Chapter 009: A Trip to the Jungle
"Ahh
Kenny lets out a scream. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć But in the moment before he landed, Lady Luck seemed to favor him again, and the raft of pine branches and thatch hit first, and he happened to fall on it, and then rolled to the side.
"Knight?!" Old Flynn immediately ran over, "Are you alright?!"
"No..... It's okay. Kenny half-sat up and looked at the broken eaves.
"Hey, look, what you've done?!" cried the white dove with one hand on his hips, pointing to the crooked eaves.
"White dove," Flynn turned his head, "don't do that, he's kind." ā
"But the house is about to collapse!" said the white pigeon.
"Don't worry, I'll fix it!" Kenny assured, rubbing his aching back.
"Knight, you'd better rest for a while. Flynn Sr. picked up Kenny.
"I'm really sorry, I just wanted to ....." Kenny looked at Flynn Sr., his face tense.
"It's okay, I understand what you're thinking. Old Flynn smiled kindly, "Maybe this job is not for you, if you really want to help, why don't you go with me to the mountains to collect medicine." ā
"Picking alchemical herbs?" Kenny said, glancing quietly at the white dove.
"Yes, we have been making a living by selling medicinal herbs. Old Flynn nodded, "If you are here, I can go to the depths of the forest, where there will be more rare medicinal herbs, and the prices will be more expensive than ordinary ones!, but on the other hand, there may be jackals, or even tigers and lions....."
"That's not a problem!" Kenny replied quickly, straightening his back, "Whatever is there, I'll keep you safe!"
After changing into the familiar silver armor, Kenny seemed to be back to the majestic lord again, and he walked out of the wooden house with the black steel sword at his waist, a gentle wind blowing through his beard, and he suddenly had a familiar feeling, as if he had seen this scene somewhere.
"Ahh "Looks like you're a better fit for this outfit. She slipped around Kenny and commented, "This pair of silver armor and swords is a perfect match for you!"
"Really?" Kenny touched his cold breastplate, "I feel like it's a little heavy!"
"I bet you must have been the one who wore this armor, rode a high-haired warhorse, drank wine that counted money, and teased a noble lady!" said the white dove with a mocking smile before him.
"Don't talk nonsense!" said old Flynn frowning and glaring at the white dove, "he must have been a valiant knight who upheld honor and treated the weak well!"
"I hope that the lions and tigers in the depths of the forest will also be kind to the weak!"
"White Dove!!"
"I mean, I hope you come back safely!" she said, and slipped into the cabin.
"Don't mind, knight. Old Flynn turned, "She's not bad-hearted, it's just that the mouth .....," she shrugged, smiling helplessly.
"No, I think she's cute. Kenny smiled unconsciously as he looked at the old closed door.
The sun rises to dispel the dark clouds of last night's storm, and the slender shimmer seems to become a paintbrush, painting the earth with rich white.
Dragon's Blood Forest, Kenny seemed to be thinking about something.
He followed in the footsteps of old Flynn into the depths of the forest, where the scenery was not the same as the edge, where the winding streams stopped, where the winding stone paths gave way to thorn bushes, and the mighty banyan trees and nanmu shaded the clouds, and they crossed the gaps between the trees and the bushes, and the deeper they went, the narrower the moss-spotted path of light and shadow, and finally, the evening seemed to come early.
As Flynn Sr. crouched down to identify the herbs, Kenny leaned against a towering birch, his right hand resting on the hilt of his sword, as if he would pull it out at any moment.
"Hey, see what I've found?" said old Flynn turning his head excitedly, holding a palm-sized five-petal flower in his hand.
"What's that?" Kenny's eyes narrowed.
"Hailig flowers!" exclaimed Old Flynn excitedly, "It is the favorite of alchemists, it has a wide range of uses, the pollen can be directly into the water, it can be made into a hailig medicine without cooking, it can cure all kinds of poisons, the petals can be used as an introduction to the cat's eye potion, it can be eaten directly to brighten the eyes, the flower stems and leaves can cure the cold, and most importantly, such a complete size of a hailig can be sold for a high price of twenty silver coins!"
"Your eyes are so good. Kenny muttered, "I don't think there's anything here but trees and leaves." ā
"That's because you don't recognize them. Old Flynn put the hayrig in the wicker basket, "Go, there may be something better ahead." ā
They walked a little further and stopped in front of a boulder.
"You see, there's a lot of good stuff here, too. Old Flynn took out a dagger from his waist, "This is yellow moss, which generally grows on the wall rocks in the depths of the dense forest, and the medicine is extremely cold, when alchemy was first popularized, wizards thought it was poison, but then someone had a whim, and made it into an antipyretic, and the effect was unexpectedly good!"
"Oh, sorry, I think it's kind of disgusting, kind of like ..... Locust droppings. Kenny smacked his lips as he stared at the scraped powder.
"But it can be sold for a good price. Old Flynn smiled, and continued to rub his dagger against the yellow moss on the edge of the wall.
"Ms. Flynn, your basket looks exquisite. Kenny looked away and turned his gaze to the wicker basket in Flynn Sr. He leaned closer, and saw something sewn into the basket with thin thread, like the coat of arms of some family.
"Really?" said Flynn Sr. shrugged, "I bought it at the Assyrian flea market for twenty copper coins." ā
"It's like something aristocratic. Kenny retracted his head and guessed, "It looks kind of like a scythe." He leaned in to look at it again, then confirmed, "It's a scythe." ā
"Your memory has returned?" said Flynn Sr. stopped what he was doing and turned his head to look at him.
"Hmm....." Kenny frowned, thinking for a moment. "Sorry, I don't think so. He pulled his face down, "I still can't remember what my name is." ā
"Oh, okay. Old Flynn sighed, "Don't worry, it's only a matter of time before it recovers." ā
Kenny craned his neck to look at the sky obscured by foliage, barely letting in a single bit of light, the sound of daggers scraping against rocks lingering in his ears, and he struggled to remember who he was, and everything that had to do with him.
He didn't think of anything until that voice ended.
"Knight, I think we can go back. Flynn Sr. wrapped the gauze used to collect the yellow moss and put it back in the basket.
"Don't you go any further?"
"Today's harvest is very rich, and there are no beasts to harass us, we can collect some more on the way back, I just saw a dragon on the way here, but it is a little far away from us, I am going to-"
"What did you say?" Kenny interrupted, "Dragons don't eat?"
He seemed to remember something.
