CHAPTER XX: CATTO 4

"Fool!" said Tracy, who had run to the side of the boat, turning around. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info

Cato was still stunned by the incredible collapse of the Light, and the corpse that ran at the front of him violently threw him to the ground. Deprived of the protection of the Holy Light, the paladin struggled, pushing away the corpse's head with all his might, preventing the mad monster from biting through his neck. More corpses came up and gnawed at Cato's legs, and without the protection of his armor, he would have died.

"!**** **** ......" Tracy cursed endlessly, and he spun around the boat anxiously, stomping his feet in anger. "Save him!" Tracy finally ordered.

Ready to paddle their boats, Oxon and Shazo returned to the beach without thinking and charged, while McGee, who was standing by Tracy's side, took the lead, wielding her sword and slashing into the corpses. The sailors who remained on the Golden Throne quickly lowered another small boat, and four or five people hurried to the beachhead. Conig's musket never stopped, and since firearms couldn't kill the evil wretched ones that had died once, he aimed at their legs, shattering one leg bone with one shot, leaving the disgusting corpses crawling on their stomachs.

Feeling overwhelmed by the untold corpses, Cato shielded his head with the corpse on top of him, allowing the other monsters to tear at his armor. He didn't have the strength to fight back more.

I don't know how long I was bitten, but a cloudy sky suddenly appeared in Gato's vision obscured by the dead body, and then a vicious wolf leaped from the top of the horizon. Ramos burrowed into the crowd of corpses and tore at the corpses around Cato with his sharp teeth, looking even more terrifying than the monsters. McKilly landed his sword and slashed off the head of the corpse that was pressing on Cato's body, and Oxon held out his left hand to Cato as he swept away the monster with his hammer.

"Stand up, man, I haven't fixed the stench in your house yet!" Oxon said with a smile. He was always smiling, drinking, repairing, and fighting.

Cato got up with the help of Oxon, who no longer knew where he had been kicked by the dead at Warhammer. As he looked around, he watched as Root, who usually looked like a sick man, quickly shuttling among the dead bodies, stabbing several heads with a short dagger, and a handyman named Bena, who was usually only responsible for carrying and cleaning, but now wielding a two-yard iron rod to kill.

"Don't look for that rotten hammer, get back to the ship alive, and I'll get you a new one." Oxen dragged Cato by the arm and retreated to the boat, and Francis and Shazzo slowly approached.

"Now, Wendell!" Tracy gestured toward the Golden Throne with her teeth and claws, and the massive magic shield immediately unfurled from the ship, encompassing the crowd on the beach and keeping the corpses out.

As the group fled back to the Golden Throne in a small boat, Wendell unleashed the restrained arcane energy, sending the magic shield into shimmering debris and scattered in the air. Without the magic shield in their way, the corpses began to move towards the Golden Throne again, eventually stopping on the shoreline.

Tracy stood by the railing, looking at the wild bears that had been ruined by the corpses, complaining that the good meal had been ruined. Ramos kept clasping his throat with his furry paws, forcing himself to spit out the carrion he had accidentally swallowed. McGee pulled a rag and wiped his filthy saber. Rout plucked the strings and hummed a pirate ditty celebrating triumph.
