Section 1 The City of Thorns
Located in the western wasteland of the Skyrim Continent, due to the dry climate and long sunshine hours here, the Tiger People, the indigenous inhabitants living here, still maintain a traditional agricultural economy, and cultivate drought-tolerant cash crops such as sugarcane and corn as their industry. Although they also have foreign trades, the entire race is still in a state www.biquge.info of self-sufficiency. They are relatively peaceful and prosperous, and live a life in Taoyuan.
The traditional farming tiger people did not have the highly developed civilization and education of the imperial people, and they were slightly dull and rustic. The ancestors of the Tiger People started as scattered tribes and merged with each other to form larger groups, and after half a century of development, the Tiger People gathered in the center of the river valley basin established their first city, the City of Thorns.
As the backbone of the Fusion Tribe, the Amuron family is the largest member of the entire Tiger Tribe. Naturally, they became the leaders and rulers of the Tiger Tribe. In the first centuries, each generation of kings was a mild-mannered, peace-loving leader. Under their leadership, their city doubled in size after half a century of development.
It attracted many new alien species, the Argonians, and also participated in the construction of the city, and settled down in the central city, the City of Thorns, to thrive. The growth of the population brought new business opportunities to the City of Thorns, and they established trade with the ancient empire, allowing the Tigermen's sugar cane and corn to be sold to every city in Skyrim through Whitehorse City, and the frequent transactions exchanged for large amounts of gold coins for them.
The prosperity lasted for more than half a century, until the death of the third king, Pston Amuron, and the succession of the fourth tiger king, Saul Amuron, brought the prosperity of the city of thorns into crisis. The new king thinks that these crocodile-looking wurmites should return to their homeland instead of settling in the land of Hammer all the time. This makes their race seem less pure, and the offspring of the Tiger and Argonian have raised many questions about the dominance of the Amuron family.
Frightened by these rumors, the king issued a purge order to his army to remove or slaughter every alien from their land, in order to strengthen the Amurons' continued control over the Tiger tribe.
The Tiger Army went on a killing spree and skinned their skins to make various leather goods to sell at grocery stores. The poor Argonian were almost wiped out in a year, and those who survived fled their homes to live a wandering life. Today, the city of thorns is still beautiful on the surface, but the royal family and the rulers often do something full of violence and blood.
Standing on a hill not far from the city, looking at the ancient city of its size and architecture, Barbas exclaimed, "Wow, I didn't expect the brutal Thor-Amuron to have such a prosperous city." I thought it was just a small western country, but if you look at the tall castles and palaces, I guess they've been around for hundreds of years. β
"You're right, the ancestors of the Tiger People lived on this land centuries ago. The palaces and castles we see now are the relics left by their ancestors, this country was the glory of their lives, and they dedicated their lives to this country, this city. β
Babas shook his head and sighed like a human being, and said stupidly, "It's a pity that such a beautiful city will be destroyed by war." β
Rex laughed, "You know how to cherish it too?"
With a nonchalant expression, Barbas said, "It doesn't matter if you know how to cherish it or not, I don't think it should be right to sacrifice a country or even an entire race to satisfy the greed of the ruler." β
Rex put away his smile and said, "I admire these views of yours. β
"Is there one?" asked Barbas, "you're not kidding!"
"Not at all, this time it's admiration from the bottom of my heart. β
"Thank you, I'm very happy to have your appreciation. Barbas grinned, "Let's go, let's go to the palace and kill the king, avenge the Black Jewel's parents, and rescue the prince!"
Rex shook his head and said, "No, no, no, the only purpose of our trip is to save people, not to go against the whole country, do you understand!"
Like a deflated balloon, Barbas lazily said, "Okay! β
Rex smiled wryly and said, "Come on, Babas, let's enter the city together." He walked over and led the Nightmare as he prepared to go.
Black Jewel Cataria Ram sat on horseback, looking hesitant. She stammered, "Mr. Rex, are you really going to enter that city?"
Rex saw her strange appearance and understood her worries, so he comforted, "Please come with us in peace, I promise that those tiger people will never hurt you." I swear!"
Cataria glanced at Rex's face before nodding firmly, agreeing to his proposal. They walked along the mighty walls towards the gates of the city.
The entrance to the City of Thorns is guarded by two doors and three towers. The first tower is located at the intersection and is called the Tower of Babel. It is the first line of defense to keep the city safe, and the road near the tower is lined with barricades made of sharpened wooden sticks that are crossed and bundled, which serves as a double protection. But these are not its main functions, and its ultimate function is to be a lookout. Standing on the tower has a good view, so that the guards can observe the movement around the city walls
The second and third towers flanked the main city gate and were known as the Steel Gate. Invading enemies will encounter a counterattack from the guards here. The main city gate is made up of two half-foot-thick wooden planks clamped together with iron rivets, which are solid and heavy. The city gate was an important barrier to the city's security, so four heavily armored soldiers were guarding the gate.
When they crossed the barricades and were about to reach the main city gates.
"Hi stranger, please stop. A soldier wrapped in iron armor shouted at them from afar.
"Hello two generals, we are a fur merchant, this is my niece, and my pet. Rex pointed to the two behind him, and then said, "We're a little tired from passing here, and we want to stop for some food and wine, so please allow us to enter the city, okay?" Rex said with a smile on his face.
The other soldier looked at them carefully, snorted with disdain, and asked, "Do you have the king's permission to enter the city?"
"I'm really sorry, it's my first time in this city, and I didn't know that there are such rules in the Hammer Country. Can you make a special exception for me to come in?" said Rex.
The first soldier frowned and watched them for a while before speaking, "Since you want to enter the city without the king's permission, there is only one way to solve this problem. β
"Tell me what you can do to get us through. Rex asked.
"For thirty gold coins, you can get a chance to enter the city!" said the guard.
"I understand. Rex winked his eyes at the two soldiers, making a look of understanding. At the same time, stuff a money bag full of gold coins into the hand of one of the guards.
Seeing this, another soldier shouted, "Hello, dear friend, you have obtained the privilege of King Sol Amuron and are now free to enter the city, and I wish you a pleasant journey." β
Two soldiers unfastened the locks to the city gates and invited them into the City of Thorns. Stepping through the gates of the city, Rex and his partner stand on the avenue of the block, gazing at the once glorious city that is still thriving today. The first thing that catches your eye is the King's Palace, which sits on the highest point of the city. The palace was the residence of kings and nobles of the top floor, and the baroque architecture is made of huge stones, with a round dome and 20 columns supporting the skeleton of the palace, and the blue glazed tiles of the roof glitter in the sun.
Two statues of tiger warriors with spears in their hands stand in the square in front of the palace, pointing to the sky. On either side of the palace is a long row of delicate balustrades made of white marble with various forms of ornamentation. From the square, you will find the Shield District, where the warriors and generals lived, and this area belonged to the second gradient of the city.
In addition to the ordinary houses of the residents, there are two most notable buildings in the Shield District: the first is the church of Magsta, the god of war, located on the west side of the Shield District. The nave is wide and the vault is full of statues and decorations. There are a number of small irregular prayer rooms around, as well as a living courtyard. The plan and ceiling decoration of the church emphasize the dynamic curve, the façade is disconnected, the eaves are horizontally curved, the wall is very concave and convex, the decoration is rich, and there is a strong light and shadow effect.
The Tigermen of the Hammer Nation are fiercely loyal to the gods they believe in. So every weekend, from kings, generals, dignitaries, to commoners, traders, and thieves, they would go to church to pray for Magsta.
The second building is everyone's favorite entertainment venue, the Thorn Tavern, which is located in the center of the block and is easily accessible on all sides. Outside of work, the tigers always like to spend their time in the tavern, flirting and chatting with interested maids.
Further down from the Yongdun District, you will come to the lowest level of the city, the Plains. Scattered houses line the city's main roads, with shops and inns interspersed among the homes of ordinary residents. A large number of local traders and foreigners traded money in the trading area, and they exchanged corn and sugar cane for many gold coins for travelers.
Rex and Babas roamed the streets of the Plains, but never found the dungeon. "Maybe we guessed wrong, the dungeon of the Falling Hammer Country is not in the Plains at all. Barbas said as if he had come to an understanding.
"Makes sense, and now I think so too. Rex said.
"You say, what are we going to do next? Babbas asked.
"Of course, it's a trip to the tavern to find out, and there's nothing more effective than that, at least we need to know where the dungeon is!"
"That's right. β
