Chapter 145: The Wife of the Ku Klux Klan

After leaving Houston, Alex toured with the group, staying for a week in big cities and two or three days in small and medium-sized cities. Depending on the local population and market environment, every place can make the whole city boil.

In September, they arrived in Atlanta. This is the capital and largest industrial and commercial city of Georgia in the United States. There are many blacks in this city, and racial tensions are more acute than in other cities. The power of blacks grew stronger, and so did their desire to elevate themselves.

It was also home to the infamous Ku Klux Klan, which had two in U.S. history, one formed shortly after the Civil War and disappeared in the 70s of the 19th century. The other is the Ku Klux Klan, which was founded in Atlanta in 1951 and is very active today.

Not so long ago, white ultraracists broke into a black man's home and severely injured the family. They were extremely opposed to blacks, Catholics, and Jews, and were known for their terrorist violence.

The Ku Klux Klan brutally burned and plundered blacks, whites who supported blacks, and progressive workers in an attempt to assert the supremacy of whites.

Forrester is a Ku Klux Klan, an ordinary worker in Atlanta who has lived on the land for generations. As a white man, he was proud of his ancestry and discriminated against other people of color, especially blacks.

His name is the same as that of the former Union Army General Forrester, a former general who was involved in the slave trade and was the first leader of the Ku Klux Klux Klan.

When Forrester was born, his family was feeling the pressure of black migration, with many white jobs being taken away from them and his parents losing their jobs. In order to make their son proud of his white ancestry, Forrester's parents gave him such a meaningful name.

"You have to remember! We whites are the finest race! ”

Forrester grew up listening to his father's teachings, and he was proud of his name. In 1951, the new Ku Klux Klux Klan was founded in Atlanta. He was one of the first patriarchs of this organization, and he devoted a lot of time and effort to realizing his ideals.

When night came, they would come together to exchange tips on how to resist black infiltration and share the hatred of the expansion of black power.

That night, in a small street in Atlanta at night, the light of a fire was slowly moving, it was a burning torch.

A group of people dressed in white robes, hoods and pointed hats, holding torches, trumpets, placards, and more. They were men and women, shouting slogans hoarsely, and came from all directions.

In this area where blacks gather, many people immediately closed the gates when they saw these people coming out to march. The residents peeked out through the cracks in the tightly covered curtains.

The crowd that was marching was members of the Ku Klux Klux Klan, and it was almost a monthly thing they had to do.

Forrester was also on the team, also wearing a standard Ku Klux Klan outfit, with a face flushed with excitement under the mask. He chanted slogans, his mouth open so wide that a large recessed socket was clearly visible on the mask.

"get out of Atlanta!"

"get out of Atlanta!"

"Long live the white man!"

"Long live the white man!"

He walked at the head of the line, holding aloft the Ku Klux Klux Klan banner for hours on end, and his arm felt a little sore.

The flag was a black and red circle on a white background, and a cross on that circle. The center of this cross is an upright square, and in the center of the square is a red pattern like Magatama.

At half past 12 o'clock in the evening, their parade was finally over.

Forrester hugged the rest of his friends goodbye, and when he got off work, he came over to get ready for the march. It is estimated that his wife has been waiting impatiently, and he has to rush home immediately, so as not to make the other party worry unnecessarily.

He has been married for more than ten years, and for some reason, they have never been able to have children. Mr. and Mrs. Forrester had an interesting hospital check-up, but they couldn't find the problem. At one point, they considered adopting one, but due to family financial reasons, the idea could not be realized.

No children, work is not going well, the economy is not good, and other troublesome things have always made Forrester feel very depressed and in a bad mood. Since joining the Ku Klux Klan six or seven years ago, he has finally found his purpose in life and has worked hard to achieve it.

Because he was too enthusiastic about the activities of the Ku Klux Klan, he spent less and less time with his wife, and the relationship was very cold. Forrester thought about bringing his wife into the party, but unfortunately his wife was a quarter of Jewish and did not meet the requirements for joining the party. What's more, the wife herself is not interested in such activities.

Forrester's body is tired, but his spirit is full. He felt that the day passed quickly, and it passed in the blink of an eye. Every day after participating in the Triple Klux Klux Klan, he feels a sense of joy.

"Jenny! Jenny, I'm back! ”

Before Forrester could enter the door, he shouted loudly, strangely quiet, as if no one was at home.

When he opened the door, he found that the lights in the house were not turned on, and it was pitch black. This frightened Forrester a little, and his excitement suddenly subsided, and his hot mind began to calm down.

"Jenny? Are you at home? Did you sleep? ”

shouted a few times, but no one responded, and it seemed that no one was really at home. Jenny didn't sleep either, as if no one was staying here. The utensils and stoves in the kitchen have no signs of being used.

A note was placed on the table, glaring in the light.

It reads: "Forrester, I'm leaving, please don't look for me!" ”

Looking at the words above, Forrester reflected on whether he hadn't cared about Jenny in the past few years, and whether he had devoted too much time to the activities of the Ku Klux Klan.

"Oh, no, no, no, Jenny!"

He lowered his head in pain and pulled his hair vigorously with both hands. Feelings of remorse, guilt, and pain all came to his heart, and before he knew it, tears filled his eyes.

After his mood stabilized a little, he reacted: "Jenny shouldn't have gone far yet, and she can still catch up." ”

"She must be chased back, or what I did will be meaningless."

When he got up, he wanted to rush out the door to retrieve Jenny. But he didn't know where Lu Dao went, he thought about it and felt that calling Jenny's parents or friends would definitely not have an answer.

Suddenly, he saw a newspaper with a large piece cut out of it, apparently cut by Jenny. He seemed to remember that it was a report about a concert, and Jenny liked music, maybe she went to the concert to get her hands dirty.

"Yes, definitely. Jenny was only unhappy for a moment to leave such a note. When she is emotionally stable, she will come back. ”

Forrester comforted himself, but he wasn't sure. He recalled it carefully, and suddenly remembered that his wife's favorite song was the Carpenter brothers.

"Alex's concert! Yes, I remember another party member told me the news today that Alex Carpenter had come to Atlanta. ”

With the direction he was looking for, Forrester was finally no longer so flustered. He thought for a moment and took out all the cash from the house, which he had hidden from Jenny. Then I hurried to the outside of the stadium and found that the morning concert had ended

However, there were still a lot of people at the scene, gathered together in twos and threes, as if they were waiting for someone. Forrester didn't know what these people were trying to do, and he planned to turn around and go back to his wife tomorrow. He had thought about finding someone to buy a ticket, but even if he went in, he couldn't find Jenny among so many people, so he forgot it.

"Hey, they're out!" Those who were waiting suddenly shouted.

Forrester followed the men's gaze and saw a large cart driving out of it. Only then did he realize that these people were die-hard fans. After the concert, they were all waiting for their idols to come out and want to meet each other.

More than one car came out, one after the other, all of the kind of tourist buses that were bigger than the buses. The inside is fully equipped, and there is nothing to eat and drink on it, and you don't need to come down for a week. One of the cars followed behind and actually stopped.

The men immediately surrounded them, and in the midst of the screams, someone could be heard shouting, "I, I, I!" Please elect me, I'm going up. ”

Someone else shouted, "I like Alex the most!" ”

"I love Chuck!" "I love Little Richard!" "I love Buddy the most!"

Seeing these crazy fans, one by one desperately trying to squeeze into the car, shouting that they like so-and-so.

"Hmph, what a bunch of brainless guys. What is wrong with worshipping, actually worshipping those actors with empty appearances! ”

Forrester, who was about to leave, glanced at the car, and suddenly he rushed over.

"Jenny! Jenny! Come down! Come back with me! ”

It's too far away, and it's too noisy over there to probably not be heard. In fact, no one paid any attention to his shouts. By the time Forrester ran over, the car had already closed the door and driven away.

"Don't, don't go! Come down, Jenny! ”

"Jenny ......"

Even though it was so far away and it was night, Forrester was sure that it was Jenny. Couples who have been familiar for more than ten years can no longer be familiar. It had to be Jenny, he was sure.

It's just that the figure is both familiar and strange, he has never seen his wife so brilliant, not even when they are married.

It was as if she had been injected with new vitality and rejuvenated vitality.

Is she still her wife, or the same Jenny?

Forrester felt confused, a sense of anger at betrayal, and a little frustrated.
