Chapter 4: Peter's Inference
readx; Little Peter scurried upstairs and rushed straight into his room. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info he didn't care about the others, and threw the books he was holding on the bed. I threw myself down at my desk and sat down.
He pulled out a random sheet of paper scattered around the side. Then mark the characters that I just heard Ratfar say on the paper. He first wrote Ratfar's name, then the Pope next to it, and a cardinal below the Pope's name. Next to the name of Ratfal is the words "Commander of the Knights of Glory", and at the end of the four names are written the words "Successor Pope" and the Holy Imperial Family.
Little Peter tilted his neck and looked at the list in his hand seriously. After a while, he frowned, looked at the environment in the room, and hurriedly got up to light the candle in front of his desk.
In the dim candlelight, he looked at the names carefully, and kept constructing specific scenes in his mind. He struggled to think of a picture that was appropriate to the situation, and used his pen to mark the relationship between the names. He frowned tightly, as if he wasn't very happy with the list, and always felt that something important was missing.
Suddenly, he took up a pen and wrote the name of the old grandfather, Andrei, and the name of Uncle Wilhelm on this piece of paper. He thought back to it for a while, and then he wrote Louis Dieudonnay Bourbon, and finally marked the time 425 in the Divine Calendar.
He wrote the last word and leaned back in his chair, lost in thought. The room was very quiet, and if you didn't see the candlelight still trying to illuminate a little bit of light, you would even think that no one was inside.
Eva stretched out her hands, which were red and almost unconscious, and washed the dishes in the icy pool before coming to Morientes.
She was the last to arrive, and if it weren't for Moriente St. Stern taking a little longer to save some food for the two of them, it would be estimated that the two of them would be hungry tonight. Morientes asked as he fed them, "Why didn't Peter come over, just yourself?"
Eva looked at the little food left, first handed Peter's bowl over and waited until it was full, then smiled with a relieved smile and said, "Peter is in the room, I'll go back and bring him the food later." ”
Morientes looked at her in surprise and lowered his head to fill the second bowl with the rest of the food before he said to her, "It's snowing so much, it's not going to be cold when you go back." ”
Eva smiled and didn't say anything, but the expression on her face was very unwavering.
Little Peter frowned and thought for a long time before muttering uncertainly: "If you analyze it from the results, then the successor Pope must be very suspicious." After all, he and the Holy Emperor had reached some inexplicable terms of reconciliation. However, if the two sides were originally allies, then how could it lead to the withdrawal of the Holy See from the Divine Capital? Also, if this matter has anything to do with the Holy Empire's royal family, then isn't the time period a bit too coincidental? He kept thinking back to what the old man had taught him about his allies.
After thinking about it for a long time, he still didn't understand what could make the whole incident and the turmoil of the Krent Empire connected.
Little Peter had no choice but to pick up a pen and write on that piece of paper the line of the Holy See's subsequent withdrawal from the Holy Capital. Then he began to meditate on the list and clues on the paper, of course, if he was allowed to come up with it like this, then it could not be the mystery that plagued Ratfar's life. It's just that he knows that it's not of much use to do this, but he goes crazy and indulges in cracking and thinking.
Finally, he had some clues, so he quickly pulled out a piece of paper again, and kept writing and drawing on it.
Eva devoured her pitiful portion of food in the Great Hall, then waited until it was clean to put the empty bowl upside down on Peter's bowl full of food. She lifted her robe and held the bowl tightly with one hand, covering them with the other hand with the wide sleeve of the robe, and then clenched it firmly in front of her chest. She trotted all the way to the Redemption House.
She kept exhaling hot air, gasping for breath, and only felt the burning pain in her lungs. Finally came to the door of the Redemption House.
She cautiously stretched out her frozen hand, and with great difficulty, pushed the door open and walked in. Eva breathed a sigh of relief, and her whole body suddenly relaxed. She struggled with her back to slowly close the door that had been pushed open, then looked at the two closed bowls and smiled as she walked upstairs.
When she came to little Peter's room, she saw that the door was wide open, and the faint candlelight illuminated a small patch of light. Little Peter was writing at his desk.
She pursed her lips and shook her head, then walked over to him and gently handed the meal that was still slightly warm. Little Peter looked up at her, then took the rice bowl with her body temperature and ate it absentmindedly.
Eva hid her red hands behind her back, leaned forward slightly to look at what he had written, and asked curiously, "Peter, did you figure it out so quickly?"
Little Peter shook his head vigorously, his voice muffled because his mouth was full of food: "No, I haven't figured it out a lot." ”
Eva wanted to point to a name and ask something, but then she thought of her frostbitten hands and walked to the side of the bed and sat down before saying, "Then explain to me what you want to understand." ”
Little Peter looked excited when he heard this, and he set his rice bowl aside and picked up the piece of paper and chattered to Eva. Eva listened attentively with a smile on her face, and she only felt very satisfied when she looked at the other person's shining eyes and excited expression.
Little Peter pointed to the time marker and said to Eva, "Look, the year 425 is in the Divine calendar. The cardinal said that there was important information about the Krent Empire to report to the Pope. We also all said a feud about Louis Dieudonnay Bourbon and his feuds. So I assume that the cardinal is talking about rebellion. Then the Pope and he went into the parlor and were found dead by the time they were found. ”
He paused for a moment of serious thought before he spoke: "If the cardinal assassinated the Pope only to make his successor pope, then you can find a reason for it. You shouldn't have to wait until there is turmoil in the Krent Empire. Then the successor Pope reached a rapprochement with the Holy Empire. Really, I have to suspect the Holy Emperor, he's very suspicious. He smacked his lips after speaking, a little hesitant, but finally nodded vigorously.
Eva listened silently.
Presumably, little Peter didn't expect her to answer anything. He kept talking until Eva said to him, "All right, Peter, let's eat first, it's going to be cold." ”
He nodded listlessly, sighed, and pulled the rest of the meal into his mouth.
