Chapter 17: The Holy Warriors

I wanted to leave the wind of the Northland, but I passed through my fingertips. I wanted to leave the snowflakes that fell from the sky, but they melted the moment I touched my hand. I want to leave my parents behind who are out in the snow......

May all children in the world grow up healthily, may all families in the world be happy, and may everything in the world be bathed in the glory of the Illuminator.

For this, Jolen is willing to bear all the responsibility and pain she can.

It's been ten years since she was chosen to be the Paladin of Pero the Illuminator, and Joren has been recognized by her mentor as a powerful and brilliant paladin, but she has recently struggled on the path to perfection.

I'm afraid that all these difficulties are blamed on the cat in front of me who is facing the druid who is inexplicably having a spring in the north.

Ever since she met the Ivy League druid called Happy Encounter nearly two years ago, she had traded her holy sword and druid for the cat because she kept her promise......

It was such a failure, why did she agree to the druid's agreement at that time, she often regretted and reflected on it.

The result of reflection is that she is still not mature and pious, and her passion for fighting evil and her will to maintain order are still not strong enough, all of which is her fault.

And the most annoying thing is that some of the druids who often lure her into depravity are still from the evil camp, which makes her want to cut it down from time to time.

But when I think of her holy sword...... All this must have been just a test given to her by the Enlightened One.

Fighting evil is always the easiest way, but guiding the wicked down the beautiful path is difficult but more rewarding.

Then take this cat to practice.

Thinking like this, Joren was brought into danger and predicament and moral problems by the druid's cat again and again, and he was really more and more powerless.

The cat was like a prophet, and every time she happened to take Jolen into trouble, it made her wonder if she was caught in a series of conspiracy by some mysterious organization.

But obviously, these troubles are just coincidences and have no commonality.

It's a bit inexplicable......

But it doesn't matter, the paladin Joren is not afraid of any challenge.

The Paladins possess three weapons: a passion for the highest good, a will to uphold the law, and a power to repel evil.

Prosperity, democracy, civilization and harmony,

Freedom, equality, justice, the rule of law,

Patriotic, dedicated, honest and friendly.

The values of a country in this different world are perfectly embodied in the holy warriors. The ultimate value of a paladin is purity and devotion, and only a handful of people can become a paladin, who has the power to protect, heal, and fight evil. In a land full of treacherous mages, evil priests, bloodthirsty dragons, and abominable demons, the Paladin is the last hope that will never be extinguished.

The Paladins are protected by divine powers, so they are immune to disease, can heal themselves, and are brave in the face of danger. They are able to use their divine powers to heal others or cure diseases, as well as to destroy evil. Even a novice paladin can detect evil, while a seasoned paladin can use abilities such as slashing evil and dispelling undead creatures. In addition, the gods of the paladin will give the paladin a mount of high celestial power and magically protected wisdom (usually much smarter than the paladin).

In the minds of the paladins, even mundane tasks are still personal trials, opportunities to show bravery, practice martial arts, learn strategies, and do good to others. However, instead of hunting for treasure in the ruins, the Paladin hopes to lead a holy war against evil in order to achieve self-fulfillment.

A powerful SSR-level class like the Paladin also has a lot of limitations.

First of all, the paladin must be in the good camp of order. If you leave this faction, you will lose your holy powers. In addition, the paladin was required to take an oath to abide by a code of conduct that was consistent with the law and virtues.

The Paladin must be in the Good Order, and if he deliberately commits evil, he loses all of the Paladin's special abilities. Paladins must respect legal authority, behave in a manner worthy of honor, including not lying, cheating, not using drugs, etc., assisting anyone in need (if the person being helped is not doing evil for it), and punishing those who harm innocents.

In addition, the holy warriors did not "choose" to become the holy warriors themselves, but were inspired by the gods and accepted their fate. No one can become a holy warrior by studying, and whether or not you can become a holy warrior is entirely by nature, and there are only two kinds of "being" and "not being" in nature, which cannot be obtained through will or action. But some who are inspired deny being called, refuse to be a paladin, and instead pursue other goals in life.

Most paladins are inspired by the gods and begin their training at a young age. Usually they would serve as retinues or assistants to the more experienced paladins before embarking on the path of independent defense of the law and virtues after many years. There are also paladins who are only inspired when they are older. Regardless of their background, all paladins identify with each other, and this sense of connection transcends race, culture, and even religion. Two paladins will still think of each other as companions, even if they are from far apart corners of the world.

Joren was one such angel who was inspired by the gods to be favored and invited by the Enlightened One when she was 7 years old when she set out to bring happiness to all families.

If you can't be happy, then let others be happy.

This belief makes Joren particularly in tune with the concept and power of the paladin, in a sense, the paladin is the embodiment of all the good in the world.

Paladins are so rare that few people know them well, and most misunderstand them as a stubborn and devout Cult Army. But in reality, the Paladins and the Holy Cult Army are not in the same system.

The Holy Samurai is not an evil slasher, not a Mujahideen, not a Madonna. Paladins behave according to their character rather than their position, and they will walk on the path of perfection according to their character.

And Joron, the paladin...... It is the standard middle two Virgin's silly and sweet character.

She firmly believes that altruism is the only truth in the world, she also believes that as long as she is good enough, she can bring happiness to others, and she also believes that no matter who you are, there is still a good opportunity.

She is compassionate, unwilling to kill, unwilling to engage in conflict with others, and will constantly advise the other party to give up evil deeds even in battle.

Many people are puzzled by how Jolen survived in this world until now. The druid's cat, Antinomi, often complained and questioned this at first.

But now it almost understands that the reason why Jolen hasn't overturned so far is because of her strong combat power.

I thought that without the holy sword, Qiao Lun's behavior would be more cautious and restrained, but I didn't expect her to go into battle with her bare hands, does this guy have his own warrior monk level!?

Even in hand-to-hand combat with thirteen minotaurs in the anti-demon field, she can stand tall and complete thirteen kills, such a person may not be able to die no matter what the circumstances.

Paladin Joren is as hard as the shell of a neutron star.
