Looking up from under the cramped bed, he saw the glittering tip of the sword, and the pair of deerskin boots that trampled on the broken bed, velvet fluttering all around, and the dimly lit room seemed to be snowing.

As the creaky sound approached, he quickly imagined all possibilities in his mind, until the saber was gone, and he couldn't figure out why Mike would suddenly draw his sword against him.

Then, propping himself on his elbows, he squirmed out of the cramped bed, and Sersi had retreated to the window, looking at Mike with his sword in his hands. "Guy..... Man, you're ....." he gave Alan a quick glance, "he's drunk?"

Alan shook his head. His gaze scanned through the flying goose down to find the black steel sword resting on the head of the bed before going to bed. The sword lay five paces away from him, lying flat on the crumbling pile of bedboards, and beside it was Mike's deerskin boots, whose owner stood by the bed like a dead man with blank eyes, like a wax figure with a blank face.

The tower's bells rang tread a full twelve, and the moon rose in mid-air.

Alan pushed open the wooden window with his hands behind his back, the squeaking sound made him a little frightened, as if the originally small sound would alarm something, but when he was sure that Mike's body was still not moving, he twisted his head out of the window slightly.

The cobblestone path below was shaded and dark, but he knew it was only two stories high, with a narrow eaves under the window, and a flat road below. He had jumped over towers much higher than that, and he hadn't broken his leg.

"What to do?" asked Sersi in a voice as thin as a mosquito.

Alan turned his head, quickly raised his hand, pressed his index finger to Sercy's mouth, and then pointed at the pitch black with his other hand.

"Jumping?" Selsey brushed away the finger against his lips, "Damn, you don't care about Mike anymore?"

"He's blindfolded, can't you see?" Alan took a deep breath and jumped lightly onto the windowsill, "Man, let's get out of here first, and then find a way to save him." With that, he touched the eaves below with his feet, and the place where he stepped was actually a little lower than expected, but much more inclined than he had just seen with his eyes.

The fear of falling from the ledge makes his heart pound, but he is even more afraid that Mike will catch up, but he eventually falls to the ground and catches Sersi who jumps right behind.

Suddenly, a shrill laugh pierced the darkness. At first, Alan thought the laughter was coming from Mike overhead, but then he heard a man roaring in a language he didn't understand, which he guessed was Elidu, and as he stared intently at the area where the laughter was coming from, at the limit of his eyesight, he saw a terrifying scene, albeit only two silhouettes.

One of the knights of Eridu, stabbed the head of another knight with his sword, and then the sword pierced into the hard stone wall, nailing the knight to death.

"Don't move! Stand here and don't move! Turn around slowly! Otherwise, I'll cut off your head!!"

Alan was startled by the sudden scream. He turned his head sideways to find Duck pointing his sword at Sersi's eye, the guy covered in blood as if he had just experienced a life-and-death duel.

"Don't get excited, Sir Dark!" Selsey swallowed, pushing his hand through the blindfold, "First, we didn't do anything!Second, my companion has fallen into trouble on your turf!

"How?" said Dark, a wary expression. He reached out to wipe the blood from the corner of his eye, and the tip of the sword still trembled slightly two or three inches away in front of the stranger's eyes.

"That sword never left me. Alan lifted his cloak and raised his hands.

"What did you encounter?" Dark, still alert, moved his sword.

"If it weren't for my insomnia, I'm afraid I'd be dead by now. Alan said expressionlessly, "I hope the blood on your face isn't human, but I just saw your men killing each other, Sir." ”

"Oh, Namu, he didn't lie!" Duck lamented, "There's no time to explain, you two, follow me!"

The two followed Dark's footsteps to the battlements, and Alan guessed he was trying to find a better vantage point to sound the alarm. But there was not much better on the battlements, a pack of wild dogs were tearing at the minced flesh of a corpse, and in the courtyard below, dozens of knights lay on the ground, and if it had been an hour ago, he would have thought that the fellows were just drunk, because of the moonlight, he couldn't see them at all.

A bell suddenly rang behind him, and his voice was short and anxious.

"Two, we need to go back to the main hall, where the knights will gather after the bell!" said Duck patting Allen, who was leaning down.

"No, we'll stay here and don't go anywhere!" Alan turned back and refused, "At least no one comes up here, unless, they still want to kill your men with their own hands!

"Damn, but I've got to figure out how many people are still alive!" Duck snarled angrily.

"Before you tell me, who didn't lie?" said Allen, raising his voice.

"That's what I want to ask!" Darker suddenly drew his sword and pointed at Allen, "What does that guy with a scar on his face have to do with you?"

"Sir, I can't answer your question. Alan stared straight at the tip of the sword with razor-sharp eyes, "If you don't want this tragedy to continue, it's best not to blame us for all this now." Let's not forget, we are also victims. ”

"But he's just like you, searching for the knight and the witch!" Duck exclaimed hysterically, "who the hell is that guy?!!"

"Kenny Dalton, Lord of Nippel. ”

"What about you?"

Alan Dalton, Chancellor of the Exchequer in Nippur. ”

A hint of consternation flashed across Dark's bony face, and he narrowed his eyes, his gaze sweeping back and forth between the two. "Bear Warrior Sercy?" he looked at the silent one-eyed man on the side and opened his mouth, "If so, I've heard of your name. ”

"The whereabouts of the lord are unknown now, and now he is the leader," Sersi looked at Duck and pointed at Allen with his chin, "Tell me, what did that man say to you?"

"Three days ago, a sorcerer with a scar on his face came to me," Duck recalled, "and without saying a word, he confronted me with a knight and woman from Assyria, and I fired at him and had him arrested. Originally, I just wanted to rub his sharpness and teach him a lesson, but the next day the guards came to report, and the man disappeared into the dungeon out of thin air, leaving only a black wizard's robe and a bloody curse on the wall....."
