Section 12 Another Soul Eater
Master Halder led the two into the living quarters. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info they walked into the main entrance, and a wide hall appeared in front of them, and a huge black iron ball was suspended in the center of the hall, and the iron ball slowly rotated in the air, as if supported by some invisible force.
They ascended the side spiral staircase to the second floor. The second floor is full of bedrooms, which are connected in patches, and each room has a chandelier hanging from the roof, and candles are lit in the lampstands, and the candlelight illuminates the bed and wooden cabinets.
Helde led them into the second room to the right of the staircase, where Rex was settled and Barbas was in the third. Rex sat on the edge of the bed and rolled up his pants, only to find that the skin on his broken leg and knee had become necrotic and black. The burning pain spread from the wound to the whole body, and every nerve scrambled to transmit the pain signal to the brain.
Rex's face was pale, cold sweat flowed, and his thighs kept shaking. He gritted his teeth, and could see that he was trying to contain the terrible pain.
Barbas assists and brings clean water. Helder examines and cleans torn wounds and broken knees. He took out a scalpel, which was thin and shiny and delicate, like a willow leaf. Halder used a knife to cut off pieces of black, swollen carrion. Soon after, a fist-sized pit was dug out of Rex's front leg.
Barbas brought a large glass of Dragon's Breath, and Rex eagerly took it up and drank it down. Halder applied the brewed potion to his wound and bandaged it with a white cotton cloth. In an instant, the potion worked its magic, and the dull pain gradually disappeared, as if it had never happened at all.
The tense and stiff muscles of his body softened little by little, and Rex closed his eyes comfortably and fell asleep peacefully.
Helde smiled and said, "Look, so he can rest well." ”
"Hmm. Barbas nodded, a look of amusement. Then he said to Held, "Thanks to the Master, you saved him." ”
"You've also had a tiring day, so rest early. Helde said to Barbas.
The two walked out of Rex's room. Helde was about to turn to leave, but Barbas rushed forward and said to him, "Master, I have to report to you about him." ”
Halder stared at the student's face, curious. "Tell me, what's that kid's name?"
"Septin Rex, an elf with a dragon soul. Barbas replied.
"What?" said Held, surprised, "what did you just say he had?"
"Dragon Soul. ”
"Are you sure that kid has the power of a dragon soul?"
"Sure. Babas nodded.
Helde pondered for a while, and then excitedly said to Barbas, "This is extraordinary news, you are here to take care of him." I'm going to find Karlovak Mir and Chavik and tell them there's another Soul Eater. ”
"Master, do you mean there's another Soul Eater in the Abbey?" asked Babas.
"That's right, she arrived before you and should be with Chadwick by now. ”
The night on Mount Hrosga was silent, and the black sky was like a soft cloth, dotted with countless flowers and stars. The blizzard had stopped, and the sky was like a windless lake, calm and without a ripple.
Rex opened his eyes and found that he was the only one in the room. The lamp on the wall was on, and the candles in the lampstand were about to burn dry. The firewood was burning in the fireplace, and the flames baked half of the room warm.
He writhed until the blood flowed and the stiff muscles regained their suppleness. Rex was surprised to find that the broken leg and knee had been restored, and the skin that had undergone surgery was intact. He sat up from his bed full of joy, hungry, and his mind kept on thinking about bread and roasted meat.
He walked over to a table with an unusually smooth table, picked up the bottle and returned to the fireplace, intending to drink the wine as Rex filled himself with it, when suddenly a familiar, faint voice caught his attention, like a familiar old friend, déjà vu. It was too weak for him to clearly tell who was starting from the short sentences and tone of voice.
The more Rex thought about it, the more curious he became, so he put down the wine glass in his hand and followed the trajectory of the sound and walked out of the room. Although the hallway was dimly lit, I was able to intuitively find each step down with precision. He descended the stairs to the first floor, and saw that the hall was pitch black, and the iron ball was still hovering in the center.
The hall was so quiet that you could even hear your own heartbeat. Rex concluded that the person who made the sound was not in the hall.
He turned his gaze to the door, guessing that the voice had gone to the garden outside. He hurried to follow, and the voice came again, and Rex was determined to figure out who was making it.
Rex tiptoed out of the door and stood in the shadows under the eaves.
"Great Sun God Azula, I pray to you. Please keep her safe with selfless love. The voice said silently.
In the moonlight, he saw a feminine woman standing in front of a statue in the courtyard praying. She lowered her head, folded her hands in front of her chest, and whispered. The woman was like a fairy, a goddess, as beautiful as the characters depicted in the pictures. The long hair is flowing and gently dancing in the breeze, and the body is exquisite, slender and well-proportioned, just the right amount of perfection.
Seeing this, Rex was thrilled. I couldn't help but stop and stare at her prey greedily like a beast, not letting go of every moment that happened to her. Don't even care about what she says anymore. Just look at it secretly and appreciate it silently. He hoped in his heart that time could be frozen in this moment, so that the beautiful scene would be preserved forever.
After about half an hour, the woman straightened her back and raised her head, ready to leave the courtyard. Rex acted decisively, intending to get to know the mysterious woman and at least greet her politely.
"Hey, who are you!" Rex shouted from afar.
The woman was startled, like a frightened fawn, and glanced at him sharply, and then sped away along the stone paving of the garden, and disappeared into the thick of the night. Rex hurried after him until he reached the hallway, but found no figure.
He stood melancholy on the path in the middle of the garden, and looked around reluctantly, making sure he could not find the woman
when ready to return to the room. However, when he turned around, he was pleasantly surprised to find a figure walking out from behind the statue.
"Yo, that's funny, so you're hiding here!" Rex said happily.
"It's me, Rex. Have you recovered from your injuries? Oh, that's great. Barbas exclaimed.
Rex was taken aback and looked at the other side in confusion.
"How did you get to the garden?" he said as if accusatory, as if "coming to the garden" meant making a mistake in some sense.
He ignored Papas's question and asked him rhetorically, "When did you come out?"
Confused, Barbas didn't understand why he was asking, and stammered, "I... I got up to pee and saw you sleepwalking down the stairs and followed you to find out what had happened to you. ”
"Did you see a woman?" Rex asked anxiously.
"What did you say?" Barbas opened his eyes, "female... Rex, tell me what you saw. ”
"A beautiful woman, like a fairy. Ah, I was still here. Rex stood in front of the statue and gestured to Babas.
"I guess it's you dazzled, it's just me and you here, what kind of fairy is there. Babas teased him.
"Okay, okay," Rex said in disappointment, "you're going to be blind, but I do." ”
Babas stopped laughing and walked over to him, "It's too late, go back to bed, your leg has just recovered, stop running, you need to rest." ”
Rex walked to the door, looked back at his position, and walked into the door regretfully.
Before breakfast, they were taken to the council hall on the first floor by Master Holder. Before Rex could take a closer look at the levitating orb, he saw an old man and a young girl standing next to the orb and talking. The old man was dressed in the same clothes as Master Held.
"Come, I'll take you to Master Chavik and Master Karlovak Mir, and another Soul Eater with a dragon soul; Helde said as he walked.
The two respectfully followed behind and walked towards the old man and the maiden.
"That Greybeard is Master Chadwick. Barbas whispered.
The two knelt on the ground and saluted Chavik the Greybeard. When they stood up and saw the girl's face, the three of them were stunned.
"Why you?" shouted the three of them in unison.
Babas took two steps back. Rex noticed that Katerina's expression changed from surprise to anger, like a burning flame ready to erupt at any moment.
"Oh hey, it's over. Rex frowned and muttered quietly.
"I want your life. Caterina shouted, leaping like a sturdy wolf, stabbing Barbas in the face with her dagger in her hand. She was so fast that before anyone else could clear, the dagger had already sliced through Barbas's cheek. Suddenly, blood flowed down from the slender wound, staining his face red.
Before Rex's "don't" was over, a brief assault came to an end. Caterina jumped away like a hunting wolf and then jumped again. Ignoring Greybeard's drinking, he ignored it.
"Gross!" Chavik roared. A powerful sound wave pierced Caterina's body, and the dagger instantly came out of her hand and fell to the ground. As if she had lost her will, controlled by some force, she obediently walked back to Chavik's side.
"I told you to stop. Chavik ordered.
Caterina turned her head and stood there stubbornly, full of grievances.
Helde watched as it happened, calm and cold. It was only when she was quiet that he asked why Barbas had happened.
Barbas was ashamed. Rex took the initiative to explain the relationship between the two Greybeards, and told them about Babas's banditry and torture of Katerina's sister at Haggs Tower.
Chadwick is furious, and he curses Babas for dishonoring Graybeard and reprimanding him for being a filthy bastard. And punish him and make him pay for his mistakes.
Rex was terrified, fearing that Chadwick would destroy Barbas. He knelt down and begged for forgiveness from Greybeard, and Barbas followed suit. Helder intervened to stop Chadwick's destruction of Babas, and calmly said, "He should be given a chance to solve it on their own." Shall we bear witness?"
Chavik's emotions were calmed down, and he said briskly, "Okay, this matter will be settled by the two of you, right here." ”
