The irregularly shaped crystals were built on the ground, most of them were one to two meters high, and some were more than ten meters high, almost touching the ice wall at the top, and each crystal was connected to each other as if it were a pipe, and a large number of ancient squid shuttled back and forth in the pipe, which reminded Lin of the Chibucha worm.

They also 'planted' a plant on the crystals...... No, it must be a creature like a sea anemone, which is about the size of an ancient squid, and they emit a faint glow that makes the whole city under the ice sparkle.

The 'Crystallized City' was built near the rift valley and stretched for several kilometers, which is quite large for a creature that is only ten centimeters long.

And their main source of life is in the rift, the water in this rift valley is very warm, it can even be said that it is relatively hot, and the ice here is thinner than other places, there are no ancient squid living in the rift, but they have made a lot of pipes, which lead to the bottom of the rift.

Lynn was curious about their habits, and did some research on them during the time the Ark was reshaped.

During Lynn's observations, it was found that these ancient squid mainly used two types of crystals, the first of which could be insulated, which was their main building material. The ancient squid shattered the crystals. Something is secreted to bind them together. These crystals were massively bonded together to form a city here.

The second kind of crystallization seems to absorb heat, in fact, the inner layers of the pipes that connect each crystallized building are made by this crystallization, and these pipes eventually extend a lot to the bottom of the rift, and the meaning of these pipes is to let the heat in the rift flow into the crystalline building above, but they don't do this, they also throw a large number of crystals to the bottom of the rift, and then take them up when they have absorbed enough heat.

It's a wonderful gesture that keeps the whole city in a warm environment. So they also built towns along the Rift, but they couldn't expand outward, the crystallized city seemed to have been established for a long time, and further away from the rift, Lynn could see some traces of the building......

Perhaps the ancient squid was more widespread in the first place, but most of them died when it suddenly cooled, and those who were alive gathered near the rift valley.

The 'heat pipes' between the buildings are supposed to have been built recently, and they seem to have a lot of intelligence.

The crystals seemed to have been dug out of the ground, and Lynn remembered that there should have been no crystals here, but she didn't seem to pay much attention to them at the time......

And the habits of this group of ancient squid surprised Lin a little. Even though they gather in large colonies, they get along well with each other. They also rely on color-changing communication and do not use anything else, but most importantly they trust their own kind.

Ancient squid does not appear to be distrustful or hostile to each other, which means that they do not steal or cheat, and they do not buy or sell things with each other, but use a fair distribution similar to that of the squidrel.

Lynn discovers that there is a leader among them, and the role of the leader is currently only found to be in charge of distributing things, but it does not take the opportunity to distribute more to itself, that is, there is no selfishness.

As long as there is no such phenomenon in the beginning, there will be no subsequent deception and disputes.

Isn't that amazing...... Lin thought that if the personality creature continued to develop and was not 'taught', it would become like a white skeleton dragon or an emerald dragon.

But it's not certain, after all, ancient squid come from ammonites and other creatures, they are very different from dinosaurs, and it is not strange that they have developed a special life character, but I don't know if they are related to the group of ancient squid that Lin observed at the beginning.

The group of ancient squid of war seen at sea before should be two different races, although there is no 'infighting' among them, but there is still war between their kind.

The ancient squid here usually eats from the surrounding creatures that have frozen, as well as the anemones, who Lin found sometimes break their tentacles to eat, and then feed the anemones with their own excrement.

It's a very ordinary symbiotic relationship, like a planted plant......

However, after the surrounding creatures are eaten, their survival is difficult to determine, and they are not the only creatures that survive, some creatures will compete with them for food and even attack them.

Now, at the edge of the city, Lynn has spotted a creature, the kind seen on land...... Crystalline trilobites.

The trilobites I saw on land before may have dug up the ice and ran out, but ...... That one seems to have traveled too far, does the trilobite have this ability?

With a length of more than 30 centimeters, it is like a monster to the ancient squid, and the trilobite tries to dig up the crystallized structure of the ancient squid, and the ancient squid quickly defends and counterattacks.

Although the ancient squid were able to create complex crystalline structures and piping systems, their weapons were simple, using sharp stone flakes or shell fragments to puncture the joints of the trilobites, which seemed to run away in pain after multiple attacks.

And this group of ancient squid is still in hot pursuit, they keep attacking the trilobite, trying to drive it farther away, but when attacking, some ancient squid are also caught and torn apart by the trilobite.

However, the squid's frenzied attack also worked, and the trilobite finally collapsed on the seabed due to the damage to its joints, which made it difficult to move......

But it's not a seabed.

The ancient squids are constantly conjuring up bright colors to celebrate their victory, and they all seem to have learned an ability to emit light, which Lynn discovers is due to some kind of fungus on their skin.

Then they called for more ancient squid, and then tried to eat the trilobite, and Lynn found that they all seemed to bring some small pieces of crystals to keep warm, after all, they have ten tentacles, and it is much easier to hold things, they get the meat off at the joints, and then quickly bring it back, because the heat does not last long, they need to move quickly, they may have lived like this recently.

Although the ancient squid seem to live well here, they also face a lot of problems, sooner or later they will run out of food, food is too far away to get food elsewhere in the rift, and oxygen here is also a problem.
