Section 2 The God of the Sea
A cold, damp, salty wind blew through and woke Barbas from his dream. When he opened his eyes www.biquge.info he saw several black sticks standing straight in front of him, while he was lying on a row of hard things, his front and hind legs numb.
It looked up and was about to stand up, but with a "bang", the back of its head hit the iron bar. Barbas whined in pain and scratched the place where he had been hit with his paws.
It soon saw these hard things, and he knew them very well, and knew what they were for, and used them often, in the tower of Haggs, where he had imprisoned robbed merchants or lost lambs.
The fact that he was sure that he was locked in an iron cage made it feel humiliated and shameless. The iron prison was his instrument of dominating the fate of others, but now he was being used to bind himself, and he could not accept the fact that he was at the mercy of others, and he was bitter about the loss of his freedom.
However, the most painful thing was not the iron prison, he was surprised to find that he and Rex had lost contact. There was an inexplicable panic in his heart, and he was eager to know if his partner was safe. It shouted Rex's name out of the iron prison, half loudly, and no response was heard.
Instead, his shout caused the beasts to bark wildly, and the iron prison shook violently, jolting up and down, and the surrounding iron prison shook as if it had experienced an earthquake. The beasts panicked and screamed as they spun back and forth in their iron prisons, ready to flee the danger.
In a few moments, the wild tremors died away, and the iron prison regained its calm. The roaring beasts also fell silent. Babas felt the air around him grow damp and a breeze blowing, with a salty smell and a hint of fish. With his knowledge of the sea, he was convinced that he was already on board and was sailing on the sea.
Two bronze lamps hung from the door frame, and through the faint light Babas began to observe his surroundings. He found that it was a storage compartment, and there were many of these iron prisons, stacked three feet high on four floors. Each prison contains a beast, including snow wolves, saber-toothed tigers, swamp apes, ogres, beetles, and zombies. At this moment, the beasts were asleep, lying silently on the ground, motionless.
Two tiger guards pushed open the door and entered, crudely and ugly in orc-made iron armor, standing in the middle of the room filled with iron prisons.
The sound of the door opening woke the sleeping beast. Their eyes widened and they looked at the visitor with a look of wariness and hatred. Each beast emits its own special roar, inherited from its ancestors, and no matter how big or small, warns its enemies of its inviolability.
The slightly chubby guard slammed his broadsword into one of the iron prisons, cursing incessantly, "Damn bastards, I've had enough of your ghostly screams! ”
The other guard did not speak, his expression was serious and his eyes were sharp, pacing around the iron prison as if searching for something. Finally, he stopped in front of Barbas's iron prison, "Yo, this bastard is awake, come and see!"
"yes, lucky bastard. This terrible beast, why isn't it dead yet!" The fat guard walked over quickly and stood with his colleague, "I heard that it and that elf killed a lot of people in the prison, and it was extremely ferocious. Can you imagine that I think he is the embodiment of death. ”
"Well, I've heard that they're terrible killers, too. No, it's scary than a killer, like a butcher, and by the way, the word butcher is best for them. If it weren't for the General's design to restrain them, I'm afraid no one would have been able to catch it. ”
"Well, you guess it's the embodiment of death, look at his menacing expression, those eyes full of the idea of never giving up, and his huge body, strong limbs, not at all like an ordinary wolf. The fat guard leaned into his colleague's ear and said.
The colleague said impatiently, "These damn beasts, vulgar and savage, deserve to hell, whether it is death or not, as long as they are handed over to the Demon Lord, their only end is death." Frankly, I really want it to be delivered quickly, I am tired of life at sea and hope to return to my wife's arms sooner. ”
The fat guard took off his helmet and scratched his ears with his fluffy paws, "I feel the same way, nowadays, not many tiger people are willing to go to sea to adventure, and our trip to sea this time is just the king's order." ”
"yes, get out of here, I don't want to be with this filthy bunch and get to the Blacksawa Islands. Let's go out for a drink!"
"Good. The two of them left the storage compartment one after the other.
The beasts in the iron prison were quiet again, lying on the ground and bobbing up and down with the ship. "I'm getting out of here," Babas thought to himself, "can't be sold like a beast, Rex, where are you." Although he was still distressed about being caught, he already had the idea of escaping.
After the footsteps of the guards outside completely died down, Barbas began to implement his escape plan. In the first step, he had to transform himself into a human form so that he could unlock the iron lock.
After Babas finished reciting a magic spell, the outline of his body became blurred, and began to split into many small white balls of light, which emitted a larger and more dazzling light, constantly flying in the air. In the end, they come together and form a single person. Soon, the Nord warrior Babas was lying curled in the iron prison, and he twisted the lock on the iron door with his hand, opened it and crawled out.
The other beasts were stunned by his change, and they all watched the strange thing's every move with wide eyes, they did not understand how he did it, and they tried to find out what was going on with this thing, and they watched in confusion and indifference, or half-crouched or sitting.
Barbas stood up and stretched his limbs to allow the blood to flow better throughout his body. In order not to cause a disturbance among the animals, he crept to the door, opened a gap and looked out.
After making sure that there was no danger outside and that there were no guards, he glanced back at the beasts in the iron cage behind him, then pushed the door open and quickly left. Reaching the lowest level of the cabin, and coming out of the storage compartment, he found the food pantry.
In the dim light, Babas found bundles of hanging sausages, long cured fish, barrels of flour, salt, sugar, rice, and a few pitiful baskets of almost wilted vegetables. Some eggs were also found in the corner. Barbas grabbed the eggs, threw them in his mouth and chewed them, even eating the shells. After eating some more sausages and pickled fish, my shriveled stomach finally bulged.
"It would be perfect if there was a bottle of dragon's breath to drink. Barbas thought to himself.
Leaving the storage room, he walked up the wooden stairs to the second floor of the cabin. Through the window of the corridor, he saw that there was a white sea outside, and the dark clouds obscured the sun, and he tried to find out the time through the change of the sea surface, but found it very difficult.
Suddenly, there was a pitch black and green lightning crackling on the south side of the ship, and then a thunderstorm cloud resembling a large mushroom swept in. The sea began to tremble, the wind stirred up raging waves, the sky grew darker and darker, and tearing thunder resounded across the sea.
The Tiger Seamen ran out of the frantic cabins, and a dozen or so stood on the second deck, grabbing the mast and looking forward. One of the guards nervously asked the captain-looking man, "So, what is that? Tsunami, Captain." ”
"Oh hell, we're not in a good place. The captain tensed, "It's a thunderstorm cloud, a fierce force of nature, and the Holy Spirit bless us. Hold on, everyone, the storm is coming!" shouted the captain to everyone.
Huge waves dozens of feet high rose on the surface of the sea, mercilessly slapping at this not small merchant ship. The hull of the ship was suddenly violently impacted, and the whole ship staggered and almost overturned in the sea.
Barbas clung to the window edge to prevent himself from being thrown out of the ship. Just as everyone was focusing on the thunderstorm cloud, Babas's weak eyesight noticed something strange about the sea. A long, huge black shadow swam rapidly at the bottom of the ship and around it, and the black shadow was several times larger than the entire hull, setting off scaly waves wherever it passed. It swam swiftly past the bottom of the ship and flew into the deep sea ahead.
The sentry in the watchtower also noticed something strange and began to shout, "Danger, captain, danger, danger." At the same time, constantly pointing to the sea with his hand.
At some point, the captain had an extra telescope in his hand. He shook his head, shielding his ears with his left hand, leaning up to hear the sentry's words. The sentry made a long gesture before the captain understood. "Under the ship!" shouted the captain.
Hold on to the cable with the seafarers on deck and stand on the edge of the ship facing down. The waves crashed against the hull like a huge palm, and the mainmast snapped with a loud "click". After the waves disappeared, a giant snake snaked its body upright on the bow of the boat, its sapphire eyes spewing angry flames, and its tongue waving in the air, whirring.
The seafarers on deck were stunned and looked at the serpent motionlessly. The captain cried and said, "Oh my God, this is the god of the sea, the sea serpent Quinn! With that, he threw off the cable and fled desperately to the cabin. Then the seafarers began to be in disarray, crying and fleeing.
Quinn opened her huge mouth and bit down on the hull, two sharp fangs piercing through the deck and stabbing deep into the cabin. Then, with his smooth body, he wrapped the whole ship around it, and with a strong twist, the wooden boat was completely shattered in the sea, and the tigerman guards on board fell into the sea one after another. The shouting and crying mingled together and I couldn't tell the difference between you and me.
The moment Babas fell into the sea, he grabbed a plank that had burst from the hull. He held his breath and swam rapidly, and in a moment he was floating on the surface. He brushed the water from his face with his hand, and saw Quinn shake off the sawdust from his mouth, plunge into the sea and disappear. Huge waves splashed on the surface of the sea, crashing to both sides and merging into the dark green waters.
After a while, the corpses of the tiger people floated up from the bottom of the sea, lying on their stomachs or soaking on their backs in the icy waters.
