Chapter 6: The Monk and the Behemoth
Ning Hao didn't know how long he had been asleep, and when he regained consciousness, he had already returned to the tree hole.
Ning Hao clearly remembered that half of his body's fur was corroded yesterday, and it seemed that he had been bitten by a python with a big hole in his stomach.
He looked at his stomach, a piece of tender and fresh pink meat had replaced the location of the blood hole in his memory, and the vague existence of half of the flesh and blood had already been scabbed over, and the new hard hairs seemed to be impatient to drill out.
"Is the rat's body recovering so quickly?" Ning Hao recalled in his mind, but he didn't find such information at all.
The entire tree hole had been packed with Ning Hao's body, and in just one day, it seemed that his volume had increased again.
Turning over with difficulty, Ning Hao stuck his head out of the hole.
Bursts of fruity scent wafted through the air, and squirrels either crouched on tree trunks or hung themselves in the air with their big tails, like clusters of red-green flames.
Ning Hao tried his best, but found that his lower body was firmly stuck in the tree hole, and he couldn't get out at all.
Smelling the aroma of the fruit, Ning Hao felt that his gastrointestinal peristalsis had intensified again.
A squirrel jumped up and down in front of Ning Hao. It held half a piece of fruit and stared at Ning Hao in a daze, as if thinking about why the animal in front of it looked different from itself.
"Go away, I don't have time to pay attention to you!" Ning Hao glared at it irritably.
As the red eyes swept over the squirrel, the little creature seemed to freeze suddenly, and at the same time, its whole body began to tremble.
Ning Hao didn't notice all this, he struggled to twist his upper body, as if this way he could pull himself out of the hole in the tree with his huge belly.
A shadow swept over the mouse's head, fleeting, and at an astonishing speed.
A few more shadows flew by, and at the same time, a huge roar swept in, alarming countless birds and beasts in the jungle.
Ning Hao looked over his head suspiciously, only to see figures flying high in the air, their clothes dancing, and they were clearly not birds and beasts in the jungle.
There had never been a moment when the mouse felt that his eyesight was so good, and through hundreds of meters of woods, he could see everything in the sky clearly.
It wasn't just that that surprised him.
The swift figure that flashed by was extremely slow in his eyes.
Ning Hao clearly saw that it was a man dressed in ancient costumes, holding a silver long sword in his hand, and he flew over out of thin air like this.
"Is it high-tech or am I dazzled?"
Ning Hao's mouth was half open, a little incredulous what he was seeing.
After being stunned for a few seconds, Ning Hao suddenly writhed like crazy and writhed half of his body that was deep in the tree hole.
Seeing that he couldn't get out of the trap, the mouse retracted into the hole in the tree, only to see him open his teeth and start gnawing frantically at the mouth of the hole.
As countless sawdust fell from the trees, the hole visibly widened to the naked eye.
Ning Hao suddenly burst out of the cave, and his huge and strong body was finally exposed to the air.
Without stopping for even a second, the mouse's paws clasped tightly into the gap between the bark and leaped upward. In just a few strokes, he climbed the trunk of a tree tens of meters high.
As he climbed higher and higher, Ning Hao gradually heard the whistling sound like a fighter jet, and the wind blew towards the leaping rats, but it could not stop him even the slightest.
Seeing that he was about to climb to the highest point of this giant tree, Ning Hao's hands and feet trembled a little with excitement, and he adjusted the muscles of his body and took the last few steps.
Ning Hao suddenly remembered his mood when he saw the sea for the first time, a boy living inland, the first time he saw such a vast and boundless sea, his heart surged with indescribable excitement and surging.
Above the treetops, Ning Hao saw the whole picture of the jungle he was in for the first time.
It was an endless green expanse, and the strong wind blew, stirring up layers of ripples like waves.
In the distance, you can see the group of fairy-like figures who are flying out of thin air, and they sweep through this green sea in groups, like boats in the sea, leaving a long trail behind them.
Ning Hao looked at the group of people who were far away, and his eyes showed an extremely excited look.
It turns out that there are really people in this world, and they are cultivators with unpredictable powers.
"I knew that immortal cultivation really existed!"
Everyone has had countless unrealistic dreams when they were children, some hoping to become superhuman, and some wishing that they could do magic. And when Ning Hao was a child, he firmly believed that there were cultivating immortals in this world, and they were hidden in places that mortals could not reach, and they had the power to destroy the heavens and the earth. So much so that later, after reading countless Xiuzhen Xianxia novels, he firmly buried this dream in his heart.
The three-foot Qingfeng travels the world, and the unpredictable immortal law walks beside him.
What made him happier than seeing the humans in this world was seeing the monk flying in the air with a fairy sword.
"I also want to cultivate the truth. ”
Such a voice sounded in Ning Hao's heart, and the voice was so firm, as if it carried all the expectations in his heart.
This group of cultivators didn't know why they crossed such a huge forest sea, only to see that they were flying farther and farther, and they were about to disappear in Ning Hao's eyes.
Suddenly, a huge creature leaped from the forest into the air, its golden scales reflecting a dazzling glow in the sunlight, like a mountain leaping over a sea of green.
The golden beast opened its mouth like a bottomless abyss, swallowing the group of monks wielding flying swords in one gulp.
Just like a flying fish preying on those flying insects that skim the surface of the water without opening their eyes, a series of actions are completed concisely and competently.
The huge figure sank into the forest sea, and Ning Hao could even feel this tremor coming from an extreme distance.
All is calm.
The mouse stood on the treetops for a long time and watched until the sun sank to the other side of the green ocean, and there was really no movement.
"That's it?"
Ning Hao couldn't believe in his heart that the monk immortals in his heart who could wield the endless sword to cut off the stars were eaten by the giant beast in one bite.
In the next few days, Ning Hao climbed to the highest treetop in the forest from time to time, but he never saw any trace of half of the monk.
Even the great golden creature seemed to have vanished, leaving only the howling of the fierce wind, which left the rat alone on its branches, feeling lonely.
Or is all the unseen waves and turmoil hidden under this deep green ocean?
Ning Hao was lying on his back on the branches of the trees, and in his eyes was a passage made of straight and towering trees, and at the end of that passage, there was a faint blue.
He felt like a frog at the bottom of a well, and all he knew about the world was a palm-sized piece of heaven.
Ning Hao decided to go out and have a look.
