Chapter 64: Being Educated

"Mr. Wind Chang, Mr. Harry Potter, and Mr. Ron Weasley!" Professor Snape's cold words came from behind them, "I don't think now is the time for you to make a fool of yourself. The three of you broke into the Great Hall of Hogwarts House in that illegally modified car, interrupting the sacred sorting ceremony. I think the three of you should come to my office and reflect. ā€

"Follow me!" Professor Snape shook off his black robe and walked out of the Great Hall. Harry, Ron, and Zhang Feng reluctantly followed him out.

They followed Snape up the steps and into the empty, echoing foyer lit with torches. The smell of food wafted from the Great Hall, but Snape led them away from the warmth and light, down the narrow stone staircase into the basement classroom.

"Get in!" He opened a door in the cold hallway and pointed inside.

Harry and Ron shuddered involuntarily when they saw Professor Snape's gloomy face. They walked into Snape's office. The walls are dimly lit, and on the shelves along the walls are many large glass jars, in which all sorts of disgusting things float. The fireplace was empty, and the black hole was hollow. Snape closed the door and turned to look at the two of them.

"Ah," he whispered, "the famous Harry Potter and his friends don't think the train is fun enough and want to have an exciting time, don't they?"

"No, sir, it's the wall at King's Cross Station, it's—" Harry tried to argue, but was interrupted by Snape.

"Quiet!" Snape said coldly, "I remember Mr. Ron Weasley, your father worked in the Division for the Prohibition of the Misuse of Muggle Items, right?"

Ron's face was a little ugly, if someone found out that Mr. Weasley had done magic on the car, his father's job would not be saved, and Feng Chang was still advertising in the auditorium just now, oh my! Thinking of this, Ron glanced at Zhang Feng complainingly.

"It's a pity that you are not students of my academy, and I have no right to make the decision to expel you. But soon the one who really has this pleasant privilege will come. Just wait. Harry and Ron's faces were a little pale, and Zhang Feng still didn't say a word.

Joke, Mr. Savior of the wizarding world has been expelled from Hogwarts! Will Hogwarts be recruited in the future? The orphans of the backbone of the Order of the Phoenix have been expelled? Will Professor Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix be stable?

Ten minutes later, Professor McGonagall arrived. Harry had seen Professor McGonagall flare up a few times before, but maybe he had forgotten how tight her lips were when she was angry, or maybe he had never seen her so angry as she was. Anyway, Professor McGonagall's appearance was strange to Harry. She raised her wand as soon as she entered the room, Harry and Ron both flinched, but she only lit the empty fireplace, and a fire immediately ignited in the hearth.

"Sit. She said.

All three of them retreated to their chairs by the hearth.

"Explain. The lenses of her glasses flickered ominously.

Ron spoke hurriedly, starting with the station's partition wall preventing them from passing through.

ā€œ.. We can't do anything else, teacher, we can't get on the train. ā€

"Why don't you send an owl to us, there's an owl in your car's luggage?" Professor McGonagall said coldly to Harry.

Harry stammered.

"Professor McGonagall, we've thought of this method before, but given the fact that all of Harry's letters have been intercepted this summer, the method you're talking about isn't feasible. Zhang Feng saw that Harry was stunned, so he answered for him.

There was a knock on the door, and Snape went over to open it. Outside the door stood their headmaster, Professor Dumbledore.

Dumbledore's expression was unusually serious, and he looked down at them with his crooked nose down. There was a long silence. Then Dumbledore said, "It seems that in addition to protecting its students in the house, Hogwarts must also protect its students on the road, and I don't think there should be such a situation where students can't get into the platform in the future." ā€

"As for the three of you, it is extremely unsafe to behave today, and I must make you feel the gravity of your act, and I will write to your home tonight. I must also warn you that if you behave like this again, I will have to expel you. ā€

Snape's expression was as if he had heard that Christmas had been cancelled. He cleared his throat and said, "Professor Dumbledore, these three students have ignored the decree restricting the use of magic by underage wizards, and have trespassed into the Great Hall where the banquet is being held. Acts of this nature, of course.."

"Let Professor McGonagall decide the punishment for these three students, Severus," Dumbledore said calmly, turning to Professor McGonagall, "I must go back to the banquet, Minerva, and I have a few notices to announce. Come on, Severus, there's a custard flan that looks so good that I want to try it. ā€

Snape glared at them viciously and was pulled out of the office. Only the two of them and Professor McGonagall were left in the room.

"Because school hasn't started before you get on the bus, I won't deduct the scores from the colleges. But you must stay here until the end of the feast. Also, Ron, your sister has entered Gryffindor. I'm going back to the banquet too. With a wave of her wand, Professor McGonagall sent a large plate of sandwiches, three silver cups, and a jug of chilled pumpkin juice on the table, and went out.
