At the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army, the boss was in a very good mood.

The Eighth Route Army's counter-sweep against the Japanese North China Front had come to an end, because the troops had prepared in advance and beat the Japanese army to the water dogs, and all units had achieved considerable results.

"Chief of Staff, the number of enemies destroyed in each base area and military region has been counted!" The deputy commander-in-chief asked with a smile.

The chief of staff immediately replied: "It has already been counted!" ”

"The results of the battle are good, the results of the statistics from the base areas and military regions add up to more than 30,000 people, and they are all devils!"

"If you add the puppet army, the various results add up to nearly 100,000 people, of which there are nearly 50,000 captured puppet troops alone, most of which were obtained in the final pursuit battle!"

"Good!" The deputy commander-in-chief was pleased with the result.

"The Japanese North China Front lost so many troops in one battle, plus a large amount of supplies and ammunition that they had lost in the past year of fighting. Without half a year, it is absolutely impossible to regain strength! ”

The chief of staff nodded in affirmation: "That's true!" ”

"The Japanese puppet army that withdrew from our base area is very honest during this time!"

"Because of the heavy losses in troops, they have abandoned many small strongholds and concentrated their forces on large strongholds and county towns to hold on, and the original sweep has recently stopped!"

"Our troops are taking advantage of this time to replenish the troops and retrain the troops!"

The deputy commander-in-chief finally had a smile on his face, but quickly regained his seriousness and continued to ask.

"What about casualties? The troops have achieved such great results, and the casualties must be very large, so what difficulties do the base areas and military regions have now? ”

The smile on the chief of staff's face was gone, and it was slowly replaced by solemnity.

"That's for sure!"

"The military and civilian casualties are very large, and the casualties of the troops have been counted, more than 40,000. The casualties of local troops, guerrillas, and ordinary people have not yet been counted because there are too many and too miscellaneous! ”

"At present, the biggest problem facing the base areas and military sub-divisions is medicine and food!"

"Because of the Japanese puppet army and the blockade of Chongqing, our medicines are very scarce, and only a small number of seriously wounded people can use Western medicine, and ordinary wounded people are using traditional Chinese medicine instead."

"Traditional Chinese medicine works slowly, and many wounded people have been amputated or sacrificed because of wound inflammation!"

"Food is also very tight!"

"There has been two consecutive years of drought in the base area, and the grain production is already very low. In addition, the war also has an impact on the harvest, and the food in the base areas is even more tight! ”

"In order to meet the needs of the common people, many troops have now begun to eat wild vegetables and coarse grains, and they only eat two meals a day, and only the wounded can eat refined grains."

The deputy commander-in-chief's brows also wrinkled into a big Sichuan character, and then asked, "How big is the food gap?" ”

"Five million catties, this can only meet the minimum guarantee of the combat troops!" The chief of staff replied.

The deputy commander-in-chief's eyes lit up and he replied: "I can solve five million catties of grain!" ”

"Chief of Staff, immediately send a telegram to the new regiment of the Taiyue Military Region and inform them of the difficulties at the headquarters!"

"If I'm not mistaken, in the first battle of Linfen, the new regiment seized at least 10 million catties of grain from the devils, and these grains were snatched by the Japanese from Yan Laoxi of the Jin Sui Army!"

"Ten million catties of grain and five million catties of food to support the headquarters should not have any impact!"

A smile also flashed on the chief of staff's face: "I remembered!" ”

"The new regiment has a strong family background, even if all the 10 million catties of food are taken out to support the headquarters, it will definitely have no impact!"

"I'll send a telegram to the new regiment now!"

As soon as the agitated chief of staff moved on the front foot, a communications staff officer rushed in on the back foot.

"Chief, the new regiment of the Taiyue Military Region encrypted telegram!"

Hearing the three words of the new group, the chief of staff reached out and snatched the telegram, and began to translate it on the table next to him!

"Boss, good news, the problem of food is solved!"

Soon, the excited voice of the chief of staff sounded at the command headquarters.

"Boss, I really doubt that Comrade Wang Ping has the ability to be a prophet! I was just about to send him a telegram asking him to support some food at headquarters. Before the telegram could be sent, he himself sent the grain! ”

"Comrade Wang Ping decided to hand over most of the captured in the First Battle of Linfen to the headquarters for unified distribution, the first of which is grain, a total of 10 million catties!"

The deputy commander-in-chief also rushed over, stared at the chief of staff to translate the cipher telegram word by word, and then asked.

"What else?"

"Directly hand it over to the headquarters, this gift must not be light, otherwise Wang Ping will not be able to take it, and it does not need to be sent directly to the headquarters!"

The chief of staff reported as he translated.

"The second item is medicines, a total of seventeen tons ......"

"Haha! Sure enough, it's a big gift! The boss was very happy and shouted regardless of his identity.

"Just now, I was still thinking about how to solve the urgent shortage of medicines in various base areas and military regions, but Wang Ping immediately sent them over, and as soon as he shot them, it was seventeen tons!"

"Chief of Staff, how much is seventeen tons of medicine worth?"

"At least a million oceans!" The chief of staff was also frightened by this number and replied with a deep breath.

Then he changed his words and added: "No, even if there is a million oceans in front of you now, you can't buy medicine." These medicines are absolutely priceless to our Eighth Route Army!

"Boss, with so many medicines, not only can we fill the shortage of medicines in various base areas and military regions, greatly improve the survival rate and recovery rate of our wounded, but also have a large amount of surplus to support our Eighth Route Army to fight several big battles!"

"What I want to know most now is where did Comrade Wang Ping get so many medicines, which directly solved the urgent need of our Eighth Route Army!"

The boss affirmed: "I want to know now, too!" You go ahead and translate and see what else is there! ”

"It's so scary to have only two of them, and it's definitely more exciting to look forward to later!"

Two minutes later, the chief of staff replied: "The third item is funds: one and a half million oceans and gold and silver jewelry worth a million oceans!" ”

The deputy commander-in-chief of "Hiss ......" was frightened again, and directly gasped, and didn't say a word for a long time!

I was stunned for a long time before staring at the chief of staff and asked, "Chief of staff, you say it again, how many oceans are there?" ”

"One and a half million oceans and gold jewelry worth a million oceans!" The chief of staff took a deep breath and forcibly suppressed the excitement in his heart and replied!

"With so much money, where did he Wang Ping get it! Could it be that he came here with Chief Yan! Yan Laoxi is willing to spend so much money to buy a Linfen City from us! The deputy commander-in-chief asked in surprise and puzzlement.

"Eighty percent is like this, Wang Ping's kid is too evil, it's hard to get so much money from Yan Laoxi! The content of the cipher is still long, and there must be an explanation later! ”
