Chapter 19: The Beautiful Side of the Plague

Monte II looked curiously at these beetles in the water......

They are about five centimeters long, their armor is as clear as crystals, and they glow like stars in their carapaces, and they swim around in the water, collecting some of the silk threads that glow in the water.

Monte II was most concerned about whether this could be eaten or not.

In the past, it had other troops to 'test the poison', and its army used to sweep through all of them like a storm, but now it has become more timid, and if it dies, the entire Aztec worm will be extinct, and they have no other race.

Monte II hesitated when the little glowing beetles in the water noticed it, and as if startled, they swam and fled deeper into the water.

After watching it for a while, Monte II decided to leave.

It tried to find other food in the glowing mushroom jungle, perhaps some normal food.

In the middle of the jungle, it flew slowly, and the more it went, the more creatures grew, and in front of Monte II, there was a large group of floating creatures that looked like fish, but could swim in the air, and on the ground covered with glowing velvet, there was a group of small creatures, which looked like small larvae, but moved very fast.

These creatures all have the same characteristics, they have star-like points of light on their bodies, and the positions of these points of light are arranged on them very regularly, and although the points of light of each creature are in different positions, they all emit the same blue light.

It's amazing.

Monte II's brain recorded information about all of its ancestors, but none of them had ever seen a creature or jungle like this.

"Bang!"

Suddenly. Monte II heard a strange sound. Right in the middle of the jungle ahead. But it doesn't really want to get past it.

Curiosity is necessary, but fear is also important, and Monte II struggled to choose between the two, and it took him a second to finally decide...... Check it out!

It quickens its wings and flies past a swarm of fluorescent jellyfish and through several giant mushrooms, chasing sounds. It came to a peculiar place.

It was a glade, and all the velvet on the ground was facing one direction - on a ball in the center of the clearing.

This sphere is white, it has a diameter of about five meters, quite huge, all the silk threads are connected to this white sphere, and this sphere is still expanding and getting bigger, and when it swells to a certain extent, it bursts with a 'bang', and many white pompoms with a diameter of about one meter fly out of it, and these pompoms fly high into the air with the impact of the explosion. Then drift away with the wind into the distance.

Did the pom-pom you saw fly from here? They seem to be connected to the jungle.

While pom-poms feel dangerous, the jungle here doesn't feel dangerous at all.

Monte II found it strange. Next, it found a number of similar giant bulbous structures in the nearby jungle, which swelled up, exploded, and then released a large number of pompoms, which drifted out of the island and flew away from the island in the sea breeze.

Monte II didn't really care where they would go, he didn't go too far into the island, but returned to the beach, where he was already planning to grow his race.

Monte II dug in the sand with his arthropods, digging a hole large enough to fit himself into, and laid three eggs into it, which he buried in sand.

Next, Monte II searched for food near the beach, and he was only reassured by the food he had seen, and he dug up many shellfish hiding in the sand and gravel along the beach, as well as some snails and arthropods, and the food here looked abundant.

Monte II crushed these things with his forelimbs and ate them, except for some of them for himself, and some of them were kept in his body.

In this way, Monte II settled here, digging caves under the sandy beach during the day, and at night he came out in search of marine food, and in addition to digging shellfish in the sand, he also went into the water to catch some fish in the shallow waters.

It doesn't eat that much of its own food, and if it does, it mixes it with a special antibacterial liquid and puts it in the burrow, and it lays more eggs.

Although as a brain, it can also live independently.

Of course, it doesn't like to live independently, so it looks forward to the moment when the community recovers.

After a few days and nights, the first eggs laid by Monte II began to hatch, and they were not adults, but a white worm-like larvae with sharp jaws, but slow enough to be used in combat, but they could be used to secrete a type of mucus that strengthened the structure of the cave.

At the same time, they can also be used to dig deep burrows, at which point the larvae need to eat the food prepared for them by Monte II before they slowly grow.

After a few days and nights, more eggs hatched, and Monte II needed to catch more food, although it was a bit of a struggle, but he calculated the number of larvae that it could withstand in its own catching capacity, so it did not lay too many eggs, and slowly, some of the longer larvae began to wrap themselves in a kind of silk thread, and they began to transform into the shape of worms inside.

This process takes only two days and nights, and the adult worm digs through the silk thread that wraps around itself and burrows out of it.

Although they are all small species, Monte II finally has his own troops!

It allowed the first three adults to dig shellfish during the night to get more food, and recently Monte II found a large number of small marine worms in an area of the beach, and the Monte II population began to explode with a large amount of food, and it produced more eggs, and laid some eggs of large species and flying species, and when the opportunity was ripe, Monte II also planned to make a deep sand bus, so that it could be invincible on the island.

Be invincible?

Monte II is still unclear about the status of the island and cannot be conclusive.

When there were more than ten of them, Monte II let a few adults into the jungle and had them try to devour some mushrooms.

After eating the mushrooms, the adults didn't seem to have any problems, and they were able to digest the mushrooms lightly.

After this, Monte II began to send his troops to eat mushrooms, and the lair on the beach was ready to be transferred to the forest.

But just as it walked into the forest with its troops, eggs, and larvae, it found a large group of creatures surrounding it......

It was a small beetle that Monte II had seen before. (To be continued......)
