Chapter 168: Waiting for Death

A few minutes before the arrow feathers were still trembling, Sersi was in a prison sentence. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info he never thought that he would be planted in the hands of a woman, and what is even more humiliating is that all this happened in front of his beloved girl.

The fire was still burning beside him, and the billowing smoke kept rushing to his nose, and he felt that even the bluestone foundation was burning his feet. Suppose the execution ground was a huge oven, and he was undoubtedly the sheep's trotters or bread inside.

"You've seen it all, those guys are crazy, if you want to leave, it's best now!" Sersi muttered, enduring the constant stinging pain in his shoulder.

"You're testing my patience, Sercy!" Alice tightened the dagger, "Don't play tricks! Get your men ready to get the wagon!"

"Stop, Alice!" Wynnie hissed, "you just want to get out of here, don't you?!"

"Leave alive, not a corpse shot through a sieve!" Alice licked her lips that had been dried by the fire, "If you want him to live, you must come with me to meet Lord Wilson!"

"She's not going anywhere, put away your unrealistic delusions!" Selcy snorted, "If you still want to leave alive, now is your last chance!"

"Damn!" Alice said, raising her right arm high.

"No—"

Winnie suddenly fell to her knees, and the spear in her hand fell to the ground, she stared at the sharp blade in Alice's right hand, and pleaded bitterly, "Alice, think of what we have been through, countless times, I have saved you in a desperate situation! Let him go, even for the sake of Namu's sake, or for the sake of the people we grew up together, he is the only man I have ever loved, please!

Sersi closed her eyes and listened to the moving pleading. He suddenly felt that even if his throat was cut by a dagger in the next second, he would not have any regrets in this life.

For the next few seconds, he waited for death in pleasure.

"Let him go, Alice!" Winnie continued, "think about what we've been through, this is the first time I've begged you, Alice!"

The hands, after all, stopped. The sharp tip of the dagger pressed against the back of Sercy's neck again, just a fraction of a second from his swarthy skin.

"I just want to get out of this hellish place alive.....!

"And then?" replied Winnie quickly, "continue to be the cold-blooded assassin who lives forever in the night, dressed in the skin of a nun?" she slowly rose from the ground, "It's time to wake up, darling." Don't you see it these days? We're all pawns, here, here, Nipur, everybody!"

"Shut up!" Alice said in a fierce tone, "Crazy! you must be crazy!"

"You're crazy, Alice!" retorted Winnie, "Wilson has been led by the nose since we accepted this mission, and that's not what he meant to be....."

"Shut up! I'll shut you up!" interrupted Alice hysterically.

"I just want you to see it all!" Winnie roared, "Wilson is no longer the kind-hearted old man he used to be, he has changed, since the group appeared, he has become just like them, cruel, bloodthirsty, and can give up everything for power!" She lowered her head, and when she raised it again, her eyes were full of tears, "Including us, dear, you know in your heart that he said a long time ago that if we were exposed, no one would come to save us....."

"And who are they chasing?" said Sersi abruptly.

"Lord Wilson is just taking advantage of them!" Alice retorted. She then grabbed Sercy's injured shoulder and plunged her sharp nails into his wound, "Shut up! If you ask more, I'll cut off your head at once!"

"Tell me! Winnie!" Sersi yelled despite the threat, "Kenny, who are they chasing, and who did Wilson meet?"

"I don't know who they're chasing, but it's definitely our people. Winnie wiped away her tears, "Half a month ago, Lord Wilson ....."

"Shut up!" Alice let out a dull roar, "Don't say any more!"

"Why not?" Winnie tried to take a step forward, "Isn't it a secret that there are still few people who know about it, my dear, I don't understand, why would he help those guys, what does he get?"

"It's none of your business, Winnie....." Alice's voice fell, "I'll ask you one last time, will you leave with me, or will you watch your beloved man die at my hands?"

Sersi felt the cold thing come up again, directly touching his skin, and he could feel that Alice was not a threat this time.

He looked at the woman he loved, her long black hair was already messy, and the ashes of the flames made her look like a beggar, and he was very distressed, but there was nothing he could do.

Then he turned his head to look at the street, where the street connecting the square was empty.

"Guards, I'm Captain Selcy, Infantry Commander of the Confederates, I command you, stop fighting!" Selsey tried to roar.

The sound echoed through the square, even overpowering the fighting and cheering of the guards, and nearly a hundred guards stopped, looking at each other and suddenly not knowing how to respond.

Previously, they had been ordered to create chaos and fight with their bare hands until the execution ground was empty, no matter what happened.

They carried out this somewhat strange order, but the man in front of them said that he was the commander of the Union infantry regiment, and their captain, Aiden, was long gone.

"Are you deaf?!I'm the infantry commander Selcy! The Guards detachment is part of the infantry regiment!I'm your commander!Get all here, you damn guys!" Selsey raised his roar again.

Nearly 100 guards surrounded the crowd, and there was a very small discussion in the crowd. They had only seen Sersi once, still on a moonlit night, and now standing in front of them was a mummy, wrapped in bandages, and a hostage with a woman holding a dagger to her neck.

"I know, your commander is Lawrence, Lord Kenny said, but now his whereabouts are unknown, keep your eyes open and take a good look, I'm your leader!" Selsi yelled at the guards in the crowd.

"But Captain Aiden said ....."

"Shut up!" Sercy interrupted the timid voice, "Go prepare a carriage as fast as you can!"

"Very well, the commander who led the rebellion of tens of thousands of poor people is back!" Alice said as she patted Sersi on the shoulder as she looked at the departing guard.

"I hope you get out of here alive!" Selsileng snorted, "Also, don't let me catch you again!"

"I'm afraid you'll have to stay with me a little longer, waiting for the ..... out of Nippur"

"Sercy!" !! Winnie suddenly screamed. (To be continued.) )
