Chapter 7 The price has risen!
Sunset, the seaside town on the border between the Brohn Empire and the June Alliance, is bustling with activity, and ships are busy loading and unloading their cargo, and one-man carts are nimble through the crowd. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info
In the midst of the hustle and bustle, a figure in a dark blue coat walked slowly on the dock, and a gray parrot on his shoulder dozed quietly. His plain-looking face did not attract any attention, and the naval soldiers guarding the harbor did not even bother to raise his eyelids at him.
Out of the soldier's line of sight, Lukka sat down on a large rock on the side of the street. This stone has been used as a resting bench by passers-by all year round, and it has long been polished smooth and smooth.
His disguise was quite successful, not only did he change his face, but he also had a face that was immediately forgotten, and his personal safety was not a problem for at least a day.
But other circumstances just kept him from laughing.
As soon as the Rose Princess landed, the Goldtooth Al enthusiastically stuffed him with six silver coins, which was half more than he had said before!
Lukka naturally didn't have his gold teeth wrapped around his face, so on such an evening, he watched the setting sun stain the sea blood, and counted the six silver coins in boredom.
"Found you!" Ollie appeared out of nowhere, sitting firmly next to Luka, the heavy armor on his body making a metallic crash.
"What, Goldtooth, do you have nothing to do when they unload?" asked Lukka lazily.
Ollie shook her head, her golden-red hair almost burning in the setting sun: "I'm not a member of the crew of the Golden Fang, he just hired me to fight, and I was charged on a per-use basis." β
"He doesn't want to hire you now?" Lukka asked.
Ollie shook his head again: "I don't want to follow him anymore, for half a year, I haven't had a good fight, it's too boring!"
As she spoke, she stretched, "I'll follow you, the treasure you're looking for sounds interesting, and it feels like you're in a fight." How about charging two hundred for one hit, and getting more discounts?"
"But I don't have any money...... Lukka said with a long sigh.
"Ahh
"What price increase?" Lukka was puzzled for a moment.
"Over there, you can see for yourself. Ollie pointed to the official bulletin board not far away.
Lukka stood up and squeezed his way through the crowd to the bulletin board.
His portrait was pasted on it, and the bounty turned out to be 5,000 silver coins.
"See, it's up to two thousand!" said Ollie, sitting on the boulder, laughing heartlessly.
"No matter how much this money goes up, I can't bring it up!" Lukka slumped down next to Ollie.
Ollie scratched her head, looked at Luka, and then at the direction of the bulletin board.
Suddenly, she laughed out loud: "Who said it can't be mentioned?"
The sleeping shut up and was awakened by this sound: "What are you mentioning?"
"It's okay, it's okay, you sleep yours. Lukka quickly reassured, then whispered to Ollie, "Shhh......hhh Don't wake up this ancestor. How do you say you can withdraw the money?"
Ollie put her mouth into his ear and whispered, "I took you to the navy, and after receiving a bounty, you will find a way to escape, won't you have money?"
Lukka jerked his head up, "You're not kidding me?"
Ollie replied solemnly, "I never joke!"
After thinking for a moment, she added: "At least no joke on the issue of money." β
Lukka looked down and thought over Ollie's crazy plan, but it wasn't entirely impossible.
He felt in his pocket, there were still two of the three scrolls left today, and one of them was just right for use: invisibility.
Only, there is one more key problem with this plan: Ollie.
"What if you take the money and run?" Lukka didn't like to question people directly, let alone a beautiful girl like Ollie, but he had to face such a possibility.
"Do you have any spells like 'Contracts That Must Be Completed'?" asked Ollie.
"Two idiots!" shut up and spoke suddenly, startling both of them.
"What's the idiot?" asked Ollie, who had been afraid to underestimate the parrot's intelligence for the past two days.
"Do you think you're a demon?" Idiot!" Shut up and rolled his eyes.
"Then ......" Ollie was helpless.
There was silence.
"Okay! I'll do as you say. Lukka said suddenly.
"Huh?" Ollie said at the same time as Shut Up, "Do you really believe me?" "Do you really believe her?"
"Take a gamble. Anyway, I don't have anything to lose, at most it's just a trip for nothing. Lukka said, leaning back on the big rock, closing his eyes and enjoying the last bits of warmth in the sunset.
Ollie looked thoughtfully at the golden sea.
Until the sunset completely sank beneath the surface of the sea, no one spoke again.
Two hours later, Ollie escorted Lukka, who had been disguised off, into the Union Navy outpost.
The reason why it took so long was because Luca insisted on having a hearty seafood feast before going, and he was deeply affected by the taste of the food in his cell.
"Oh, is this the Crimson Shadow?" the soldier in charge of the reception apparently had the characters on the wanted list on his back and hurriedly beckoned his companions to come up and pick them up.
"You're a mercenary, aren't you?" the soldier asked Ollie, "take this voucher upstairs and get it, you must have silver coins and no paper bills, right?" β
Ollie just nodded, didn't say much, and turned and went upstairs.
Lukka was searched all over his body, the scroll was hidden in the compartment of his coat, and the soldier's search focused on whether he was armed or not, so the small piece of paper was easily entrained.
"I'm really close to the cell......" he laughed to himself.
However, this cell is completely different from the dungeon of the Red Shield Fort on Al Athom Island, there is no "room" at all, just a few wooden cages in the open space.
The cage may seem rudimentary, but with soldiers standing and guarding it at all times, it is much more difficult to escape than a stone dungeon.
Even going to the toilet will be visited, Lukka thought as he looked at the expressionless soldier in front of him. However, seeing him so motionless, could it be like shutting up, dozing off with his eyes open?
Reckoning that it would take Ollie some time to count the coins, he sat down against the cage wrapped in his coat, and closed his eyes and remembered the escape route in his headβhe and Ollie agreed to meet at midnight behind the Snoring Tavern by the docks.
When he opened his eyes again, it was already dark and the moon was rising.
It's time.
Lukka reached for the scroll and pricked his finger with the wooden thorns in the cage.
Can you not stop it hurting so much every time?" he thought as he cast the spell.
Silently, Luca's figure instantly faded and disappeared into thin air.
The guards outside the cage did not notice anything unusual and remained expressionless. Lukka now confirmed that the soldier was dozing off with his eyes open.
I'm such a big living person is gone, eh! Invisible Luka's head is sweating, you don't notice that I ran away, how can I get out of the cage?
In desperation, he had no choice but to shout outside the cage: "Someone has escaped from prison!"
The soldier suddenly woke up, looked at the empty cage and was stunned for a moment, then took out a whistle and blew it.
Other soldiers arrived, opened the cage door, and entered the empty cage to check.
Lukka rubbed shoulders with the soldiers who had entered the cage, and easily walked through the gate and into the alley in the night.
It was so easy that he almost laughed out loud when he looked at his body that wasn't even visible, or rather, the space where it should be.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice asked, "Where are you going?"
