Chapter 632: A Trap?

Instead of rushing into the square from the front, Erin and Freya approached the square cautiously from a narrow street on the side, relying on cover. Despite Nils's cover, they were unsure of what was inside the church. Because once they rush over, they can't stop, and if they are exposed in the square for too long, the rockets will come to meet them.

It would be unwise to act rashly, and both men knew that. So they cautiously advanced under the cover of Nils's sniper, and when they were only two or three steps away from entering the square, they checked their weapons one last time. Nils from the tower just poked his head out slightly to glance at the two of them, and then continued to use his sniper rifle to deliver new gifts to the thugs in the square.

He has already eliminated all the machine-gun posts, along with the man and the universal machine gun. As long as those things are scrap metal, then they can't pose much of a threat to Erin and Freya. They could handle the pistol-wielding enemy, so after Nils had asked them for a path to the church, he moved his sniper rifle to the other side of the square, and now it was time for him to help Carl.

"Are you ready?" Freya asked Erin.

"All the time. Erin replied with a smile.

"Let's go teach them a lesson. Freya dodged out from behind the bunker and headed straight for the church.

The thugs couldn't pose a threat to the two who came by, but as they had said before. Since Callert knows how to hire local gangsters, mercenaries who fight for money will also be their targets. In fact, mercenaries are a little easier to control than thugs, because thugs may have some unrealistic ideas, and mercenaries will not hesitate to follow their employer's instructions as long as they give enough money.

When the thugs are gone, they are just discarded. A group of mercenaries who rushed out of the church successfully stopped Freya and Erin, they had a strong desire to fight, and they would not find some relevant reasons to avoid fighting because their opponents were strong or weak. And the two obviously didn't expect the mercenary to suddenly appear, although they had a wealth of combat experience, they were still caught off guard by the mercenary whose combat experience was no less than their own.

If Freya's reaction had been any slower, her head would have been split open by the mercenary's sword. Thankfully, she stopped her pace in time and spun backwards to dodge the slash. After reacting, Erin threw the chain wrapped around the revolver of the blade, wrapped around the arm of a mercenary and launched a counterattack. Apparently the mercenary hadn't expected Erin to pull off such a trick, and he didn't know how to break free from the python-like chains.

There is not much suspense about what happens next, and Irene, although she has a kind character, fights the real enemy without mercy. She leapt forward with the help of her chains, the bladed revolver flashing past the throat of the bound mercenary. A line of blood rushed into the air, and the mercenary's mouth was wide open but he couldn't make a sound, and his eyes gradually filled with fear.

The mercenary leader-like guy approached Erin with a few clever steps, trying to avenge his men. In the first encounter, Erin didn't take advantage, the mercenary swept away the chains with the blunt weapon in his hand, and Erin had to retract the chains and retreat, the blade on her revolver attacking relatively far away. They all knew that they were not facing a rat or a rat, so they became more cautious than before.

Nils noticed the condition of the two men, and before Karl had arrived, he shifted his sniper rifle again to the side of the square near him. Supporting the two men was a must, as they continued to be exposed in the open square, and sooner or later they would be targeted by rocket turrets. Of course, if Warhammer could quickly take out all the artillery positions on the east side of the town, there would be no such concern. But to be honest, Nils doesn't fully trust Warhammer, and he has to guarantee that nothing goes wrong.

In fact, the warhammer on the east side of the town had already been targeted by the guys in the bunker, and Calert eventually built such a fortification. They housed their beloved six-pounder guns in the bunkers, and although it was unlikely that armored units would appear in such places, they were accustomed to deploying such anti-tank guns in the bunkers for defense. Although it was limited in its lethality to humans, they believed that the weapon could provide a deterrent to what they saw as the Aradd.

Unfortunately, Warhammer wasn't an Arrad, and he didn't think it was much of a threat. He rushed from bunker to bunker, during which the tank bunker fired only a symbolic shot. It's still too difficult to hit a moving humanoid target, it's just an anti-tank weapon after all. So after a few back and forth, the warhammer was already under the nose of the bunker.

It was much easier, Warhammer waved at Walter, and the shepherd dog scurried into the bunker from behind like a wolf, followed by a scream from inside. Warhammer took the opportunity to swagger into the bunker and smash the man's head with a pump-action shotgun from the bunker. Perhaps Warhammer will have another interest, and that is the bloody scenes.

"I love this. Warhammer raised his shotgun at Walter, who responded by screaming as Warhammer wished. "I'm sorry, Joker, it's mine. Warhammer turned and walked out of the bunker with his shotgun in his hand, and before leaving, he threw a G14 grenade into it, destruction was essential for him.

In the square, Freya and Erin were still wrestling with the mercenaries who had suddenly appeared. They weren't weak, and they seemed to know that a hunter was watching them from some easy vantage point. But they seemed undaunted, and their expressions remained calm, as if things had been going on in a logical way. Freya and Erin's doubts deepened, and there was no reason why these mercenaries would rush out of the church. Because from the beginning they thought that the church was Caller's command post here, and it was impossible for all the hired guys to be in Khaler's command post.

Nils, on the other hand, was unsure whether he was going to shoot or not, because as a sniper, he sensed the smell of danger. The mercenaries who were exposed in the square were complete targets in his eyes, but he had to be more cautious at such times. He shifted his body slightly, observing the surroundings of the tower, and although nothing unusual was present, Nils's face sank.

Karl's lack of appearance was a source of suspicion, and he should have appeared on the other side of the square, but his failure to show up suggests that he was most likely in unexpected trouble. Nils raised his sniper rifle and leaned against the wall at the top of the tower, thinking about what to do next. The feeling of danger doesn't come out of nowhere, and the atmosphere in the town has started to get strange since Freya and Erin arrived in the square.

"Could it be a trap......
