Chapter Thirty-Nine: Fly Back to the Land of Landing
The desert is constantly eroding and spreading, the water is disappearing, the ground is drying up, the trees are swaying under the impact of the sandstorm, and the whole forest is in danger of being destroyed.
Why is this happening? Lin quickly figured out why, the original Shining Glade's twisted tree species were different from the Dark Plains, they could prevent the spread and invasion of the desert, while the Dark Plains' twisted trees did not have this ability.
What exactly is the ability? Maybe there was something on the bark that kept the sand and dust out, maybe it had something to do with moss, but Lynn had no idea because they had been burned to ashes by the flames.
The twisted trees of the Dark Plains are resistant to fungi, but they are not immune to the spread of dust.
The outermost layer of the entire twisted jungle, which is also the one facing the desert, is the glittering woodland, and it turns out that there is a reason for this, they will resist the spread and expansion of the desert.
But they've all been burned by fungus and flames, so ......
The Chibucha worm, a small group of organisms, is actually related to the survival of the entire jungle? It's unbelievable......
Now that Lynn can make a huge flying object, maybe it should leave, flee to the depths of the jungle, and then when the sand and dust spread, fly further inward, until there is no way out, then leave the northern continent and find another place to live, maybe some part of the ocean has recovered? Maybe there are other continents?
Lynn wouldn't do that.
Lynn had created flyers and had them fly upstream and downstream, west and east, along the river, to see if there were any living twisted trees. The river has always served as the dividing line between glitter and darkness. Now the phenomenon is even more pronounced.
One side of the river. It was a forest covered with a layer of yellow sand, and on the other side was a charred woodland, and it seemed that the fire had spread quite far, and Lin had been flying for a long time, but there was no living tree.
Why? Are they just dead?
There is a cave in the base of Lynn called the 'Real Yàn Room', which contains a lot of seeds from twisted trees, but also... Grows out?
The tentacles of the eyeball, which Lin was observing in the real room, suddenly noticed that a seed had cracked. Green plants sprout like tentacles.
What's going on? The other seeds didn't look like they were growing, and Lin had been using the light to illuminate them, and Lin suddenly noticed that there was a patch of moss next to the growing seed.
This is the only moss that is resistant to the fungus and survives.
Could it be that a twisted tree needs to have moss nearby to grow? So, they may have formed some kind of mysterious symbiotic relationship with moss.
It's a rather strange relationship, moss doesn't secrete any special liquids, gases, and doesn't touch the seeds. Lin didn't know how the twisted trees sensed the moss's presence, and they didn't have eyes.
After a variety of tests. Lynn confirmed that the twisted tree did only grow where there was moss, and that there was something special about it.
However, there is only a little moss now, and the Plains of Darkness, which used to be full of scattered moss, is now gone.
Presumably due to the effect of fungi, the trees of the Dark Plains are able to resist fungi, but the mosses there are not.
What to do?
Next, Lin kept observing the seed that had grown, and found that it only grew to a certain point and didn't grow, was it really because there were too few mosses?
In this case, more moss must be obtained.
But where is the moss? Do you want to find it in the jungle of the Dark Plains? But even if they do, the number is quite small, or rather......
Lynn remembers one place with quite a bit of moss—a pinnacle forest.
There was a huge amount of moss planted by the Aztec insects, although I don't know if it was the same species, but as far as Lynn remembered, it should be exactly the same, and Lynn used to break down that kind of moss.
That's right, if you go there and get moss, you can restore the glittering woodland in an instant.
The Aztecs may be a threat, but with a huge desert away, Lynn doesn't think they'll be able to catch up, and Lynn won't finish the moss, just a portion of it so they can reproduce quickly.
Judging from the battles that Lin had encountered, the strength of the Aztec Worm should not be as strong as that of the Kibucha Worm, but in order to prevent trouble, Lin still needs a strong army.
It will take too long to walk through, so it's time to fly the class.
Lynn quickly began to move, and the ground forces that had been used to attack the Chibucha Worm began to reassemble, and on the ground, Lin needed to build a huge transformation pod to prepare for shaping an air force to go to the Pinnacle Forest.
It takes a long time to build this, Lin first decomposes the organisms and then transports the nutrients together, originally the construction site in the forest was not big enough, if you go too far to build on the desert, it will be very troublesome to transport water, but now that the glitter forest has been burned, Lin can have enough open space to build something of this scale.
Actually, it's not very big.
The Modification Chambers are three sac-like objects fifty meters long and ten meters high, filled with liquid, modifying living beings.
When the head worm first saw the sacs, Lynn noticed that it had a new feeling: 'surprised', and Lynn later discovered that it was not surprised by the size of the sacs, but by Lynn's ability to combine troops at will.
After that, it always lay on the periphery of the base to watch the changes in these sacs, and also tried to ask Lin some questions, but although Lin could communicate with it, Lin didn't know how to tell it about some details, so the head worm planned to observe it himself.
Large-scale biological modification takes a long time. During this time, Lin sent some troops to explore the ruins of the Chibucha Bugs, but unfortunately there were no useful finds, and the bugs really disappeared completely.
After thirty days and nights, the transformation was finally completed, and a large number of new classes were created, most of them with new forms and equipped with wings or huge air sacs, because floating in the air is very similar to floating in water, so their form is relatively similar to that of aquatic creatures.
Lynn wondered what kind of social creature the Aztec was, whether it was a large taxonomy like the Inca swarm, or if it was only a handful of species. Are they smart? Will they take revenge? How strong are they? Lynn has done little research on this creature.
So you need to be prepared.
As the airbags cracked, a large number of flying creatures flew out of them, and they rose high into the scorched woodland, and there really seemed to be no problems in the first phase of flight testing.
Most of the units are not large, but some of them are extremely large, just like the giant jellyfish that Lin encountered before, their task is generally to transport, and Lin has also prepared ground troops to avoid problems with the flying troops from time to time.
This new unit has now begun to make its way to the Pinnacle Forest. (To be continued.) )
