Chapter 70: The Smoke Lifts
Grandpa was right, in Thunderfall's grandfather's fantasy, the mysterious old man said that fate and reincarnation would start from Thunderfall's grandfather, and then gave the seed of power to Grandpa, but under the domination of a kind of underworld power, the seed went to Thunderfall's mother, and then to Thunderfall's body. In this way, it seems to make sense to explain why Lei Luo's mother is infinitely powerful and agile.
But all the abnormal manifestations of Mother Thunderfall were after the night when the feather aged and became lightning, and the appearance of Thunderfall's power was also after that night, it seems that this seed needs some kind of power to activate. As for his grandfather, he has already completed his mission, so why should Lei Luo pull him into this whirlpool?
Lei Luo sat in a daze on his chair and looked up at the sky, only to find that the sunset had stretched the shadows of everything to the old elders. Before you know it, it's already dusk. Carefully recalling what my grandfather said, I grasped a few key points:
First, the long-necked turtle is a monster of the same species as the winged monster, and the long-necked turtle is unable to move and seems to be trapped by the stone pillar on its back. The winged monster was able to move, and he was looking for food for the long-necked monster everywhere, and the relationship between them was certainly not ordinary.
Second: The two pictures drawn on this broken book should be the flying monster and the long-necked turtle, that is to say, the flying monster is called "Ying Long", and the long-necked turtle is the swagger.
Third: The old man in his grandfather's fantasy realm will definitely not be anyone he knows, because Ying Long said that the old man is also trapped in the round city, and the fate of reincarnation has not yet come to a conclusion, and the old man will not be able to come out. And all the strange people I know are free. That old man has Li Dongyang's notebook, maybe it is Li Dongyang himself.
Fourth: The old man has a key sentence: "After waiting for hundreds of years, it is finally here, when I pass on the seeds of your strength, you take the book and leave here quickly, find the emperor, cut off merit, and save the world." This old man has obviously been waiting for a destined person to be able to enter Yuancheng, and finally waited for General Zhu. It is easy to explain that "looking for the emperor", who is this emperor, obviously has a great relationship with Lei Luo, could it be that it is to cut off jade? "Breaking merit", what is this "merit"? How to break it? In the future, whenever there is something related to "human emperor" and "merit", you must pay special attention. The last sentence "save the world" is easy to understand, it should refer to finding the emperor and cutting off the "merit", you can save the world.
Fifth: There is only half of this book, and there is still some content, Lei Luo naturally has to study it carefully, the key is the other half, the other half that was swallowed into the stomach, what is in it? Is there a more critical content hidden? If everything has its own providence, then this "providence" allows Lei Luo to only get half a broken book, is it also a fateful arrangement? And the old man in the round city said that the half of the broken book in his hand is the key, and it seems that it is also the will of heaven.
The next thing Lei Luo must find out is: what kind of person is Li Dongyang of the Ming Dynasty, what is the record of the "Huailu Tang Collection" about the "Ming Dynasty", and flip through the "History of the Ming Dynasty" part of the "Twenty-four History" to see if there is any information related to "merit" and "human emperor".
The sound of his uncle shouting for dinner interrupted Lei Luo's thoughts, and Lei Luo quickly put the book in a pocket, put it in the inner pocket of his coat, and ate dinner absentmindedly. This dinner was eaten relatively early, because everyone had to rush home, and when it was late, it would be out of sight.
After eating, Boss Lei urged Lei Luo's mother to leave quickly, and it was very easy for the family to be patronized by thieves when she went back late. So as soon as he put down the dishes and chopsticks, Lei Luo's family of three was about to set off. The uncle grabbed Lei Luo, returned the back to Lei Luo, and stuffed Lei Luo with a red envelope. Lei Luo quickly pretended to refuse, shirked it a few times, and accepted it. This is the local custom, the guests sent the New Year's gift can not be fully received, even if it is all received, but also to give the guest a little New Year's gift, this is called "return the gift", if all are received, it will be unlucky. Of course, the red envelope is the New Year's money, and it is not polite to accept it directly, so it is good to symbolically reject it a few times.
The night road was really difficult to walk, and when I got home, it was already dark. Lei Luo said to his parents: "I can read, don't bother me." Dad happily said to Lei Luo: "It's good not to forget to study during the New Year." When you're hungry, shout, your mother will cook noodles for you to eat. ”
After returning to the room and lighting the candle and closing the door, Lei Luo couldn't wait to take out the broken book and compare it with the "Thunder Scroll", the pattern of the monster's head was really the same, not only the shape, but also the size. Sure enough, it's a cycle of fate, and the initiator dug a big hole. Flipping through the notebook signed "Xiya", Lei Luo was eager to learn something from it. By the way, comparing the handwriting of the two books, which are completely different, it can be concluded that "Earthquake Thunder Volume" was definitely not written by Li Dongyang.
In the notebook, the poems and songs recorded, the court Ye Shi Lei Luo could not arouse the slightest interest, quickly browsed the content of the book, and was about to turn the whole book, but suddenly found an important information.
"After reading Qingtian's suicide note, I knew that Qingtian was an extraordinary person, and it was the drama of the dragon in the world. What is the dragon? It seems to be ethereal, but it is actually a real thing. There are scales called dragons, winged dragons, horned dragons, and hornless dragons. The dragon man enters the deep sea, the dragon responds to the southern wilderness, the dragon bears the bear play, and the dragon dragon goes up to the roof beam. Today, I have to meet the dragon, the destiny of heaven, dare to say that on the bank of the Miluo River, the sky is really a human question. ”
It was only now that Lei Luo realized how superficial he was in front of the vast sea of ancient books. Just one "dragon" word, there is so much knowledge in it. I can't imagine that Chinese dragons really have wings, which is very different from the dragons we usually see with carved beams and pillars. This passage introduces the four dragons, and then introduces the encounters of the four dragons, the other dragons Lei Luo didn't care, but was very nervous Ying Long, as if Lei Luo and that Ying Long were already acquainted. It is recorded in the book that "Yinglong is trapped in the southern wilderness", which is different from what my grandfather said, Badaling, Beijing, which is in the north. Could it be that the illusion triggered by the stone wall actually brought my grandfather's thoughts to the south? But when he thought about it, Lei Luo couldn't help but laugh dumbly, since it was an illusion, where could there be any north and south?
This Ying Long is so powerful, how could he be trapped in the Southern Wilderness? Unfortunately, there is no relevant information in the book. And the last sentence of the passage just now becomes the key to solving the mystery. "Dare to say that on the banks of the Miluo River, the heavenly question is really a human question. "Miluo River" and "Tianwen", this is too obvious, these two words directly point to a great ancient man in the pre-Qin period - Qu Yuan. Li Dongyang said that when he met Ying Long, it should be what happened when he prayed for rain as recorded above. But when he saw Ying Long, what did he have to do with Qu Yuan? In "Tianwen", why didn't Li Dongyang mention Qu Yuan's other works, "Nine Chapters", "Nine Songs", and "Lisao", but instead mentioned "Tianwen"? Could it be that the answer is not in Qu Yuan's "Tianwen"?
There is a thunderstorm in "Tianwen", and it is recorded in two books. Follow Yu Lao to the stall to buy books, and occasionally find some good books, one book is called "Chu Ci", and the other is called "Qu Yuan", I have bought it for a few years, but I have never read it seriously, but now it comes in handy, buy more books, read more books, it will always be useful.
Turning to "Tianwen" and reading it carefully, I found that Qu Yuan's image was much taller than Lei Luo's imagination. The impression of Qu Yuan is just a temperamental person who is dissatisfied with the darkness of social reality and commits suicide by throwing himself into the river, but now he finds out that he is so eloquent. Only in "Tianwen", Qu Yuan put forward his own questions and thoughts on the formation of the universe, natural changes, and social changes. In the book, Qu Yuan really mentioned "Ying Long":
"The flood spring is very deep, why is it a hole? Nine rules in the place, how is it a grave? The river and the sea should be long? What is the calendar? What is the camp of the cang? What is the success of Yu?" The seventh word checked the dictionary, only to know that the sound and meaning are the same as the word "fill", no culture, it is really terrible, do not read more books in the future, how can it be worthy of this fantastic encounter. It is commendable, this "Chu Ci" actually has a modern translation, which can make Lei Luo very happy, if Lei Luo is allowed to understand it himself, I don't know what jokes will be made. This passage is to the effect that the flood is like an abyss with no bottom in sight. How can we fill it in? How can we divide the land into nine fertile and barren land? How can Ying Long draw the land with his tail? How can the rivers and seas circulate smoothly? What makes him confused? What does Yu make him successful?
We are all too familiar with the story of "Dayu's water control". And this passage seems to say that in fact, Dayu has been helped by Ying Long to control the water. It was Ying Long who used his tail to make a deep ditch in the ground, allowing the overflowing flood to flow to the sea. What surprised Lei Luo even more was that the book called "Qu Yuan", after the end of Tianwen, many myths and legends were supplemented, most of which were related to the content of "Tianwen", which was regarded as a supplementary explanation of Tianwen. And one of the stories really made Lei Luo feel inexplicably excited. This story has solved many doubts in my heart.
The book records the myths and legends of the ancient period: "The Yellow Emperor fought with Chiyou, the Yellow Emperor harnessed the dragon to animal water, and Chiyou used the power of the wind and rain, the ghost, and the mountain spirits and ghosts to escape the power of wind and rain." The Yellow Emperor is weak, so he asked the female to stop the rain, and with the power of the dragon, he annihilated the dragon. Ying Long was injured, unable to return to the sky, and lived in the southern mountains. When the cang, the flood has been in trouble for several years, the flood is monstrous, the people are not happy, and the cangs can't bear to look at it, which is to steal the "rest" of the emperor of heaven. The Emperor of Heaven was furious and ordered Zhu Rong to kill Kun in the suburbs of Yu. The corpse of the cang, three years does not rot, the emperor is furious, so that the god of heaven makes Wu knife cut it, Huanglong out, that is, Yu. Yu Chengkun is determined to control the water, and he does not enter the house three times, but the flood is still there. Ying Long came back, swallowed half of the water with a sucking force, re-traced the ground with the tail, the rivers appeared, the hundred rivers were established, and the hundred streams ran east to enter the sea, and the water was extinct. ”
It's really surprising, the ferocious winged monster in my grandfather's fantasy world, Ying Long, is actually a hero and hero who helped the Yellow Emperor defeat Chiyou and help Dayu succeed in controlling the water. According to what is said in the book, Ying Long's exploits can be recorded in history, like the emperor and Dayu, he is admired by 10,000 people, and how can he "be trapped in the southern wilderness"? But Lei Luo immediately overturned this idea: First, since Ying Long was a great hero, how could human beings see him injured and ignore it? Second, Ying Long was obviously a divine object, even if he was injured at that time and could not return to heaven, would the injury not be healed? Even if it would not be good, then Ying Long's family would not be able to take him back? The dragon family was so large, and there were so many strange dragons, how could they watch Ying Long "trapped in the Southern Wilderness"? Third, Ying Long in his grandfather's fantasy realm can move freely, but on the contrary, it is the long-necked turtle that can't move trapped under the stone tablet. Could it be that Ying Long is to protect the stump, so he refuses to leave?
The more I think about it, the more messy it becomes, forget it, don't think about it. Now that the matter has already begun, it will come to light sooner or later, so why should I close my door here? Let's continue to read the few remaining articles of the broken book.
Just now, I have already seen the place where Li Dongyang classified dragons: "There are scales called Jiaolong, winged dragons called Ying dragons, horned dragons, and hornless dragons." "The dragon on the wall of the painting we see every day not only has scales, but also dragon horns, so what kind of dragon is this?
Flipping back further, there are records of what happened in the imperial court. In the last part of this half-book, the following passage is recorded:
"Wu Zong is unkind, greedy and lustful, reckless and martial, and the world is sick. The ministers and other officials neglected the disadvantages of Chen's "frolicking and abolishing the government", but the government did not change. The hearts of the people in the world are not ancient, and the west is not as talented as Qingtian, but he resigns and returns to the field to entertain the landscape. December 27 of the seventh year of Shi Zhengde. ”
is a good Li Dongyang, he actually dared to write the sentence "Wu Zong is unkind, greedy and lustful, and reckless in the army" in the book, if it was discovered at the time, this is a big crime to lose his head. It seems that Li Dongyang finally returned to his hometown and died at home. The reason for resigning and going home was that he couldn't get used to the government at that time, but he was powerless to change it. Li Dongyang played a special role in one person: "Qingtian". This person named Qingtian appears twice in this passage, Li Dongyang said that he is not a mortal, but a heavenly dragon descending to earth, just playing the world. This person is eloquent and strategic, and it can be seen that he is definitely a great man. Lei Luo really hated that his stomach was empty, and there was too little ink, so he didn't know who this Qingtian was. Maybe that's another clue.
