Chapter 079: Empty Eyes
One of the soldiers removed his hand from the hilt of his sword at his waist, unable to determine who the strange man in front of him was, but his instinct kept him from acting rashly, and they were indeed negligent in their duty to keep an eye on Nikon. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć info made a soldier sit down in a chair, covering his hot face, looking up at the stranger in front of him, and he didn't dare to act rashly.
"Pavilion..... Your Excellency, we ....."
"Shut up!" Allen stared at the soldier in front of him, his eyes showing anger, "Commander Taylor asked you to keep an eye on the chief teaching army, but not only to monitor, but you also have an obligation to protect him, and now that there is a problem in the wine, you two are still sitting here drinking as if nothing happened?"
The stranger's words startled the hearts of the two soldiers, one of whom seemed eager to win a chance to explain.
"Pavilion..... Your Excellency, can you hear ....."
"Didn't you hear me when I told you to shut up?" Alan looked a little annoyed, he stretched out his hand to the door of the inn, "Get out there and keep guard!
The soldier who tried to explain was interrupted again, and those words were glared back into his stomach by Alan's fierce eyes, and the two had to walk out of the post house with a disgraced face.
Alan watched the two soldiers leave, and secretly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. He turned to Kenny, who was sitting on the floor, and said to the middle-aged man in a low voice, "Have your servants carry our Legion's Chief Instructor back to his room, now, immediately, immediately." ā
"It is an honor to be at your service. The middle-aged man bowed slightly, casting a color to the two servants beside him, and the two of them immediately picked up Kenny, who was sitting on the ground, and walked to the wooden staircase leading to the second floor.
Alan leaned forward slightly and whispered in the middle-aged man's ear, "I hope this matter will not affect the sincere friendship between the two captains, as you said, Captain Taylor needs Duke Fee's help with something recently, but ....." Alan paused slightly, and changed his words, "After all, this is just the Duchess's brother's inn, if I really burn here, Duke Fellow won't dare to say anything." He put his hand on the middle-aged man's shoulder, his fingertips slowly pressing, "I hate it when people threaten me, remember, this is the first and last time." ā
The middle-aged man felt the power from the hand of the knight in front of him, and his shoulder was pinched and hurt, but he didn't dare to reach out to cover his shoulder blades, let alone let go of the big hands that caused pain, so he had to nod bitterly. Alan let go of his hand, turned to follow the two servants, and walked down the stairs to the upper level of the inn.
As he descended the stairs to the second floor of the inn, he saw two servants carrying Kenny into a room at the end. Alan turned his head to look outside the gate of the inn, where the two slapped-out soldiers stood upright, their faces in a trance, as if they were discussing how to explain their mistakes. Alan smiled and turned to walk towards Kenny's room, just as he took a step, he was stopped by a hand.
"My lord!" the red-haired girl whispered, standing under the doorframe, clutching her snow-white eyes on her chest, "I saw the servant carrying that lackey over just now, did you go on a mission?"
Alan put his arms around the girl's waist and smiled magically again, "I didn't expect you little brain to be more delicate than your face!" he touched the girl's face, "Wait here for me to come back, no matter what sound you hear, tomorrow we will leave for Assyria, or the city of Eli, in short, we will leave this land of right and wrong." ā
"Oh, sir, please don't disobey your knight's honor for my safety! that is more important than your life!" she stood on tiptoe, asking for a kiss.
"Damn, I don't want to leave you anymore, what should I do?" Alan hugged the girl tighter, almost making her almost out of breath.
"I don't want to leave you, but you have a mission. She looked up with difficulty in his arms, "Honorable knight, forgive me for my rudeness, what is your name?"
"Kenny. Alan let go of her.
"What a name! a match for your generosity, and I'm here waiting for your return, Mistress Kenny. ā
She bowed slightly, gave a standard curtsy to the handsome knight, and reluctantly watched as her favorite person left her sight and disappeared at the end of the corridor. She turned and went into the room and leaned against the door, letting her heart pound.
Alan walked to Kenny's room and saw Kenny pinning a thin servant to the bed and choking the man's neck.
"Tell me!!!" Kenny growled indistinctly, a sour piece of stinky cheese in his mouth.
Alan stepped forward and grabbed Kenny's hand, and Kenny let go of the servant and turned his head to glare at Alan fiercely.
"You two go out and close the door. Alan commanded the two minions.
The two servants rushed out of the house in a puff of smoke, and the wooden door was slammed shut.
Alan stood by the bed, and Kenny was only three steps away. The eyes of the companion in front of him were very strange, scattered, wandering, and seemed to be in a trance like drunkenness.
Kenny scratched his forehead, still wearing the silver armor, his red cloak dragging to the floor, his hair and beard as jagged and messy as a pile of withered thatch.
The wind outside the house brought up the white curtains of the window eaves, and at the same time brought the rustle of holly leaves, and Alan opened his mouth first.
"Kenny, what's wrong with you? I'm Alan. ā
The voice is soft, but Kenny doesn't answer. His gaze changed from fierce to confused, from vague to fragile, from fragile to full of pain, he squatted down again with his head in his hands, and his mouth was murmuring, unable to hear what he was muttering.
Alan crouches down, and suddenly Kenny grabs Alan by the neck and pushes him to the ground.
"Tell me!Where is this?!"
The familiar words rang out again, full of anger, Alan was pressed to the ground by his heavy body, a suffocating sensation from his throat to his whole body, he looked at his companion with a fierce look, and just as he wanted to pull away the hand that was holding his neck, Kenny suddenly let go of his hand and sat aside. Once again, a pained expression spread across his face, and he leaned back at the end of the bed and whispered unintelligible questions to himself.
Alan got up from the ground, clutched his neck and gasped for air. The repeated words were like fleeting raindrops that woke Allen, and he blinked, thinking about the words that kept repeating.
"Lord, this is the city of Karta. Alan said with his hands on Kenny's shoulders and looking into his horrified eyes.
"Again, where is this?"
"This is the city of Karta, and you are the lord here. Alan repeated.
The voice echoed through the large room, and time seemed to stand still around it, the wind outside the house had stopped, and the winter leaves no longer rattled. Kenny didn't say anything, just looked at Alan quietly.
Alan also looked at him, his eyes turned from frightened to godless, and there was no light in his deep eyes, like a dark and bottomless abyss. The strange feeling made Alan want to pull away from the end of the star, but Kenny's eyes were like a rope tied to his body, and there was no way to pull away, let alone escape.
