It may be the oldest place on the continent, but not necessarily.

Lynn had also found the bones of a white dragon and the skeleton of a wyvern in the past, which could be considered to be the scene when they were attacked by the fungus, which Lin didn't think was a plague fungus, but they were very similar, or it is possible that they are a variant......

Moreover, there are no traces of the White Skeleton Dragon living and establishing a city here, which shows that the Island White Skeleton Dragon should not have lived here.

Generally speaking, stone things can be preserved for a long time, even if they are wooden, they can be retained for a long time in this salt environment.

But there are no traces of those here...... Some are just fossils and corpses. So, Lynn's main investigation now is why the fungus here is 'petrified'.

And, why do these fungi pop up all of a sudden, and is there any reason for that? Lynn did some more research on the structure of the fungus dust, and found that they were indeed simpler than the dust of the plague fungus, and there were not many complicated things in it, but they also had the function of parasitic growth.

Lynn argues that these fungi can probably be called 'primitive species', i.e. that the plague fungi that followed them evolved.

But why did this 'primitive species' emerge in the near future? Lynn thought of the possibility that there was something about the origin of the plague fungus.

They may not be sea creatures. Nor did it come out of somewhere else, the birthplace of the plague fungus...... Maybe right here!

Later there may be various reasons. The plague fungus only left the continent and then entered the sea, and then produced a brain-like 'army', under the command of the brain, they were more terrifying and powerful, but they were severely damaged by the special attack methods of the Yate race, and were finally exterminated by Lynn.

In fact, they are not completely extinct yet, because Lynn still has a little bit of fungus dust left, and they only need some nutrients before they will explode again!

Although that's probably not likely.

The process from primitive fungus to the latest appearance is a complete mystery, and apparently the 'primitive' is still on this continent.

This needs to be studied, so Lynn's diggers have dug deeper into the ground, much deeper than Lynn and Tucker had reached before, and here, there is one that resembles the above...... White caves.

In fact, the underground is full of caves, and although the caves are shaped like they have formed themselves, Lynn feels like they were dug by some creature.

There are also many fossils of fungi here.

The Abyssal Diggers slowly made their way through the cavern, their own bright light illuminating the walls of the caves, which were littered with protruding fungal fossils, but unlike the fossils with various mushrooms on them, they were pure mycelial fossils, which covered the ground and around it like a carpet.

The diggers eventually converged on a place that Lynn had recently excavated, and it was here that Lynn found a ...... Wood.

It should be said that it is the root system of a plant.

This root is more than a meter in diameter and more than five meters long, and it looks like it has been broken, not to mention why it appears so deep underground, and the most important thing is that it is still alive.

The plant's body is surrounded by a wood-like shell that resembles a woody shell in this dry and waterless underground, but this layer of wood is stronger and sealed than the bark of ordinary plants, which makes it difficult for the energy inside to leak out.

Although it is said that the abyss-digger will be able to penetrate it with a poke.

After releasing into the small class, Lynn discovered that the cells in the plant's root system were in a state of slumber, allowing its cells to live in it for a long time, possibly for thousands of years or more, similar to a creature called a 'bear bug', which is good at putting cells into a deep sleep.

However, Lynn found not only cells in its body, but also many multicellular organisms sleeping in the transmission pipes.

This multicellular organism is a multicellular creature called a 'sword flea', which looks very much like a 'flea', but it is very small, and there are also such creatures in another plant called 'Dumesa tree', are they the same kind?

But looking at the other structures, it is very different from the 'Dumesha tree', although this thing looks like a plant, it actually has a strange structure inside, and there are some small sacs between the transport tubes in its body, which Lynn believes can contract and then transport fluid, performing a heart-like function, but there are also small sacs located on both sides of the pipes...... It's full of viruses.

Lynn hadn't seen this virus yet, they looked like they were deliberately stored here, there was a sturdy structure around the small sac, which seemed to be used to prevent the virus from leaking, it was not known what the effect of this virus was, maybe it was dangerous?

In addition to the virus, there are also small sacs full of eggs, which are supposed to be the eggs of sword fleas, which is not surprising.

Lin also discovered that there were some unidentified thread-like structures in the plant, and she didn't know what it was used for.

I don't know how to wake it up, this plant is just a broken part, there is no complete structure, there should be something else nearby......

Lynn looked around and told the Digger to continue digging, but another Abyssal Digger had brought a special creature, the Salt Maw Jade that Lin had caught in the cave above.

Lin wanted to try what effect the virus had, but it didn't make much sense for Lin to use her own cells, because the structure inside Lin's cells was actually a little different from ordinary organisms, which Lin found when she was implementing various viruses, and usually viruses could only cause basic damage to Lin, that is, to enter the cell and use the cell to reproduce.

The ingredients inside are somewhat like the 'petrified venom' of the Dumesha tree, which hardens the muscles of living beings.

And it has another kind of sac that holds some ...... in it Fungus dust? This dust is exactly the same as the dust from these fossil fungi outside!

Sure enough, do these fossils have anything to do with this plant? …… But where is its ontology?

Maybe it shouldn't be just here, there are other suspicious sites that can be excavated, such as on the outskirts of the rift.

There used to be a lot of white dragon wreckage there, and there should be something to be found there.
