"I don't think we're going to be able to get to that mountain. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć Ian said as he ate the beef, grabbing a handful of snow and putting it in his mouth, "Girl, didn't you notice? ā
The Messiah's little white hand rested on the candle of the campfire, and the flames burned her face red. She glanced up at the snow-capped mountains, shook her head and said softly, "I don't know why." It may be that we approached the wrong way. ā
"The wrong way to get close?" Ian looked at the dried beef that was left depressed, and then handed it to the Messiah with great reluctance, "Is it possible that you can't use it to go, but you don't have it?" ā
After spending so much time with Ian, the Messiah has developed a habit of ignoring Ian's bad words. She gracefully took the dried beef, carefully tore off a small slice, put it in her mouth and chewed it slowly. Then he returned the dried beef to Ian.
"Why don't you eat more?" Ian asked, "Do you still want to be in shape?"
"Your jokes aren't funny. The Messiah said, "Now there is no other way but to save food, and we don't know how long it will take us to get there." ā
"Even if you eat it this way, you can only eat this beef for two days. Ian took the beef back into the package, "If you don't eat and drink water, you can live for about a week." However, we still have to walk, so let's shorten it to three days, which means that we have about five days to move. ā
"Five days?" the Messiah looked at the ethereal mountains in the distance, not knowing what to think again.
"Also, we don't know our way back. Ian shrugged, "Even if you go back now, you won't necessarily be able to get out." But if you keep going, you won't be able to get out unless you find your brother's team. Oh, that team seems to be gone. ā
Ian remembered the ice sculptures he saw on the first day he entered the snowy mountain, and couldn't help but feel a big headache: "Thinking about it this way, it is almost impossible for us to go out." ā
"You can't get out, and you're still so happy. Messiah glanced at Ian.
"Or you'll make me cry. Ian smiled and said, "Even if you are going to die, you have to laugh, otherwise where will you laugh when you die." ā
This is Ian's father's principle, even if he dies, he must die with a smile. It's a pity that he didn't do it when he died, and I don't know if he will regret it.
The Messiah glanced at Ian meaningfully, "What a strange man you are." ā
With that, the Messiah got up and left the campfire. Looking at the snow-capped mountain with no top in sight from afar, he was silent for a long time, and said softly: "The more difficult it is for us to approach it, the more it shows that it is the World Tree." ā
"Why do you say that?"
"The World Tree is spiritual. The Messiah said, "Some people say that the World Tree is the abode of the gods, the Iliad, and since it is the dwelling place of the gods, then there must be some divine power to a greater or lesser extent." Since there will be divine power, it makes sense that it is difficult to approach. ā
"Miss Messiah, you have a lot of imagination. Ian said angrily, "The divine power has been pulled out, how can that kind of thing really exist, it's too supernatural." ā
Messiah turned his head and looked at Ian with burning eyes: "You don't believe in the supernatural?"
"How can you believe this kind of thing? Ian scratched his head, "Divine power, it's too exaggerated." Even the power of the Dragon Emperor and the power of alchemy are all traceable, and it can be said to be reasonable. But the ethereal divine power, this kind of thing has no reference, how do you tell me to believe it. ā
"But just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean you haven't. The Messiah said, "Just like ordinary people, if you tell them about the power of the Dragon Emperor, do you think they will believe it?"
Ian was silent, remembering that in Black Rock City, the little kid in his belly pocket was holding a small homemade wooden sword, shouting that I was going to slay the dragon and swagger through the city. No one will say anything about him and will smile goodly at him, because no one understands the power of dragons.
But he knew that even if the little boy grew up and wore heavy armor and held a heavy sword, he still couldn't defeat the dragons. Not to mention the Dragon Emperor, it can be said that it is a crushing existence. Ian had seen the Dragon Emperor slaughter, so even if the Dragon Emperor killed his parents, he still had no thoughts of revenge after all these years.
He has experienced the most real fears.
Ian rubbed his temples a little tiredly, "I kind of see what you mean." However, it is still difficult for me to accept that there will be a power that is more terrifying than that of the Dragon Emperor. ā
Messiah nodded lightly: "That's right, whether it is the Dragon Emperor or the god Iliad, they are too distant and powerful for human beings. Humans are really insignificant compared to them. ā
"Mankind believes only in the Divine. Ian said half-jokingly, half-seriously, "But it's useless, God doesn't bless humans." ā
The Messiah's expression was a little complicated: "Maybe it's blessed?"
"Come on. Ian waved his hand, "I'd rather believe in God than in God." If Heaven really exists, how can its followers die so worthless. ā
Ian remembers vividly that his mother was a devout Catholic. Her gaze at the moon was much softer than her gaze at herself. She is a mother who likes to hold Ian late at night and explain that God is kind, and she is a wife who can argue with her beloved husband for a long time for the sake of God.
It was such a devout believer who died so easily in the end, like a beautiful but fragile flower, turned into dust by strong winds. What is even more ironic is that it was the "Eye of Heaven" that the cultists revered, and the Eye of Heaven that they believed in "opened" that night, and watched its followers being slaughtered by the Dragon Emperor.
Ian never believed in heaven again.
"If Heaven would bless humanity, we wouldn't be here, would we?" Ian said this, not noticing a hint of loneliness in the corners of Messiah's eyes.
"Alright, let's hit the road. Ian got up from the snow, patted his butt, stretched and stepped on the campfire, "It's not a problem to stay here, let's find a way to get up that mountain." ā
Messiah nodded, and packed his things as well. Ian looked at the Messiah's face red from the cold, and suddenly became playful, ran over to take advantage of her inattention, and pinched her face again. Then he laughed at the killing eyes of the Messiah, and ran away.
Messiah hesitated, but still followed, for some reason, Ian made such a fuss, and she felt much better.
