Chapter 31: The Chosen One of Sin (8)
"If you want to have more power, then go and capture one castle after another!" Steve said, "The more enemies you destroy, the more Genshin you will get, and that will make you stronger!"
Toth nodded, "Then let's start with the City of Stoneweirs! I'll have the whole of Erathia under my feet!"
Night began to fall quietly, the lightning and fiery clouds on the horizon had faded, and the thrilling battle in the north was finally over.
"Who the hell did you guys win?" muttered to himself, still looking at the horizon.
"Needless to say, it must be the master Bellerion! No matter how powerful that witch is, she will not have more power than the Grim Reaper!"
"If that is the case, then the forests of Tula Leone will cease to exist, and even if they are not completely destroyed, there is nothing to worry about and nothing more can be done to threaten us. โ
When camping, the two women did not snuggle up to Toth, but sat in the corner of the tent, their expressions very melancholy.
"What's wrong with you guys?" Toth lifted a woman's chin with his hand and stared, "Aren't you happy that we've won a great victory?"
Those with teary eyes, and every now and then a teardrop or two slid down their cheeks to the corners of their mouths.
"Do you know that witch?" asked Thoth.
The women shook their heads.
"So she's your ally?"
The women nodded.
These two women were obviously very close companions, so how could they suddenly become enemies when they were in the same camp?
Could it be that he wasn't in the camp of the undead, but was on their side?
The women's nods confirmed his judgment.
"So...... And Tanan and Leo are my friends, too? I've fought alongside them?"
The women were still nodding.
"So...... And what about Eric, who died under my arrows?
The women's nods continued.
"Oops! How did I kill my friend?" said Toth, holding his head in his hands, "What the hell is going on?"
The women babbled and gestured with their hands.
Toth couldn't figure out what they were trying to say for a long time.
"What are you talking about!" said Thoth. He walked up and down the tent and said, "No, I have to figure out the whole thing......!" Go to the city of stone weirs, find the man named Tanan, and ask him to tell me everything he knows!"
The women nodded.
"But how can you say that he can understand? You can't speak...... I wanted to wait until the cursed magic on you was dispelled before letting you go, but now it seems too late, or more will die at my hands!"
Toth paused for a moment, then said, "Although they may not have died directly at my hands, what difference is that between killing them with my own hands?"
He came to the table, hurriedly wrote a few lines on the parchment, and stuffed them into the women's hands.
"I'll escort you out in the middle of the night! Remember, you have to run as hard as you can, don't look back!"
The women gently rested their heads in Toth's arms, listening to his heartbeat, waiting for the opportunity to come.
Their ski poles and snowboards are now in their tents. Until the dead of night, when no sound could be heard around, everyone hurriedly changed into dark clothes and sneaked out of the tent.
The undead heroes were already asleep, even though the patrolling zombies and terror knights flashed aside when they saw Thoth.
Toth sent them far away until the camp behind them was almost gone.
"Let's go, be careful along the way!" said Toth, who picked them up and kissed them on the forehead.
"Who's there?" shouted in the distance, and several fast horses ran over on the snow and ice.
It was an undead hero on night patrol, with a couple of terrifying knights behind him.
"It's me, Death Adjudicator!"
"Why are you here? ...... Do you want to let these two women go? Have you consulted with General Steve?"
"He's in the big camp...... But I'm afraid you won't see him anymore!" Thoth pulled him off his horse and slapped him in the back of the neck.
"Run!" Toth threw down the corpse, flew on his horse, and pounced on the terrifying knights who surrounded him!
The corpse's neck had been pulled down, and it looked like the cervical vertebrae had been broken.
The women began to ski as hard as they could, and several terrifying riders chased after them. But the Thoth sword came and went, and each sword would split a head! In the end, only a group of Nether Warhorses, who had lost their knights, stood in the snow in a daze, constantly scraping the snowflakes with their hooves.
In the night, the two women had already fled without a trace.
Toth jumped off his horse and tossed over the undead hero.
There is nothing good about this man. Every time Toth flipped out, he tossed it aside disdainfully until he flipped out a book.
"That's it!" Thoth was satisfied, taking the book of the dark arts, and quietly swooped towards the camp.
It was quiet in the camp. No one dared to interrogate him, and he returned to his tent as if nothing had happened.
There was no woman to warm the bed, which made him a little disappointed. He lifted the bear's fur and lay down, then took out the book of black magic and read it.
Oh my God, what the hell is written on it? Could it be that necromancers have their own unique writing? Toth read it for a long time, but he didn't even know a word!
"Fuck, I thought I could learn the Dark Arts!" Toth tossed the book aside in frustration and slowly fell asleep.
Steve arrives at Toth's tent early in the morning and shouts, "Death Adjudicator, are you up?"
After shouting for a long time, Toth's scolding voice finally came from inside: "What are you doing? Didn't I say don't look for me for trivial things?"
"That's right, last night one of our patrol squads was attacked by the enemy, I want you to go and see ......"
"Go ahead, I haven't woken up yet!" came Toth's muttering from inside the tent.
"I want to ask you, is your slave girl still inside?"
"Slave girls, what about them?"
Steve opened the tent door and rushed in: "Sure enough, they escaped!"
"They didn't obey last night, and I beat them up, maybe they ran away because of this!
"Really, if we take them back, they won't be yours anymore!" Steve bent down to pick up a book from the ground and flipped through it a few times, "Death Judge, are you studying the dark arts?"
"Well, it's okay to flip and play!" Thoth immediately rolled over and got up.
"If you don't have any other orders, then I'll go survey the site!" Steve bowed and exited the tent.
The snow was littered with stumps and severed arms. The blood that had flowed on the snow had coagulated and turned an ugly black.
Steve walks in the snow and lifts a head from the ground.
"Do you think it looks like a woman did it?"
"No, a man's head is not so easy to cut off, especially a dreaded knight. It takes a lot of strength!"
"You're saying someone is covering their escape?"
Steve nodded, and then said, "Look at these corpses again, they are all very close to each other! There are not many people here in our country who can kill seven or eight terrifying knights in a whirlwind!" he closed his eyes, as if he saw the man slashing and stabbing in the dark.
"Are you talking about him?"
Steve was noncommittal. He came to the corpse of the undead hero and examined his dying countenance.
The man's eyes had turned dead gray, but they were still wide open, and there was a look of surprise on his face.
"What he saw before he died, I will see!" Steve's index finger turned into a sharp blade, gouging out the dead corpse's eyeballs and putting it in his mouth!
Everyone didn't dare to make a sound, and looked at Steve in a daze.
Eating those disgusting eyeballs, did he taste something?
Steve opened his eyes. He said to the people around him: "Pile up the bodies of these people and burn them! I must summon my master and tell him all that has been born here!"
The flames burned, and the stench of burnt muscles filled the breath. Steve was flying on his feet, whispering around the fire.
The flames suddenly freed up flames several meters high! In the midst of the flames, a dark blue skull appeared! Its jaws widened, and it said, "Steve, are you calling me?"
"O Almighty Master, punish that abominable Death Judge, he has betrayed you!" Steve led the crowd to the ground.
"Watch me!" the skull commanded, "Let me see what you see!"
Steve looked up tremblingly as he stared at the burning skull in the flames.
"You're right!" the skull sighed, "Maybe I was wrong to keep a part of his consciousness alive!
"You mean punish him, not kill him?" Steve said boldly.
"I'm going to strip him of all wisdom and consciousness and let him know only loyalty!" said the skull, "He'll be a killing weapon!" and you, Steve, will be the commander-in-chief of the Western Route Corps, leading the entire army for me!"
"Thank you, my master! I will defend this honor with my life!" said Steve, prostrate in the snow, grateful.
By the time he looked up again, the skull in the flames was gone.
"Let's go!" Steve beckoned to the generals who were still kneeling in the snow, "Let's go and see what has become of that Death Judge!"
As they rode back to camp, Thoth's heart-rending screams could be heard in the tent.
No one dares to watch the punishment that Thoth is suffering! The master is merciless in his punishment of the betrayer!
Only Steve knew that Toth was being bitten by a scarab! It was one of the most terrible punishments in the world, and Steve had seen many of his victims turn into dry bones under the bite of the scarab!
"I can't take it anymore, it makes my hairs stand on end!" an undead hero fled, covering his ears.
"Me too...... I'd better wait for him to stop screaming!"
The terrible screams immediately drove away many of the undead heroes, leaving Steve alone. In his opinion, it was simply a wonderful sound!
"Ahhh
With a bang, the balloon exploded! Tent fragments made of raw cowhide flew in all directions!
When the debris fell to the ground and the scenery in the tent was unobstructed, Steve was so surprised that he couldn't close his mouth!
Oh my god, what the hell is a monster standing in there?!
