Chapter Seventy-Eight: Being Misled
Those were children, and the oldest would not be more than ten years old. Pen~Fun~Pavilion www.biquge.info they pulled a tarpaulin to cover their heads and faces, and their bodies shrunk behind two wooden barrels and shelves taut with animal skins. But now, the tarpaulin that should have covered them had been lifted, and a few little ghosts saw the enemy looking at them with a hideous face, and immediately screamed and jumped out.
Aura saw the children flee straight to the place where the fire was shining, and the one arrow that had been on the string turned into three. I heard the sound of a bowstring tightening nearby, and several arrows flew towards the little ones who were panicking.
The arrows that were aimed at the children were intercepted while they were still in the air, but the sound of the arrows biting each other still startled the little ones. Because the sound is so close, it literally sticks to the scalp, through the bones, and then into the heart and brain.
A cry rang out, and a little boy who had fallen to the ground at the end.
Without thinking, Ora rushed out and stood in front of the imp.
"Get up!" she shouted inwardly, three more arrows in her hand.
Perhaps recovering from the fear of being alone, or perhaps hearing Ola's wordless voice, the little guy got up without waiting to wipe away his tears. His companions did not abandon him, and the children, although still on the run, noticeably slowed down their pace and looked back at him frequently, hoping that he would catch up.
The little one who fell and got up ran towards his companions, while Ora ran backwards and released arrows to help, while raising his hand to point them out the appropriate escape route. The children learned quickly, and after only three fingers, Aura found a pattern in the confusion and began to shake off the enemy and their protectors.
When he could no longer see the imps, Ora suddenly realized that he was in trouble. The silence around was unusual, and there was no half of a figure in sight, but instinct told Aura that the enemy was beside him. She clutched her bow and arrows and stood motionless in the shadows, only to turn back when a gust of wind blew against her. Something darker than a shadow came at her like a wall.
Without thinking, Ora turned around and gave the "man" an arrow, but as soon as the arrow was fired, she knew she was inaccurate. The object of the arrow was nothing more than a cloak, and the owner of the cloak jumped behind her at some point.
Ora elbowed her back and slammed into her back, and the man behind her reacted faster than she could, grabbing her wrist with one hand. Immediately after, the man punched her in the back of the neck.
Aura lost consciousness in the pain, and when she opened her eyes again, she found herself lying on the floor in a room. The house was pitch black, except for a ray of moonlight shining on the ground through a crack in the roof, forming the boundary of the ruined house.
In the darkness, Ola felt that the line seemed to divide the world in two, she was at the eastern end of the world, and at the other end of the world stood another person.
"What a coincidence. Ola thought to herself. She remembered that the first time she met Lirizi, it was also in a dilapidated house, and there was also a beam of light cast on the ground that became a boundary, but it was daylight......
"Are you awake?" said another person in the room.
It was a man's voice, and it sounded familiar. The sound made Ora feel threatened, and she deliberately lay on her stomach, ready to see the situation before deciding what to do.
"You won't pretend to be asleep, or won't you speak?" the man said again.
Ola recognized the voice, and not long ago, the owner of the voice asked her who she was with a scornful smile. So, the person in front of him is Droglis. What does he mean, and where is he?
Aura subconsciously touched her surroundings, and all her weapons were taken away.
Just as she was wondering what to do with Drogris, Drogris suddenly crossed the line and approached her, and Ola rolled over to her feet in a defensive manner, her arms crossed in front of her neck, and she followed with a diagonal kick to the lower abdomen. That kick was easily avoided by Droglis, and his pressed body confined Ora to a tight space where it was difficult to fight back.
Ora's free hand tried to pull out the hunting blade that hung diagonally from his waist, but the hand flickered before it was pinched and pushed behind him. Then, Dragolis took a deep breath close to her ear, and exhaled again, "The same laurel as Laura......"
Listening to her mother's name in a seductive voice, Ola pursed her lips, and the hot and moist breath that sprayed on the side of her face made her back like a thorn. But at such a close distance, she couldn't beat the person in front of her.
"You really can't speak?" Drogris asked again.
Ora nodded.
"It's ironic that the sharp-toothed Lola is mute. ”
Drogris abruptly let go of Ora's grip and took another step back.
"The guy you trust has asked me for a hostage exchange, and I've agreed. But I have a few more words to say to you. ”
Ola frowned, Drogris had something to say to himself, what was he going to say?
"I may be acting harshly, but not out of selfish desires. ”
After a pause, he continued: "The whistle arrow is like a fishbone in this world, we are like a country but not a country, and the land where we live can be said to be both the Golden Forest and the Vitos Federation...... Have you ever thought that one day they will free up their hands to drive us out again? What capital are we going to use to gain the recognition of the world?"
Ola looked at Drogris in a daze, not understanding what the man was trying to say.
"You ruined my hand, kid. But I have to respect the will of the Riich family, but I have to tell you. I am afraid that you have been misled by others by interfering in this matter, and the people who misled you are just trying to satisfy the Golden Grove. Think for yourself! maybe...... We will meet again. ”
Drogris turned and pushed open the door and walked out, and Ola was momentarily confused by the open door. After some time, she heard someone shouting her name all the way to find her, and it turned out that she had not left the village yet.
Aura followed the call to meet her companion, and she saw that the first person to run to her was Dildedo, who had taken her in his arms as soon as he came up.
"You're alive. Dilledo's voice trembled slightly like his body. In addition to the fear of the complete demise of the Riich family, there seems to be a trace of other emotions that dominate his words and deeds.
After a few seconds, Diredo finally realized that he had done something very abrupt. He let go of Ola with some embarrassment, and took a step back to look behind him.
"Damn, where did those guys go?" Diredo muttered.
By this time, the sky was already slightly white. After the baptism of war, the village began to show its true tragic face.
