Chapter Twenty-Five: Take the Dragon Away

The next week was a year for Harry and Ron. On Wednesday night, after everyone else had gone to bed, Harry was still sitting in the common room.

The clock on the wall had just struck twelve o'clock when the portrait hole was suddenly opened. Ron took off Harry's invisibility cloak as if he had fallen from the sky. Today it was his turn to use Harry's invisibility cloak to Hagrid's hut to help feed Noble, who was now eating dead rats in wooden crates.

"It bit me!" Ron said, showing Harry his handkerchief, which was covered with blood. "I couldn't hold a pen for a week. Let me tell you, the dragon is the most terrible animal I've ever seen, but looking at Hagrid's treatment of it, you think it's a fluffy bunny. After it bit me, Hagrid wouldn't let me scare it. As I left, I heard him singing a lullaby. ”

There was a lapping sound in the dark window. "It's Hedwig!" Harry said, hurried over and let it in. "It must have brought Charlie's reply!"

When Zhang Feng woke up the next morning, he saw Harry's lightning-shaped scar and Ron's freckled face

"I received Charlie's reply yesterday, take a look!" Seeing Zhang Feng open his eyes, Harry immediately handed over the note in his hand.

Zhang Feng didn't answer, "Can you let me get dressed and read that damn letter after I'm done?" I don't really want to expose my body in front of the same sex, especially you two." Zhang Feng looked at Harry and Ron with sharp eyes until he forced them out of his bedroom.

After cleaning up briefly, Zhang Feng went to the common room and picked up the note from Harry's hand, which read:

"Dear Ron,

How are you?

Thank you for writing to me.

I'm happy to adopt the Norwegian Ridgeback, but it's not easy to get it here. I think the best thing to do is to send it to a couple of my friends first, who are coming to see me next week. The trouble is that they must not be seen to carry a dragon illegally.

Can you take the dragon to the highest tower at midnight on Saturday? They can meet you there and take the dragon away while it's dark.

Please hear back to me as soon as possible.

Love you. ”

"We've got the Cloak of Invisibility," said Harry, "and it shouldn't be too hard - I think the Cloak is enough to cover the two of us and Noble. ”

"Then you should write a reply quickly! It's just Ron, it doesn't matter your hands, right?" Zhang Feng asked, pointing to Ron's finger

Ron's bitten hand was twice as swollen.

"I don't know if it's right to go to Madam Pomfrey, will she see if it's been bitten by a dragon?"

"I think you'd better go check it out as soon as possible. ”

Sure enough, in the afternoon, Ron had no other choice. The wound turned an unsightly green color. It seems that Nober's teeth are poisonous. At the end of the day, Harry rushed to the hospital and found Ron in bed, in very bad condition.

"It's not just my hand," he whispered, "though it hurts like it's going to break." To make matters worse, Malfoy told Madam Pomfrey that he was going to borrow a book from me, so he came in and laughed at me as much as he could. He kept threatening that he was going to tell Madam Pomfrey what had bitten me - I told Madam Pomfrey that it was a dog bite, but I don't think she believed it - that I shouldn't have fought Malfoy during a Quidditch match, he was taking revenge on me now. ”

"By midnight on Saturday, it was all over. Harry said, but that didn't comfort Ron in the slightest. On the contrary, he sat up from the bed and broke out in a cold sweat.

"Saturday midnight!" "Oh, oops—oh, oops—I just remembered—Charlie's letter was in the book Malfoy had borrowed, and he must have known we were going to get Norbor." ”

Before Harry could reply, Madam Pomfrey walked in just around that time and told them to leave, saying that Ron needed to sleep.

When Harry went to inform Hagrid, he found the Great Hound Tooth sitting outside the door, his tail bandaged. Hagrid opened the window and spoke to them. "I can't let you in," he gasped, "and Noble is tough right now—I can't do anything about it." They told him about Charlie's letter, and his eyes were filled with tears, but it could have been because Noble had just bitten his leg. "It doesn't matter, it only bit my boot - it's playing with it - after all, it's a little furry baby. The little furry baby banged on the wall with her tail, and the window clicked. Harry walked back to the castle, hoping that Saturday would come sooner.

Hagrid was about to say goodbye to Noble, and Harry and Ron would have felt sorry for Hagrid if they hadn't been worried about what they were about to do. Madam Pomfrey's medical level is really good, and in addition, Zhang Feng used the yin and yang theory of traditional Chinese medicine to forcibly feed Ron some medicine, and on Saturday night, Ron was successfully discharged from the hospital.

It was a dark, cloudy night, and they were a little late when they arrived at Hagrid's cabin, because Peeves was playing tennis against the wall in the foyer, and they had to wait until he left.

Hagrid had packed Noble into a large crate and was ready to go.

"I had a lot of rats for him, and some brandy, enough for him to eat all the way. "I also put his teddy bear in there, lest it feel lonely." There was a tearing sound coming from the crate, and Harry felt as if the teddy bear's head had been ripped off.

"Goodbye, Noble!" Hagrid sobbed and said, "Mommy won't forget you!" Harry and Ron covered the crate with their cloaks, and then cobalt themselves under the robes.

How to move the crates to the tower, they don't know the bottom of their hearts. As midnight approached, they carried Noble up the marble steps of the foyer and down the dark hallway. One floor up, one floor up another—even though Harry took a shortcut, he didn't feel at all uncomfortable.

"It's almost there!" They reached the hallway one floor below the tallest tower, Harry gasped.

There was a sudden movement in front of them, and they were so frightened that they almost threw away the box in their hands. Forgetting that they were invisible, they quickly retreated into the shadows, and watched as two black figures were scuffling each other a dozen paces away from them. A light is shining.

It was Professor McGonagall, dressed in a plaid dressing gown, wearing a hairnet, and tugging at Malfoy's ear. "Confinement!" She shouted, "Slytherin deducts twenty points!" How dare you wander around in the middle of the night—" "You don't understand, Professor, Harry Potter is coming—he's got a dragon with him!" Utter nonsense! How dare you make up such a lie!Go—I'd like to see what Professor Snape does with you, Malfoy!"

Once you're out of Malfoy, the steep spiral staircase leading to the tower seems like the easiest stretch in the world. They didn't come to the cold night sky until they took off their cloaks. It's nice to finally be able to breathe freely again.

"Malfoy is going to be locked up! I want to sing!"

"Don't sing. Harry reminded Ron.

They giggled and laughed at Malfoy as they waited, and Noble moved violently in the box. About ten minutes later, four broomsticks suddenly landed out of the darkness.

Charlie's friends are all cheerful people. They showed Harry and Hermione the ropes they had improvised so they could hang Noble between them. They shackled Noble to the rope safely, and then Harry and Hermione shook hands and said many words of thanks.

Finally, Noble was gone.

They crept down the spiral staircase, finally freed from the heavy burden of Nobel, their hearts as light as their hands. The dragon is gone—Malfoy will be locked up—what could spoil their joy? As soon as they stepped into the hallway, Filch's face suddenly emerged from the darkness. "Oops, noos, noos," Harry whispered, "we're in trouble. "They forgot about the cloaks of invisibility on the top of the tower.
