During the Han Dynasty, Ba County was called Jiangzhou, which was under the jurisdiction of the Yizhou Thorn History Department. In the first year of Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty (190), Liu Zhang divided Yongning County and governed Jiangzhou. During the Three Kingdoms period, Li Yan of the Shu Han Dynasty built a big city in Jiangzhou. The Jin Dynasty changed Yongning County to Badu County. Jin Huanwen crusaded against Li Shi, and Zhu Lingshi pacified and indulged, all from Jiangzhou to Shu. The Southern Song and Qi dynasties were restored to Ba County, and the county was governed by Jiangzhou. In the fourth year of Emperor Taiqing of Liang Yuan of the Southern Dynasty (550), Xiao Ji, the king of Wuling, placed Chuzhou in Ba County, changed to Bazhou in the seventeenth year of Emperor Wen of Western Wei (551), and changed to Chuzhou in the first year of Emperor Min of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557). During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Ba County was successively a jurisdiction of Jingzhou, Yizhou, Bazhou, and Chuzhou.........
