3. Mole

And Weizi, Jizi, Bigan, Jiaoqi, etc. are by no means the sages in the mouth of Confucius, but a group of "traitors" who betray the country and the country for personal interests.
The other group was the aristocracy of the Shang Dynasty. 4. The sons of the Warring States
The fourth type of people who smeared Di Xin were the sons of the Warring States. Out of the need to prove their own views, the pre-Qin princes all "went to the old to make theories" ("Xunzi"), and used history to prove their political claims. This is also the reason why the ancient history of China, which was "made layer by layer", was born in the Warring States period. In order to prove the importance of benevolence and righteousness, the example of Emperor Xin's inhumanity and injustice was cited -- no example could be taken for granted like Su Dongpo; in order to prove the importance of Shang Xian and the use of virtuous, he cited the lesson of Emperor Xin who brutalized the loyal people and destroyed the country; in order to prove the death of the country, he created examples of Emperor Xin "cutting off the shin of the dynasty" and "cutting out pregnant women"; in order to prove the role of preventing micro problems and eliminating gradual progress, he made Di Xin "as an elephant chopstick", and so on. Anyway, Di Xin is already a sewage pit, and it is customary for everyone to imagine all kinds of strange crimes on Di Xin, so what's the harm in pouring more sewage, which has created the "thousand years of accumulation" of the Shang King.
These unscrupulous smears against Di Xin have long aroused doubts and refutations from some people of insight. In the extant classics, the first to point this point out clearly was Confucius's famous disciple Zigong. In response to the phenomenon of smearing Di Xin, Zigong pointed out sharply: Di Xin's inadequacy is not as good as it is. It is a gentleman who is evil and is indecent, and all the evil in the world is returned.
