Chapter III: Notice of Death

Before Ola could say anything, Flegg cut to the chase: "The great evil deeds have been corrected on the spot, and some of your companions have paid a lot of price for this elf." Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE怂 ļ½‰ļ½Žļ½†ļ½ā€

Flegg looked at Ola meaningfully and then said word by word: "You should know that the one who made the guards pay the price will not live." ā€

Ola didn't expect the other party to show such sincerity. For a moment, her eyes lost their luster at Fleg's answer, but the loss of concentration lasted only a moment before their blue eyes were clear again.

Ora caught up with Fleg, only this time there was more vigilance in her eyes. Seeing this wary gaze, Flegg laughed again. He suddenly turned back to Gretel, who was next to him, and quipped, "Similar enough to that taro, right?"

Gretel shrugged his shoulders noncommittally, "It doesn't look like a temper. ā€

This inexplicable conversation made Aura fall into a fog, only to hear Flegg say to her in a playful tone: "It seems that you just want to believe your own eyes." It's not easy to fool you. ā€

"But keep in mind. ā€

Fleg's tone suddenly became serious.

"True or not, these people are politically dead. Those who have already benefited will never allow the deception of corpses to happen, and you have been in the white sparrow for a while, and you should understand that political death is almost equivalent to death in the real sense. ā€

Flegg paused for Ora to digest the meaning of his words before continuing, "Now you should believe that I didn't come to you for your friends." ā€

Ola pursed her lips. She had a hunch that the other party was finally going to say what she meant.

"You're wiser than your friends in that you didn't attack the guards directly, and I'm glad you just shot our arrows that day, and you shot the chirp at the end, and what I'm going to tell you ......"

Flegg sighed suddenly.

"The miserable way you look now really makes me lose the appetite to continue. ā€

......

Although the contact with Flegg was only a few minutes, Ola had to admit that the other party was an unusually old negotiator. He succeeded in whetting his appetite, but without revealing his intentions at all, he persuaded himself to the carriage.

The carriage was moving slowly towards the east of the city, and Gretel and Dilledo were still walking with Ola, watching the various villas with private courtyards flicker through the windows, and Aura knew that he had come to a decent people's quarters. According to Fleg, if she didn't put on a decent appearance here, there would be no need for the conversation to continue, and this reason made Ola even more confused about the other party's thoughts. She was a little thankful for Flleg's event, though, because she really needed an environment where she could relax, some food, and medicine to clean and wrap her wounds.

The carriage stopped in front of a house, and Ola jumped out of the carriage with one hand on the door and the other on the wound in the shoulder. When she landed on her feet, she found that her condition seemed worse than the previous moment, and even the slightest bit of sunlight could make her dizzy.

Seeing Ola's crumbling appearance, Dilledo didn't recklessly reach out to help this time, he always kept a safe distance from Ola, thinking that it would not be too late to drag her when the woman really passed out. However, the petite figure was stunned and walked forward step by step, which made Di Ledo somewhat admire. Thinking of the other party's injuries, not eating for two days and going around in the "chicken coop", Diredo couldn't help but wonder if the white sparrows were all a little abnormal.

At this time, Gretel, who was the first to enter the courtyard, had already called open the door, and an older woman wearing a cloak and a long skirt with wide sleeves walked out of the house. After listening to what Gretel said to herself, the surprise in the woman's eyes became a little stronger, but when she turned her head to meet Ora again, she showed a gentle and kind gaze.

"Come in, Ora! Gretel has told me about your situation, you can call me Winnie. ā€

The woman who called herself Winnie walked quickly to Ora's side and grabbed Ora's arm.

"Just call me Winnie, I don't like ......"

As if realizing that she had inadvertently said the wrong thing, Winnie suddenly slapped her mouth, her face flushed slightly with embarrassment.

"Forgive me, I didn't mean to talk about your sore spots, just some of the words were too smooth. ā€

Ora pursed her lips helplessly, an expression that was almost indistinguishable from a kind smile made Winnie's smile even kinder.

"Let's go inside and eat something to warm our stomachs. ā€

She dragged Ola's arm and walked straight into the house, and Aura subconsciously glanced at the two guards who were barely leaving her, but saw that Gretel and Dildedo had no intention of following up, and there was no sign of turning away.

Are they going to just stay outside the door?, Ola wondered. However, Winnie did not notice the doubt in Ora's eyes, and she led Ola into the dining room without saying a word, pressed her to a chair, and after a while, a bowl of warm porridge was placed in front of her.

Looking at the food that Winnie had prepared for herself, and thinking that similar things had always been done for her companions, Ora didn't know what to say, she looked at Winnie, but saw her walking towards the two people outside the house with a basket of bread, so Ora had to look back at the food.

Perhaps because she was too hungry, or because Winnie's cooking skills were too high, Ora cleaned up the entire bowl of porridge before Winnie could return, holding the empty bowl and habitually looking for the location of the sink, before being embarrassed by Winnie's bump.

"What are you going to do?"

Winnie asked, surprised. Seeing Ola make a brushing motion, she smiled and snatched the empty bowl from Ola's hand.

"I don't need your help with this, Flegg asked you to come to me, but I'll take care of you in order. Let's go, let's go!"

With that, she grabbed Ola's arm again and led her upstairs.

By the time Winnie finally spared Ola, Ola had already been led to a full-length mirror. Ola, who had never worn a long skirt, looked into the mirror with some curiosity, and then she was confused by her new appearance, only to see that the fresh colors were wrapped around her body, the flowing skirt hung down to her ankles, and Winnie had specially braided her sideburns...... This makes the person in the mirror look more like a girl from an aristocratic family than herself. Seeing that Winnie had completely cleaned herself up in a different way, Ora couldn't get used to it all at once, but Winnie seemed to be overjoyed. I heard her mutter, "It's great, it's so suitable, it's so good!" and then Winnie slowly sat down in the rocking chair next to her, covering her face and crying.

At that moment, the sound of glass breaking and furniture moving came from downstairs. Aura looked at the door in surprise, and Winnie, who still had tears on her cheeks, stood up in surprise, but before the two could figure out what was going on, there was the sound of scurrying footsteps on the stairs, and Di Ledo slammed into the room and shouted, "Don't go downstairs!" but then he asked, "Who are you?"

Suddenly, something broke the window in the room, and Dildedo instinctively crouched on the ground with his head in his hands, while Ola, who was avoiding to one side, tripped over her long skirt, and she threw Winnie to the ground, only to see an arrow fly over where they had just stood, and firmly nail it to the wall.

"Oh my God!" Winnie covered her mouth and trembled uncontrollably.

Dilledo, who finally recognized Ola, rolled and protected the two women behind him. At this moment, the sound of glass breaking came from downstairs again, and the smell of burning oil wafted up with the sound of shattering.
