Chapter VIII: Frey 5
Located deep in the upper city, the council chamber of Ice's Castle is the only link between the lord's mansion and the city. Pen ~ Fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info Because sunlight cannot reach the interior of the mountain, the entire city must rely on fire for lighting, and the lord's mansion is no exception.
Frey walked briskly along the torch-lit corridor, where he had bandaged his wounds and changed into clean clothes, and rested on a large wooden bed covered with a goose-down blanket.
With a muffled thud, Frey pushed open the heavily carved wooden door and entered the council chamber, where his lieutenant, Idney, the Imperial Capital Guards who had been supported by two Templars to Ice's End, and the minor lords who had sworn allegiance to Ice's Breath were already sitting around the long table waiting for his arrival. The cold air pouring in from the corridor blew the torches hanging high on the walls, causing the orange flames to swing irregularly, casting the erratic shadows of the crowd on the table.
Frey walked straight to the adjutant and punched him in the face. "I'm the commander of the Ice's Rest Army!Only I can give orders to attack or retreat!Remember?" Frey yelled at the adjutant, who spat a mouthful of blood into the ground and nodded slightly.
"Frey, you ......"
"Shut up, Edney," Frey said, turning to the beautiful lady in the robes, "you're just my fiancée, not the mistress of Ice's Breath yet, and it's not your turn to speak here!"
"Pay attention to the tone of your voice, young man. The middle-aged man at the other end of the long table said. He wore polished armor, a red and white cloak, and a long sword adorned with ruby at his waist. Frey glanced at the Dragonclaw Crest on his chest and immediately recognized him as Lord Cassilian of the Red Claw Fortress.
"Since when did even the minor characters of the Frontier Fortress dare to educate the lords of Ice's Breath?" Frey sneered, "Cassian, if you have any objections to my leadership, take your men out of Ice's Breath Castle, there is no shortage of your hundred and ten shrimp soldiers and crab generals." ”
"That's enough!" exclaimed another nobleman dressed as a knight, "Cassilian, I said he was just a stupid boy who didn't dry up, and couldn't carry the burden of Ice's End. Kill him, and we can recommend wiser lords to the imperial capital. ”
"Lord Rodos, how can you, as the lord of Blackfeather Castle, be in the company of Cassilian, and sword against the master you have sworn allegiance to, and don't forget your oath under the witness of the god of light!"
"I swear allegiance to your father, not you!" Rodos drew his sword and was about to slash at Frey.
"I give you the death penalty, shameful oath breaker!" Frey immediately pulled out the cloud pill and slashed off Rodos' sword-wielding arm neatly, then piercing his heart. It happened so suddenly, and by the time the guards at the door rushed into the chamber, there were already several bodies lying on the cold ground.
"My lord, I'm afraid we're going to lose hundreds of troops. Frey's lieutenant whispered a reminder, too frightened by Frey's dehumanizing cruelty to refute it.
Frey ignored the adjutant and walked up to the glazed-eyed Imperial Capital Guard soldier, grabbed him by the collar and said, "Listen, boy. Cato told me what had happened, and it was your duty and duty to avenge Monroe's death because of you. So stop pretending to be sick, and stop talking to me about nonsense you don't know or remember!Get out with me honestly and tear up the bastards out there with your horrific moves!" With that, he dragged Idney into the long corridor where she had passed.
The second annihilation was much later than scheduled, and since the bloody meeting in the Council Chamber, Frey has spent a lot of energy on dealing with civil strife. He hanged several minor nobles who tried to start a rebellion, and sent his descendants to pursue a large number of deserters, barely stabilizing the situation. Sometimes he would complain to Edney at night about the lack of morale, and Edney would not say a word about whether the monster in front of her was the same person as Frey, who had given her a night of warmth and made a vow.
A few days after the first confrontation between the two armies, on an equally snowy night, Frey led two hundred men in a surprise attack on the enemy camp. They lurked in the blizzard from dusk until midnight, and when most of the enemy army fell asleep, they suddenly rained down on the camp. The fire did not spread quickly under the suppression of the wind and snow, but it was still effective in creating panic among the enemy troops. Taking advantage of the panic of the enemy army to put on their equipment and run and shout, Frey's army rushed into the enemy camp with torches and hook axes, and lit fires everywhere and cut down people.
"Juan, where are you, coward, come out and break me off!" Frey shouted as he searched for the black-clad enemy, but to no avail.
"Smack, smack, smack. The clear applause caught Frey's attention, and he followed the sound to see a middle-aged knight emerge from the burning tent with sparks on his body. The middle-aged knight flapped his armor to sweep away the smoke and dust attached to his body, and as soon as he stood firm, the tent behind him collapsed, almost killing him in the fire.
"Nice tactics, I'm starting to get interested in you. It's a pity, though, that a guy as arrogant as Euan would disdain to fight another boring lad like you. ”
"Get out of here!" Frey scolded as he unleashed Unmaru's stunt, the wind slashing into the wreckage of the collapsed tent, and the nearly extinguished flames soared more than two yards high.
"I'm skeptical of what Euan thinks of you. The middle-aged knight said, and he easily moved to his side, allowing the strong wind from Yunmaru to slash against his arm without hurting him in the slightest. "My name is Weiner, and I might have the honor of being your opponent. ”
