Chapter 378: Lessons
Cao Fu's curriculum is mainly divided into two parts, one is theoretical learning and the other is social practice. Theoretical study is also divided into two parts, one is political science and the other is history.
For a key figure like Cao Fu, the transformation department specially invited senior professors and lecturers to give him lectures. Of course, he was not the only one who attended the lectures together, he and other people who needed to attend the lectures formed a class to attend the classes together.
The political class is mainly to promote the set of things that are loyal to the monarch and patriotism, and Cao Fu agrees with this set of views, because he is also a more loyal person, but the object of his loyalty is Cao Wei rather than Liu Han.
But for history lessons, he had a different view. The history class focuses on modern and modern history, that is, a period of history from the beginning of the Qin State to the present. From the unification of China by the Qin State through brutal means of war, to the fact that the rule was too brutal, which led to the rebellion and the loss of Qin.
Then Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, complied with the Mandate of Heaven and successfully seized the world and established the Han Dynasty, then Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty, and then Liu Xiu "Guangwu Zhongxing" established the Eastern Han Dynasty, this history is counted as modern history.
Modern history begins with the Yellow Turban Rebellion that broke out in the seventh year of Emperor Guanghe of the Han Dynasty (184 AD) and continues to the present. In the professor's account, Cao Wei was a traitor who usurped the Han Dynasty, while Shu Han inherited the orthodox regime of Liu Han and was a continuation of the Han Dynasty.
Cao Fusuo disagrees with this last point, he does not think that Cao Wei is a usurper and a traitor, he thinks that in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, politics was too corrupt, and the officials ~ forced ~ the people ~ finally led to chaos in the world, this is Liu Han has no way, just like Qin lost his deer back then, all because the emperor was "immoral" and "brutal", so he was spurned by God and finally lost the country.
And they Cao Wei just obeyed the mandate of heaven to replace him, just like Liu Han replaced the tyrannical Qin back then, it was all providence, if they were traitors who usurped the country, then why wasn't Liu Bang a traitor who usurped the Qin State back then?
Regarding Cao Fu's point of view, those well-educated professors naturally have more reasons to refute him, how can Cao Fu, a martial artist, be the opponent of these Confucians, it is easy to refute it and have nothing to say.
Their more than a year-long polemic, the specific situation will not be detailed here, but just pick one of the examples to talk about briefly, one of the examples given by the professors in the polemic is the fall of the Western Han Dynasty and the establishment of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In 8 AD, Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty and established a new dynasty, which lasted for two hundred years and the Western Han Dynasty perished, but soon after, the Green Forest Red Mei Rebellion broke out.
In 25 AD, Liu Xiu rose to become emperor and established the Eastern Han Dynasty, and since then, the Han Dynasty has been resurrected with full blood, and the national fortune has continued for two hundred years. According to those professors, the current general trend of the world is very similar to the great chaos in the world at the end of the Western Han Dynasty two hundred years ago.
The current Jianxing Emperor will also be like Emperor Guangwu Liu Xiu, who will resurrect the Han Dynasty again, and then have a "Jianxing Zhongxing", and then continue the national glory for 10,000 years. These professors dare not say that this third Han Dynasty will only continue for two hundred years like the Eastern Han Dynasty, which is no different from looking for death. Generally speaking, when the courtiers of the world talk about the dynasty, they will say "the inheritance of the world", otherwise it is a great rebellion.
According to these professors, Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, established the Western Han Dynasty and could be called Bohan, Emperor Guangwu of the Han Dynasty Liu Xiu established the Eastern Han Dynasty and called the Zhong Han, and Liu Bei, Emperor Zhaolie of the Han Dynasty, established the Shu Han Dynasty. The term "uncle, zhong, uncle, and ji" was originally used as the title of the eldest in the family, the second, the third, and the youngest, and it seems that it is not inappropriate to borrow it here and use it in the dynasty.
These professors talked about a set of theories, and also gave many examples of linking theory with practice, where Cao Fu could withstand it, he was quickly dizzy by them, and began the process of being brainwashed.
In addition to theoretical classes, Cao Fu spends nearly half of his time participating in a variety of social practice activities. For example, the Prisoner Transformation Department will organize captured generals to visit some newly occupied Wei territories and get in close contact with the people there, so that they can have direct communication with the people there.
At this time, these people who were originally under the rule of Wei would tell them their miserable experiences, letting them know how miserable their lives were under the dark rule of the Wei court, how badly they were exploited and oppressed, how they sold their children and daughters and changed their children for food, how their lives could not go on, and so on.
Then they will talk about how much better life has become and how happy life has become after returning to Dahan. Then he will praise the benevolence and sage of the Son of Heaven of the Han Dynasty, and finally express his hope that Emperor Jianxing of the Han Dynasty will rule the world as soon as possible and reorganize the country.
The appearance of these poor people is undoubtedly very convincing, Cao Fu and many generals with a sense of justice are under the attack of this trick, their cognition begins to change, and their values also begin to change. They gradually began to wonder if the Cao Wei regime was really a corrupt and evil regime.
They are sometimes arranged to visit some "demonstration areas" in Shu to see the new style there and listen to the hearts of the people there. In these places, the people live in abundance, everyone lives and works in peace and contentment, the old and the young are supported, children can go to school for free, and when they are sick, they can go to the hospital for free medical treatment, and of course, labor compensation is required.
Here they saw a lot of new things: free schools, free libraries, old people's homes for lonely and widowed old people, orphanages for orphans, hospitals, etc., which were not seen in the Wei State.
In addition, there are new things such as smooth and hard roads paved with cement, horse-drawn carriages that run fast, running water that flows out of the water when you twist it, soap that can be washed clean when dirty, and telegraphs that can immediately communicate with people in other cities.
These things make them feel as if they are living in a dream world. Of course, these observations are shocking, and the cognition of these generals has undergone earth-shaking changes, and this time they really can't deny that Shu Han is indeed a country blessed by God.
Was Wei's rule really that dark and bad? Is Shu Han's territory full of heavenly sights? The answer is not necessarily. The places where these generals were brought to visit were actually carefully selected, and they were all typical of the typical.
It has to be said that Cao Cao was an outstanding statesman and military strategist, who unified northern China, and successively adopted such methods as recruiting displaced people, migrating the population, persuading farmers to teach mulberry crops, building water conservancy, and checking household registration, so as to enrich the household organization and restore agricultural production. In addition, Cao Cao also issued decrees one after another to restore the normal rent adjustment system to prevent the powerful from annexing small farmers.
Through this series of policies, economic production and social order were gradually restored in northern China, laying the foundation for the establishment of Cao Wei. Under his rule, although it cannot be said that the world is in great order, it is much better than the original world chaos, and the people have initially settled down.
It can even be said that if it weren't for the appearance of Liu Hou, Cao Wei would have done a better job in civil affairs than Wu and Shu, and among the three kingdoms, Wei had the strongest economic strength.
