Maybe cultivating some personnel to perform first aid treatment on the battlefield, the initial teaching of some content is not very complicated. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info but if you want these personnel to play an adequate role, you can't just teach some preliminary bandaging or treatment.
In many cases, a qualified first aid provider will also need to identify the location of the wounded person and whether they can be treated in the form of battlefield first aid.
That is to say, the teaching methods of some battlefield first aid can indeed meet some needs, but more importantly, the assessment methods of personnel in this area have to be defined by strict standards.
At this time, medical workers are often only able to rely on their own experience to treat.
It's not that there is no perfect treatment system at this time, but that many medical workers don't know too many words, and even some people just rely on their own experience from their fathers and brothers to initially learn some of the ability to treat relatively simple injuries and diseases.
Strictly speaking, the treatment methods of these medical workers can hardly be called effective, and it is quite undesirable to use them as healers on the battlefield.
Under such a premise, Zhang Jiashi is troubled by the fact that there are very few real medical workers, and the ability to receive this knowledge and teach others is even more scarce.
Under such a premise, although Zhang Jiashi has a fairly complete plan for the teaching of first aid personnel, due to the problem of teachers, in such two or three years, only about 5,000 battlefield first aid personnel can meet the standard of dispatch.
And the entire Great Qin Empire has a lot of troops, and the personnel who can be apportioned to each unit are very rare. Under such circumstances, Zhang Jiashi could only concentrate more personnel and then let these personnel give full play to their corresponding abilities as much as possible, and would not drag down the efficiency of casualty treatment caused by the army's combat.
After all, there are only three or five people in a unit, and when we compare it with the situation where there are thirty or fifty people in a unit, it is obvious that the efficiency of the latter is even more obvious.
This kind of distribution makes the first responders of many troops equal to zero, and Zhang Jiashi said that he is very helpless in such a situation, because in such a situation. Zhang Jiashi can only concentrate manpower to do more things, instead of sharing the already small number of human resources.
Perhaps this will make some second-line troops unable to obtain the staffing level as a standard line for a long time, but this is also a matter of no choice, Zhang Jiashi can only make a choice of good steel on the blade under such a situation.
......
These more than 5,000 first responders were mainly arranged by Zhang Jiashi in the Central Army and the garrison troops along the Great Wall.
On average, a force of 5,000 officers and soldiers can be equipped with about 1 percent of the number of first responders.
This amount is obviously not enough. But Zhang Jiashi really wants to get more manpower in this area at the moment, but he can't do this.
The use of more monks and less porridge can illustrate this dilemma.
And among the officers and soldiers under Xu Ting. There were exactly fifty or so first responders.
Their main task was to treat the wounded of the Qin army on the battlefield under the premise that the situation was relatively safe.
Some of the wounded were seriously injured, but they were helpless because, according to what they had learned, the injuries were so severe that it was unlikely that they would move each other's bodies like that. It's like if the other party is injured in the bones or even internal organs, such a situation will be placed in the future generations, and experienced people know that it is best for these people not to move at will, because once they move or are moved by other people in an unprofessional way. It only makes the injury worse.
In the teachings of these personnel, Zhang Jiashi naturally made this thing that can also be said to be common sense of first aid.
And the handling of such a situation has also become the focus of learning for first responders.
......
1. Four techniques for the rescue of the war wounded
(1) Trauma hemostasis
The blood of the human body has a certain route, and in order to stop bleeding accurately, it is necessary to grasp the pressure points of the main arteries. The main methods of hemostasis commonly used are as follows:
1. Pressurized bandaging hemostasis. Cover the wound with a first-aid kit or a cushion made of sterile gauze, cotton, or cloth, and then wrap it tightly with a bandage or triangular scarf. It is usually used for bleeding in veins, capillaries, or arterioles.
2. Acupressure hemostasis. Use your fingers or palms to compress the artery proximal to the wound. Blocking blood flow to achieve temporary hemostasis. It is usually used for arterial bleeding in the head, neck and limbs. In the case of bleeding from the top of the head, finger pressure is applied to the superficial temporal artery in front of the ear above the mandibular joint. In facial hemorrhage, the index finger (or thumb) is used to compress the facial artery at the lower border of the ipsilateral mandible, about 3 cm in front of the mandibular angle. Bleeding of the head and neck, compression of the common carotid artery between the ipsilateral sternocleidomastoid muscle with the thumb or other four fingers, it is absolutely forbidden to compress both sides at the same time. Bleeding in the scapula. Use the thumb to compress the subclavian artery in the middle of the ipsilateral supraclavicular fossa. Bleeding from the forearm and upper arm, using the thumb and the other four fingers to compress the brachial artery in the medial sulcus of the upper arm. Bleeding from the hand, use the thumbs of both hands to compress the ulnar and radial arteries slightly above the striated wrists. Bleeding from the lower extremities when the thighs
and below the bleeding, when self-rescue, the thumbs of both hands can be overlapped to compress the femoral artery slightly below the abdominal groove at the upper end of the thigh, and when mutual rescue, the palm can be used to compress. The other hand is pressed against it. In foot hemorrhage, use two fingers or thumbs to compress the dorsalis pedis artery near the ankle in the middle of the foot and the posterior tibial artery between the medial heel and the medial malleolus.
3. Tourniquet hemostasis. It is used for heavy bleeding of the limbs, mainly using the method of tightening and hemostasis. When stopping bleeding, first put a cushion made of cloth or paper roll on the artery proximal to the bleeding wound, and then fold it into a belt with a triangular scarf, or tighten it into a slipknot with a handkerchief and other convenient materials around the limb for 1~2 circles, or insert it with a gun, a pen barrel, and a small wooden stick, and fix it with one lift, two twists and three fixes.
(2) Wound dressing
Wound dressing is used to compress and stop bleeding, protect the wound, prevent infection, and fix dressings and splints. Common materials for bandaging are triangular scarves, bandages, and four-headed bandages. The following is only the most commonly used method of dressing a triangular scarf.
(3) The method of fixation of fractures
1. Upper arm fracture fixation. Place a piece of wood on the outside of the upper arm, fix the upper and lower ends of the fracture with two cloth straps, and then hang the forearm in front of the chest with a triangular scarf or belt. If there is no plank, rubber shoes can be used instead. If you don't have any material, you can use a backpack to attach your upper arm to your chest.
2. Forearm fracture fixation. Use two wooden boards (or sticks, bamboo chips, etc.) to place on the palm of the hand and the back side (if there is only one piece of wood, place it on the back of the hand), fold a handkerchief or towel into a ribbon and tie it to fix, and then hang it on the chest with a triangular scarf or belt.
3. Thigh fracture fixation. A piece of cloth tape with a length equivalent to the length of the injured person's armpit to the heel is fixed to the outside of the injured limb.
4. Calf fracture fixation. Take a plank that is longer than the upper and lower joints and fix it according to the thigh fracture fixation method.
When fixing the fracture, the following points should be noted:
When there is bleeding from the wound, the bleeding should be stopped and bandaged first. Posterior fixation; when the limbs are fractured, they should be fixed from top to bottom, and the fingers (toes) should be exposed during fixation, so that the blood circulation can be observed; the fixation materials should not be directly in contact with the skin, and should be padded with cotton, cloth, etc.; the isolated limbs should be wrapped and closed with the wounded for replantation; the fixation should be tight.
(4) Handling of the wounded:
1. Single-person freehand handling method. Back type, hug type.
2. Double hand-to-hand movement. Chair type, pull cart type.
3. Vertebral fracture transport method. The two men used their hands to prop the wounded person on a single rack on a hard board (or door panel). It is strictly forbidden to hold the head, feet and bend the body to avoid aggravating the injury.
These are some of the simpler first aid methods that Zhang Jiashi learned in later generations.
But after weighing the trade-offs for a long time. Zhang Jiashi was only able to simplify some of the treatment methods, and then fill in with a more realistic situation.
................................................ Dividing line ......................................................
Xia Gao is a native of Shangjun. After Zhang Jiashi obtained the Guanzhong area, he followed his brother Xia Miao south to Guanzhong to make a living.
However, compared to his brother's relatively strong physique, Xia Gao, who looked a little thin, could only work as a bartender in a tavern in the Lantian area after losing the draft.
As for him, he would prefer to follow his brother and serve as a soldier of the Great Qin Empire.
Because the treatment of the officers and soldiers under Zhang Jiashi's command can be regarded as a level of treatment that many poor men are extremely greedy.
It's just that in the past few years, Xia Gao really has no advantage of success in this regard, even after having the relatively stable job of a bartender, Xia Gao's body has been in the past few years. Still a little thin.
But after another conscription notice came out, many people expressed doubts about this somewhat strange conscription document. Because the focus of this conscription document is no longer on the need for relatively strong soldiers, but on the need for a more ingenious man as the basis for selection.
As a result, many peasant men were quite disappointed at that time, because their strength and physique were good, but it was too difficult for them to do some delicate work.
On such a premise. Xia Gao went to apply again, and after testing Xia Gao's potential in this regard, Xia Gao became a reserve first responder.
The reason why it is said to be preparatory naturally means that these personnel still need to pass the training and assessment before they can truly become a staff member.
Of course, although it is said to be a reserve establishment, it is not as good as the salary of the regular army and the corresponding treatment is somewhat worse. The standard of treatment of these personnel is also higher than that of personnel in many industries.
For example, a soldier of the regular army can receive 600 and a half taels a month, while these personnel can receive 450 and a half taels, which is already quite a high salary.
As a full-fledged military first responder, the salary and treatment are the same as those of regular combat units.
Although Zhang Jiashi did not think of making these first aid personnel uniform, Li Xin and others had to oppose such a thing. Because it is really difficult for many people to deal with this problem within the various units of the military, because few of them know how to deal with this problem.
Therefore, after thinking about it for a while, Zhang Jiashi could only unify the establishment of these personnel, and then give the personnel who were dispatched these officers and soldiers the corresponding right to transfer the troops.
......
Xia Gao's talent in this area is indeed very high, as a level can also be said to be quite an excellent first aid, Xia Gao is one of the fifty first aid personnel in their tun, and he holds a senior position.
They were equipped with a suit of leather armor and a scimitar, which were used for their own defense. After all, the battlefield is not what many people think.
In the event of a problem, these first responders have to fight on the front lines as combatants.
Zhang Jiashi certainly didn't want to see such a situation, but he also knew very well that this kind of thing still had to be prepared for a rainy day.
And Xia Gao continued to advance in the front-line troops, while he led his officers and soldiers to constantly treat some injured Qin officers and soldiers.
Although after corresponding training, many first responders will not stage a collective vomiting in this kind of battlefield full of corpses, but it is undeniable that many people really can't adapt to the environment of their first actual battle.
And Xia Gao's face was a little pale, he didn't smell blood, and it wasn't that he hadn't dealt with the corresponding problems, but his corresponding experience in the past was really small compared to the current situation.
There were not only wounded on the battlefield, but also corpses trampled to pieces by horses' hooves, and at the sight of such corpses, some first responders who couldn't help but had to turn their heads and vomit.
If Zhang Jiashi saw such a situation, he didn't know whether he should cry or laugh in the face of such a thing.
But he also knew one thing very well in his heart, that is, people who went to the battlefield for the first time, if they just vomited, it was a relatively normal reaction. The first time he killed someone, it also took a while to accept such a change in his life.
As for Ying Yuexi, who reacted even more poorly, Zhang Jiashi was even almost vomited by the other party......
It can be said that there are some things to be fair, since you can't do it yourself, why should you let others do better?
And even if many veterans saw such a scene, they were more likely to smile knowingly, after all, that's how they came in the first place.
And Xia Gao's expression was also a little subtle, but for him, since he had already stepped onto the battlefield and retreated from here, not to mention himself, even his brother, who was the commander of a certain unit of the Guanzhong Legion, would look down on him.
