Nanqizhou "Dots" - Buddha and Tao (2) (Page 1/1)
The boundless Taoist pointed quietly behind him, and the kite in the confusion slowly retreated to the back, and the Taoist waved the dust, looking at the afternoon Buddha peacefully, the aura of the two of them turned to zero, as if they were returning to the basics, perhaps they each represented the true realm of the way they knew.
"Dare to ask what the Taoist chief is?" Wu Buddha asked with a smile.
The Boundless Dao Master replied, "Since the master asked, a river wave appeared between you and me, and this wave of water rushed towards me, carrying your so-called 'cause' to my body. The Taoist took a step forward and said, "I take a step and tell you that my number is boundless, and this is the 'effect' of the 'cause'. However, at this time, I have only completed one 'fruit', and have not said anything else, but you know my name, hear my timbre, and roughly judge my temperament. No, what you get, or what you produce yourself, is actually the 'fruit' of the 'cause' that you have sown yourself, but this 'effect' is only completed after being influenced by other things and being changed. ”
The young grass in the kite's hand floated to the side of the Boundless Leader, and finally fell to the ground to regain its vitality, of course, it was only an illusory illusion.
All three of them looked at the tender grass and the flying insect with the diseased root next to it.
The Boundless Daoist continued: "There is naturally cause and effect in the world, and the 'cause' can be unique, but the 'effect' is innumerable, and it is constantly changed by other things. If you think about it, isn't it the 'cause' of the deliciousness of the grass that attracts flying insects? ”
The warm wind floated on the tender blades of grass, and the flying insects really ran towards this direction and bit on the blades of grass. After a few bites, it flew away, and the root of the disease also infected the young grass.
"In fact, it is the grass that first makes the 'cause', its fat and fresh is the beginning of all things, the 'cause' brings a large number of 'fruits', the leaves are fat, it feels more light, so it will become stronger and stronger, and it will have more dependence on survival in the face of wind and rain, which are all different types and degrees of 'fruits', and the flying insects bite its body and infect it with diseases.
It's also one of the 'fruits', but this 'fruit' is really bad. In this way, the tender grass is not the victim of the evil 'cause' of the flying insects, but the loser of its own small 'cause', and it enjoys a lot of happy 'fruits'. No, the grass does not have grievances, and the flying insects do not carry the grievances of the grass. ”
The Buddha did not smile again, but his expression was very serious, as if he was lost in thought, but did not speak.
The Boundless Path Master continued, "If you say where resentment is, I think there is no resentment between cause and effect. Flying insects are not guilty, and then the contact between flying insects and other things has nothing to do with the young grass, as for the grass infected grass and trees, they also eat their own evil 'cause' suffering, flowers need grass to help them soft soil, so close to the grass roots, so that infected with disease, saplings because they need to draw nutrients from the fallen petals, so infected with disease, no one can complain about anyone, if they are angry, they are also angry with their own grievances. Under such cause and effect, everything in the world is just the bearer of its own 'cause and effect', just like the boy who was poked in the eye, if he had not deliberately provoked the annoyed bird, would he have caused this calamity? Since they are all cocooned and self-bound, what rules are there in the world? ”
The Boundless Dao Leader waved the dust and said: "Therefore, between the poor paths, the master's 'cause and effect' Buddha path does not apply to all things in the world, and what implicates all things together is their 'connection' that conforms to the morality of heaven and earth, and it is not necessarily wrong to be a 'slaughterer', wipe out the tender grass, then all the disasters caused by the connection will be gone, and the worm with the root of the disease should also be wiped out, and its disease may also be transmitted to other things, kill it, and the world will be safer." The way of Buddhism is similar to the way of heaven and earth, except that you kill insects, I kill insects and grasses, you just judge the life and death of living beings with meaningless 'minds', and I deduce their future according to their connections, and take measures according to rational judgments, Buddhas can't cross all 'minds', you can't kill all living beings with evil 'causes', can you? ”
false
The grass was lying flat on the soil, and the insects were lying beside it, and their lives were gone.
The kite was immersed in the truth of the boundless path and couldn't extricate himself, and the expression of the afternoon Buddha has not changed.
The three of them were silent for a long time, and suddenly, the Buddha touched his belly and laughed, he pointed to the tender grass and insects, and said, "'Cause and effect' continues. The two looked down and saw that there was another black spot on the bug's body, and the spot was emitting black smoke outward. Buddha Wu then said, "You are wrong, the grass is innocent, while the insects are sinful, and they also leave behind evil 'effects' and produce evil 'causes'. Everything needs to survive, and in order to survive, instinctive actions are not counted as 'causes', is it possible that you inhaled poisonous smoke because you have to breathe? Is it true that whoever unleashes poisonous smoke on you is guilty of nothing? ”
The afternoon Buddha said brightly: "The fatness of the grass is its survival instinct, and the insect bites its body, because of its own greed, who is the evil 'cause', who bears the evil 'effect' can be known when you think about it, of course, the insect also has the instinct to survive, but it itself carries the root of the disease, even if it does not know, it is also the culprit of all this." When the grass dies innocently, resentment will naturally be born, and resentment will give the insect a negligible resentment 'cause', at a certain moment, the 'cause' will play a role, who said that the 'cause' cannot occur at the same time? Perhaps in the process of producing the 'effect' from other 'causes', the resentment of the grass is embedded in it and the 'effect' is transformed. When there are many 'causes' in a living being, it means that there are countless blood or sins in its hands, then there is no need for it to exist in the world, and we have all chosen to destroy insects on the way to redeem all things, but I am merciful, I am willing to give up killing a grass with disease, because it has no sin, it has the right to steal life. ”
The Boundless Dao Leader asked, "But what if the grass infects the flowers?" And how? ”
The Buddha replied calmly: "I will erase the grass and keep the flowers?" ”
"Does it make a difference?"
"Yes, I have given grass a life to live in the light, and this is the greatest mercy of innocence."
