Chapter 28 Introduction to Energy Sensation
When Tom passes by the school infirmary and finds a third student with a bleeding nosebleed, he realizes that this may be the result of some kind of magic on the part of the students - the student with the nosebleed ignores the school infirmary, and naturally throws an orange candy into his mouth while bleeding from the nose.
As Tom, who had just entered the wizarding world, was still sighing at the magic of magic in his heart, but Rubelos, who was following Tom, was already not surprised.
It didn't take long for Tom to finish exploring the second floor. He tried to enter the library, but was kicked out by Mrs. Pince, the librarian—
"How many times have I told you, Cooper! No pets are allowed in the library!"
"I'm not your average pet!" muttered Rubelos, taking advantage of the fact that no one was around.
Tom hurriedly touched Rubelos' head as if flattering, in exchange for a roll of his eyes.
There were still a few hours left before class, and Tom thought about it and decided to continue walking to the third floor of the castle.
But the stairs in Hogwarts Castle nearly stumped Tom.
The moving staircase wasn't much of a challenge for Tom. But the staircase that disappeared from time to time almost left Tom in the air.
Fortunately, he reacted in time and jumped over, but his robe was still inevitably caught in the stairs.
"Click, click, click"
Just as Tom tried to pull out his robes, a strange footstep sounded nearby.
It was Professor Moody.
"Hah, see who this is?" Professor Moody's blue eyes rolled wildly.
He struck the stairs with a cane, and his scarred face approached Tom maliciously.
"Evil Death Eater cubs. He whispered.
Students passing by stopped, some standing on the stairs, some leaning on the handrails on the third floor, and some simply looking up from the corridor on the second floor.
Tom was silent.
But Rubelos felt the thick malice emanating from Professor Moody's body, and immediately the hair on his body stood on end, blocking in front of Tom and whispering to Professor Moody.
"It's just a big mutant cat that looks majestic. Why, you Death Eater cub still trying to scare me with it?"
Moody curled the corners of his mouth, and his crazy blue eyes stopped rolling and stared straight at Tom.
The students who were watching the excitement on the third floor saw that the situation was not quite right, and quietly ran away for two.
Tom tensed, and instead of bothering with the corner of his robe, he slid his silver basswood wand into the palm of his hand, watching Moody's every move wary.
This Moody seems to be very unfriendly to the Slytherin students.
At breakfast, he overheard the Slytherin students reminding each other to keep a low profile, saying that the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor had been an Auror, hated Death Eaters, and was suspicious.
However, Tom really didn't expect that he was just visiting the castle to attract Moody's target.
"Let me see what you want to do. The muscles in Moody's face twitched suddenly.
With trembling hands, he untied the kettle around his waist and poured two mouthfuls of water with a "grunt".
Then he hung the kettle back to his waist, holding his cane in one hand and pulling out his wand in the other.
The students, who had been paying attention to the movement here, let out an exclamation, and in the blink of an eye, three or five more ran away.
Tom's mind was thinking wildly—Moody was clearly suspicious and ready to attack. He didn't know what spell he could use to get himself out of trouble without using the Kuro cards.
Moody raised his wand, his dry lips a little peeled: "......"
Tom is ready to defend himself, intending to use the Kuro cards in a spell to make his identity exposed.
The scene fell into the most strange silence for a moment.
In the blink of an eye, Moody suddenly disappeared under everyone's noses.
There was no sound of casting a spell, no movement that suspected to be an apparition, and Moody disappeared silently, not even a single corner of his clothes remained.
All the students' eyes were focused on Tom with a look of horror.
Tom was stunned too.
He hadn't done anything! Judging by the expressions of the witnesses nearby, it was as if he had made Moody disappear.
Kubernetes shrugged his nose and sniffed around where Moody had disappeared.
The staircase behind Tom was gone, but he had forgotten to lift the horns of his robe.
At the top of the staircase on the third floor, the crowd parted, and Professors McGonagall and Snape strode over.
The students rambled to Professor McGonagall what had happened.
Tom still stood blankly as the restored staircase caught the corners of his robe again.
"None of the people are leaving!" Professor McGonagall said solemnly.
The students dispersed in an instant.
Tom recovered from the shock of Moody's disappearance. He saw Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape walking towards him, and hurriedly raised his feet to meet him.
"Shhh
There was a crisp sound of fabric tearing.
Tom felt that his neck was tightly strangled by the robe, and before he felt suffocation, his neck was much lighter.
Professor McGonagall pursed her lips when she saw that Tom was a little panicked. Professor Snape looked at Tom with a blank expression.
Tom quietly moved closer to Korubelos.
"Professor......" he said hesitantly, "I don't know what's going on, Professor Moody was talking to me just now, and suddenly he ......"
Professor McGonagall nodded to Tom reassuringly, but her serious expression indicated the seriousness of the situation.
She walked past Tom and stood where Tom had just stood to scrutinize it.
"There's a very strange fluctuation of magic, but it's not black magic. After a moment, she turned back to Professor Snape.
Professor Snape frowned, "This is obviously not something a fourth-year student like Mr. Cooper can do - maybe we should let Dumbledore find out." ”
Tom and Corubelos looked at each other.
"I think it's time for you to be with your classmates - like Potter, who has always been inseparable from you. ”
Tom nodded immediately and ran in the direction of the Slytherin common room.
The two professors looked at his departing back with solemn expressions.
"Something is not going well. Professor McGonagall was the first to speak, "Is there something wrong with Alastor?"
"It's always right to be cautious. There are always things going on around that kid that are hard to explain—maybe we should pay attention to that kid. Snape's voice was a little dark.
"But you can see his performance in the last few years, he is really a good boy. Professor McGonagall said disapprovingly.
They began to walk towards the principal's office on the eighth floor.
