Prologue, young Hong Feng

"Fortune telling, fortune telling! No money, a hundred yuan is counted, the half-immortal descends into the world, the Buddha blesses it! There is a disaster, there is no disaster to seek wealth and security!" Hong Feng took the bell in his hand and shouted while shaking it. A table was full of signing spells, and Hong Feng sat on a chair, with a bell in his right hand and a sword in his left hand, and from time to time he shouted as if he had just now. Next to the table stood a stick, to which the curtain was glued, and on the curtain was written "Hong Banxian God Operator", with a Taiji diagram and some incantations that he himself could not understand.

The profession of "god stick" has a long history, and the industry rules are very comprehensive. There are many things that can be done just by following the example of those who came before us. The slogan can also keep pace with the times. However, now scientific thought has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and a scientific ideological system has been established. It's like destroying evil spirits and then building a temple on their graves to suppress them, and superstition seems to be forever gone. However, the history of science is still too short and not perfect, and there are many things in the world that science cannot explain.

People don't know what those things are, so they attribute them to ghosts and gods. This is the awe of human beings for nature, and it is also the helplessness of confused and ignorant people. The superstitious ideological system was established by using people's psychology, and then it was gradually theorized, systematized, and comprehensive. There are many things in the world that can be known and unknown, and science cannot explain them, but theology can justify them. As long as such things still exist, as long as human beings still do not know, then superstition will definitely exist.

Most of the superstitions we often talk about refer to the feudal theological system of thought, which has not been completely eliminated since the enlightenment of human wisdom. Mankind has progressed and invented more advanced things. Feudal theology was in the service of feudal rule. (There is no complete theory of the theology of primitive society and slave society before, so I will not delve into it here.) Humanity was enlightened, and feudalism was overthrown, so ideologically, the feudal theology that served feudalism was also overthrown. Thus, like all victors slandering the losers, feudal theology was given the title of "superstition".

The word "superstition" is a literal interpretation: incorrect, inaccurate, blind faith. Feudal theology is inaccurate. It is the speculation of ignorant people about unknown phenomena, principles, and laws, and it is certainly not accurate to use guessing as a theorem. It is certainly inaccurate to treat chance as inevitable. The theoretical system of scientific thought is much more accurate than this. However, if it is a fundamentalism that treats scientific theories as dogmas and unconditionally abides, then such science is nothing more than a superstition.

Science is only accurate relative to feudal theology, and not every scientific theory is correct. It is right, and in a given situation, in different ranges, what is right can also become wrong. What's more, scientific theories are not told to human beings by nature, but are discovered by human beings, and as human beings with very large limitations, the theories they derive also have considerable limitations. Feudal theology is absolute and should be overthrown, and science is absolute, but it is also inaccurate.

Regarding the question of whether there is a god or not, Hong Feng has his own opinion. Hong Feng believes that God exists, but it will not be the kind of god described in feudal theology. Gods exist, but immortals do not exist as the ancients believed. In terms of longevity, immortality is impossible, because the energy of the universe will also run out one day. The activities of the gods require a lot of energy, and without energy, the gods will disappear. Just like cancer cells, they can divide indefinitely if they have energy, but the energy will eventually be consumed one day, and when the cancer cells use up the energy in the body, the cancer cells will die.

As for why people would describe gods like that, Hong Feng didn't know. Perhaps people's descriptions are just human understandings. It's like people watching the Cowherd and Weaver Girl fantasize about the story of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl. The Cowherd and Vega exist, but the Cowherd and Vega do not exist. Hong Feng is also looking for gods, wanting to see the gods that the ancients have seen, at least to see miracles.

And what Hong Feng is studying is the topic of "immortals". Whether it is an ancient legend or a Western creation theory, no matter what, a certain social form has an ideological system that is suitable for it. Even if it is a legend, it is politically and economically, and there is a certain basis. So at that time, there must have been some special event, and people at that time subjectively narrated unexplained phenomena. There will be deviations from reality, but it is not all imagination. And what happened at that time may still not be explained by science now, after all, the development time of science is too short. And unexplained things like this happen, Hong Feng called it a "miracle".

There are many legends. In the Bible of Judaism, it is said that Yahweh created the world in seven days (actually it was created in six days); ancient Greece said that Gaia was the mother god of the earth and gave birth to many gods, Zeus was the third generation of god-king, ruling the gods of Mount Olympus; ancient Chinese legends said that Pangu opened the heavens and the earth, and Nuwa created the heavens and made up the heavens; Islam believed in the creation of Allah Allah; and the great god Odin in Northern Europe...... Because they are different mythological systems, the power of these gods cannot be compared and cannot be fused, and such differences make it impossible to carry out research.

There is only one world, and they all created it, in that case, there would be more than one world now. Although there are different planes in Xiuzhen, they are not the same concept as the "world" mentioned here. From a scientific point of view, Jehovah created the earth's environment and creatures, and the Bible does not say that he created a sphere. Rather, there was the earth first, and then he created it. Ancient Greek mythology does refer to the universe, but only in the case of chaos (Caius). Pangu's theory of the formation of the universe is similar to the "cosmic egg" singularity theory, but as a result, he only created things that exist on the earth.

We can now know that the universe was not "split" by someone, but by a force. So, when myths and legends began, the universe had already been formed. Because they are vague when they talk about the universe, not as specific as they are when they talk about the creation of continents. In the 10 billion years between the birth of the universe and the birth of the earth, there may have been other civilizations. After witnessing the birth of the earth, they told mankind what it was like when it was born. In any case, the process of creation they say is very similar to the process of the evolution of the earth. Before the birth of man, the earth reinvented itself, the earth's crust moved frequently, and the atmospheric material changed. This is the "separation of light and darkness", "the creation of night and day". These activities are incredible, so it is understandable that the primeval civilization they witnessed felt that someone was pushing them, or that they deliberately said it for a purpose.

At this point, there are two theories about the Witnesses. One is aliens, what people call "gods", who come from ancient civilizations and have infinite power. They were born after the formation of the universe, so the birth of the universe is only speculation, but they know what the earth was like when it was born. As soon as human beings were born, they came to preach and boast of themselves as gods. When the people of the age of ignorance saw their power, they believed it and recorded it. That's myth and legend. The gods we call are those aliens who are missionaries in different regions. Their knowledge is much the same, but they all strive to be the creator gods. So there are different myths and legends in different regions.

Another theory is that in ancient times, before our civilization, people had a special way of finding out what had happened before. It's like the system of scientific theories we use now, but their methods are different, and their names are different. They left behind research materials on the primeval earth, and our ancestors invented myths and legends based on their own imagination based on scarce information. Of course, the conclusions obtained in this way are highly distorted, inaccurate, and strongly subjective.

Hong Feng prefers to accept the first one, because the first one is more mysterious and romantic, but perhaps because of racism, people prefer to accept the second one. The first has a glaring loophole: who could have existed for 4 billion years and witnessed the evolution of a distant planet? The question can be solved, but the reasons are far-fetched. They possess great natural powers and a long life is a certainty. Moreover, according to the theory of relativity, their time is not the same as ours. Isn't there an old saying that there is a day in heaven and a thousand years on earth?

It can be seen that the God of people's mouths is also a man. It's just a special person, it may be an alien with great natural powers, or it may be a smart and industrious pioneer of ancient civilization. Or, rather, more bizarre, high-dimensional civilization. Hong Feng believes in God, but he does not believe in the superstitious gods of legends, but in the real and materialistic gods. But even so, Hong Feng still hoped to see these gods one day and ask the reason for the legend. Even miracles are good!
