Chapter 5 I Heard That a Messenger Is an Owl?
"The 'wind' card?" asked Tom.
Rubelos nodded: "These Kuro cards are a small number of cards with peaceful personalities, and it's a coincidence that they can be put together." β
Tom raised his wand and pointed it at the tree, and an intricate array of magic formed beneath his feet, radiating dazzling light.
With a concise and clear "seal", Tom had three more cards in his hand, each with its own style.
The "Wind" card is still Tom's impression.
The "Tree" card is the appearance of a gentle woman covered in leaves, and even if it is a card now, you can feel its vigorous vitality.
The "Rain" card is very similar to the "Cloud" card just obtained, both of which are the images of little naughty children.
It's just that the "cloud" card has a cloud mark on its forehead, and its clothes are full of cloud elements. The "rain" card has the mark of water droplets on its forehead, and the clothes it wears are full of elements of water droplets.
Tom took the "water" card out of his pocket and looked at it carefully.
With a few different Kuro cards put together, it was clear to him that the different cards had different personalities.
Cards with unique personalities...... Are they really just magically created cards?
Tom had this question in his heart.
"What a great day today!" exclaimed Hubelos, cheerfully, "Let's celebrate!"
It couldn't wait to return to the small pavilion and continued to sweep the desserts on the table.
Tom also came to the pavilion and showed the newly collected Kuro cards to a curious Cynthia.
"So that cloud is such a lovely child!" Cynthia pulled Marcus happily, "Look at this puffy dress on hers, if she were wearing it on Tom......"
Tom shuddered, rubbed the goosebumps off his arm, and changed the subject: "Tomorrow is Mom and I's birthday, do you have any special ideas?"
"I've always had only one thought, Tom. Cynthia smiled and said, "Maybe you're willing to fulfill your mother's wish this year?"
Oh no!
Tom was annoyed.
He thought he would succeed in changing the subject, but he forgot that Cynthia's annual wish was to have Tom dress up as a girl for a month to make up for the regret that she loved her daughter but gave birth to a son.
"I think it's time for me to send the invitation to the birthday party!" Tom jumped to his feet, put away the Kuro cards on the table, and ran back to the house.
Marcus looked at his son who was running away in a hurry, raised his hand and pinched Cynthia's nose: "You, don't make Tom anxious one day." β
Cynthia wrinkled mischievously and leaned into her husband's arms: "Tom is so cute, but he always has to be like a little adult." Children should also have the liveliness of children!"
The impossibly young mother looks like a delicate teenage girl at this time, and Marcus can't help but steal a kiss.
June 10 is a special day for the Coopersβin every sense of the word.
At eight o'clock in the morning, Tom was woken up by Korubelos. When he went downstairs for breakfast in his pajamas, Marcus and Cynthia were already sitting at the table waiting for him.
Rubelos retrieved a newspaper and a thick stack of letters from his mailbox.
It skillfully tossed the newspaper to Marcus, then divided the letter by recipient, and handed it to Marcus, Cynthia, and Tom before sitting down next to Tom and eating his breakfast.
Tom took the bread in his mouth and opened the letter on the top.
This is a reply from his good friend Carl. In the letter, Carl said he would arrive on time today for Tom's birthday party.
Tom smiled happily and picked up the second letter.
The letter was different from what he usually received.
The envelope is a traditional parchment with a very special badge on it.
Tom glanced at the recipient quickly, and his name was indeed written on the envelope.
He opened it as he guessed which friend had sent it.
The envelope contained the same parchment.
Tom unfolded curiously.
"Mom?" Tom looked up at Cynthia with the parchment, "Did you enroll me in any strange school?"
Cynthia's eyebrows almost reached her hairline: "No, my baby." β
She noticed the parchment in Tom's hand.
"What did you receive?" asked Marcus.
"A letter with strange contents. Tom frowned and glanced at the contents of the parchment, "Is there a school in this world called 'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry'?"
But Rubelos turned his head in shock: "What!
Tom flipped through the parchment and handed it to Marcus across from him.
But Rubellos hurried over and read the letter together.
"The letter said that I had been accepted into the school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and that my owl would report to the school today. Tom had a complicated look on his face, "There's a list of books attached to it, it looks like that." β
Owl?
But Rubelos sensitively caught the keyword, his eyes flickering.
Marcus and Cynthia looked at each other and asked Tom, "What do you think?"
Tom spread his hands: "If it had been a few days ago, I would have been sure it was a prank, but now-"
He glanced at Chromeulos, and the meaning was self-evident.
But Rubelos pretended to cough: "Ahem...... Actually, when I first got the letter, I did see an owl. β
"Okay. Tom said, "Hopefully the owl hasn't left." We can ask what it was β I remember that after the summer break, the middle school I was going to wasn't called that. β
He ran back to his room, found the letterhead, hurriedly wrote down what he wanted to ask, and sealed it in an envelope.
Then Tom called out to Korubelos and went to the mailbox together.
Sure enough, there was an owl standing on the mailbox.
As soon as the owl saw Tom enter, he flapped his wings a few times, and looked like he wanted to leave. But it was clear that it held back, just standing in place trembling.
"I'm kind of convinced that the school of magic exists. "It's the first time I've ever been so close to an animal β I've seen animals before that haven't even come close to me and run away." β
But Rubellos squatted down obediently and watched Tom tie the letter to the owl's feet.
The owl couldn't wait to flutter its wings and fly away.
But Rubelos always felt that this magical owl, which could only fly in the daytime, looked like it was fleeing in a hurry.
Tom came home from school in the afternoon, and the house was filled with the strong aroma of food.
He dropped his bag and went into the kitchen.
Cynthia wears an apron and prepares food for the evening party with Marcus.
Rubelos raised its massive claws and struggled with the blender.
"Hey, Tom!" Marcus was the first to notice Tom, "would you like to try our new cookie?"
