone revealing his usual impatience.
"Professor Karkaroff, Madame Maxim, would you like a bedtime drink?" said Dumbledore.
However, Madame Maxim had already put her arm around Fleur's shoulders and led her out of the room. The occupants of the room could still hear them whispering in French as they walked towards the auditorium.
Karkaroff greeted Krum, and they left without saying a word.
"Harry, Cedric, and Roger, you... I suggest you all go back to sleep. Dumbledore said, smiling at the two of them, as if he wasn't worried about the chaos that had happened tonight, "I'm sure the Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws are all waiting to celebrate with you." They finally had an excuse to make a big fuss, and it was too undeserved to take away this opportunity from them. โ
Cedric glanced at Roger's group, nodded, and walked out of the room alone. Neville wanted to say something, but was kicked out of the house by Roger, and he didn't have to think about it to know that the little fat man was going to say something to give up, but he couldn't give him this chance.
Out of the hut, several people found the auditorium empty, and the flame of the candle was already low, which made the jack-o'-lantern's grinning grin seem flickering and eerie.
When all the warriors in the room were gone, only the Hogwarts professor remained, Professor McGonagall, who had not spoken a word, looked at Dumbledore with a worried expression: "Albus... What the hell is going on? We all know that Roger kid is going to be over the age line, but there's no way he's going to let his friends all be chosen..."
"I can't tellโ" The relaxed expression on Dumbledore's face became solemn, "but it doesn't matter, what matters..."
"Did he lie, did he put Harry's name in at allโ" he said, placing the piece of paper he had been holding in his hand on the table.
The edges of several pieces of parchment were blackened by the flames, but they were strangely not burning, and the words on them were clear in the bright light of the room.
"Luna Lovegood, the North Blue Bird..."
"Ginny Weasley, Northern Auto Repair..."
"Neville Longbottom, Xinhua Computer..."
"Hermione Granger, New Oriental Cooking..."
"Roger Collins, Lanxiang Excavator..."
Professors Snape, Moody, and McGonagall stepped forward, looking at the names and suffixes on the slips of paper, except for the Harry Potter one.
Snape sneered and whispered, "This is not much proof, maybe the more you use the spell, the more skilled you are, and you won't have to write the name of the school in the end?... In my opinion, Roger felt that he wanted to be in the limelight and insisted on violating the charter. Ever since he entered the school, he has been violating the school rules. โ
"You mean Roger wants to murder Harry?" Professor McGonagall grabbed her neckline tightly, "This can't be!"
Maybe Roger thought it would be fun, after all, the Triwizard Tournament was about to become a farce under his troubles. Snape dragged out a long voice unhurriedly, "As for the murder of the Potter boy... I guess he didn't know the current situation, so he should have thrown it in, after all, they all signed up, but Harry Potter was missing..."
"Hah! I didn't expect my eyes to get so bad after so many years of not seeing you!" Moody laughed sarcastically, his eyes fixed on Snape, "Or are you helping to cover up ......?"
"Alasto!" Dumbledore warned again, "I have absolute trust in Severus!"
Moodinu's lips snorted, and he reached out and held up the note with Harry Potter's name to Snape's eyes rudely: "Compare the handwriting yourself, and see how big the difference is!"
"If that kid didn't know what was going on, why did he just write Harry Potter's name in a completely different handwriting when he signed up for Harry?"
"And if that kid understands the current situation, then he doesn't sign up for his friends so as not to cause him to lose his life, that's right!"
"I don't think Voldemort would ask a kid in his fourth grade to do something for him!" Moody said loudly, slamming his wooden cane.
"I also don't think Roger is telling a lie, Harry's name wasn't put in by him," Dumbledore interjected, fiddling with the scraps of paper on the table.
Snape snorted coldly and retreated into the shadows to speak. His wave of embarrassment was not to find Roger's stubble again, but just to explain the facts, but was refuted by Moody's fierce attitude...
Could it be that this old guy has been bought by Roger's bad seed? Well, it's not impossible... Snape couldn't help but scold in secret.
"But no matter what, Albus," Professor McGonagall said worriedly, stepping forward to look at her headmaster, "we shouldn't have allowed Harry and Roger to compete... You know how dangerous this game is, they're too young to handle that kind of scene..."
"From the moment their names were spat out by the Goblet of Fire, the pact was made...," Dumbledore said.
But when he felt Professor McGonagall's piercing gaze, Deng moved his eyes from the table to her, and said, "Well, although I have a way to break this contract, I won't do it--- enemy will not be terrible until he goes from the dark to the light." And I'm sure they'll be able to handle those projects well..."
"But, Albus......"
"Alright, Minerva," Dumbledore interrupted Professor McGonagall, "I need you to ask about the portraits and ghosts around the Great Hall now, and see if there's anything you find... Come to my office and find me if you have one..."
Professor McGonagall pursed her lips, nodded helplessly, opened the door and walked out briskly.
